False Villain : Anunnaki System vs Demon Contract

Chapter 75: 072. The New Village Chief.

The warm afternoon sun welcomed the new village Chief, Reizel. His every step down the steps of the terrace made the villagers nervous. Rumors had spread that he was also one of the system user and it made the villagers worried mixed with fear.

Reizel walked a few steps forward and saw many people who seemed to be very nervous about what might happen.

Reizel looked around and took a breath. "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I, Reizel Naroso, have killed the old village chief, Herman, my own father. And now, I am the one taking his place."

People whispered to each other because of course they were very skeptical.

"You may already know that I'm a system user, but don't worry, I don't plan to follow Gilgamesh's words and enslave you." Reizel raised his hand forward and a black circle was created above his palm.

The circle then pulled out Herman's head from dark dimension which was no longer intact with his body.

"As you can see, I inherited this power and am also a system user. I intend to change the order and rules this village for the better without the need for the subjugation of innocent people," Reizel continued which was greeted by a look of confusion by the residents.

"We can make the village better and safer. With these two powers, we can live in peace," Reizel said, seemingly slowly gaining support.

At first there was only silence for a few moments, but one of the villagers started clapping his hands and managed to break the silence. One by one, the applause grew and grew until finally all the residents agreed with what Reizel had said.

The wavy-haired man was relieved, he could finally put an end to all the brutal rituals that his father started.

"For the first order, all system users who are still locked up will -"

{ No way... }

Reizel suddenly fell silent, his sentence seemed to be cut off by a voice coming from inside his head. A voice with a distinctive heavy tone, the voice of the kalomba king.

As soon as he heard that voice, Reizel suddenly became dizzy and lost his balance. He knelt down with one knee touching the ground. His face looked pale and cold sweat ran down his face.

Seeing the sudden change, the residents were shocked and some were even frightened.

When Reizel wanted to stand up again, his body felt so heavy and his body temperature seemed to rise dramatically like an instant fever.

When the man almost fell to the ground, someone suddenly grabbed him and helped him up, that person was none other than Randa.

"Reizel, are you alright?" asked a worried Randa when she saw her cousin's pale face.

"Randa... Sorry, I'm just a little dizzy... And a little... Tired...," replied Reizel in a breathless manner.

"Stop talking, I'll take you inside the house to rest," said Randa who immediately took Reizel's right hand on her shoulder and walked towards the stilt house owned by the previous village chief.

Rama suddenly stood up and blocked Randa. "Wait a minute, where are you going? The new village chief hasn't finished giving his directions yet."

"Rama!" Randa raised her tone of voice in annoyance. "Stop your behavior now, Reizel is sick, he needs rest!"

The young man suddenly became aware of one thing that seemed different from Randa and couldn't help his eyes from watching the woman intently.

"Are you... wearing makeup?" asked Rama who was a little surprised by Randa's new look.

Despite Ardi's encouragement, the woman was still not used to her new look.

A slightly embarrassed Randa turned her face slightly away from Rama. "Is that a problem?"

Rama could only smile slightly. "No, not at all... But let's discuss something more important. Reizel isn't sick, the kalomba king just hasn't fully recognized him yet, he just needs to sacrifice -"

Rama's sentence was interrupted as Randa extended his left hand to the young man's face. A large, muscular hand covered in a black substance that writhed and crawled on the surface of the woman's skin.

"Move aside, Rama," said Randa who suddenly became very serious.

Rama raised his hands in the air and chuckled. "Well, you're right, the new village chief needs a break."

Without wasting any time, Randa immediately rushed Reizel back inside the souraja-style stilt house. The woman opened the door and gulped as it was her first time inside the house.

Her left foot stepped inside and Randa immediately felt a strange tense feeling. It felt as if the whole house was filled with an evil aura mixed with bloodlust.

Fortunately, that didn't faze Randa and the woman continued on her way. The whole house was dark and there was hardly any furniture in the house. The only thing that could be used for resting was a sofa at the end of the room.

Randa rushed to the sofa and helped Reizel to sit comfortably.

"Wait here, I'll be back with the person who can heal you," Randa turned around and wanted to leave immediately but her hand was held back by Reizel.

"Randa... There is no need... Don't... involve other people..." said Reizel who was struggling to speak.

"What do you mean?! You need-"

"Rama is right... It's not... Illness... This is... The kalomba king's trick."

Randa fell silent for an instant.

"I... Need to solve... this... Alone... Go away..." Reizel leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes.

Randa was still worried about her cousin's condition but if what he said was true, then there was nothing she could do.

The woman rushed out to face the residents who might still be confused by the situation, but what Randa saw when she came out of the house was Rama who seemed to be gathering people to announce something.

"People, listen to me..." said Rama in a very loud voice so that it could reach the ears of everyone there.

"Our new village chief is sick because the kalomba king hasn't recognized him yet," Rama continued, making the villagers uneasy.

"That might happen because Reizel is a system user. But there's no need to worry. Reizel came here with the system users to sacrifice. So, just calm down. We will sacrifice the system users and make Reizel healthy again." Rama said with confidence and a feeling of excitement.

The villagers whispered to each other and seemed to agree with that.

"This is the new village chief's wish and this is -"

"RAMA! What are you doing?" shouted Randa who rushed over to the young man.

"What do you mean, Randa? This is -"

"Shut up! Reizel hasn't given any orders yet. If you deviate from his wishes, the kalomba king will be angry and curse us all!" said Randa who managed to scare the villagers.

Rama looked around and found that the villagers now looked both reluctant and afraid.

The young man smiled. "Tsk, an interesting thing was just about to happen, but you ruined it."

Rama turned around and looked at the residents who looked nervous. "Ladies and gentlemen, Randa is right! We can't make a decision yet. That's why we're going to have a party tonight to celebrate the new village chief!"

The previously nervous villagers were now enthusiastic about Rama's statement. It had been a long time since they had a party. And it seemed like a good time to liven up the gloomy atmosphere in the village.

Rama looked at Randa with a grin. "I don't know what you're planning by stalling, but whatever it is..."

Rama walked past Randa who was just standing there. "...It must be a lot of fun."
