Chapter 76: 073. Can't Leave Without Reizel.
Jessica, who had been lying down with her eyes closed, now opened her eyes quickly as if she had just had an epiphany.
The girl woke up and immediately glanced at Johan.
'Uncle, Reizel had became the new village chief and it seems he is sick now. The information afterwards is a bit vague, but it seems that they won't sacrifice us anytime soon, at least not until Reizel recovers.' Jessica relayed the valuable information through telepathy and immediately made Johan stand up.
"Sooner than expected. Change of plans, we're going home now," Johan said which suddenly startled everyone and even made Farel smirk.
Some of the men guarding them saw Johan's suspicious movements and approached the large grate box.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" one of the big men threatened and pointed The 3 skull-headed Kalomba at Johan.
"Alchemist system activated."
Johan's single sentence caught the attention of all the men guarding the area and reflexively moved their skull-headed kalomba towards Johan.
The goat monsters sped up beyond the speed of sound.
*Krak!
All the goat monsters suddenly froze in mid-air and hit a row of iron pipes then shattered into pieces of ice that scattered in all directions.
Johan did not flinch at all and of course it was not his doing, but Farel who was raising both hands forward.
"I already know how the attack works, even your attack is much slower than the boy named Rama," Farel said which made all the men shocked and scared.
As they were about to run, they heard a strange sound...
The sound of static electricity hissing...
*BBBBBZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTT!!!!
They were all shocked with high-voltage electricity and eventually became unconscious if not dead.
Johan pulled the iron pipes of the jail box until they broke. He stepped out followed by Farel and Galih who of course jumped out of that small prison.
Ignoir, who knew nothing but understood that it was time to leave, decided to stand up and heat the iron pipes until they became soft enough for her to pull them out one by one.
The wolf-eared girl blew on the area to make it a little cooler then invited the Putri to come out first.
"Move aside, I'm coming through," said Jessica who immediately stepped forward.
Of course that made Ignoir angry and snarled at the blonde-haired girl.
"Ignoir, just let her pass first," said Putri quickly.
"But, Miss Putri. Why -"
"Just do it," continued Putri which forced Ignoir to let Jessica out.
Jessica jumped out then gave Ignoir a dismissive look.
"Realize your position, hmpf!" Jessica turned away quickly and infuriated Ignoir even more.
"You brat!" Ignoir took one step. But Putri immediately hugged Ignoir from behind.
"It's okay, there's no need to get angry. Although I'm a little annoyed by her behavior, but this is not the right time to fight."
Ignoir's face became sullen and puffed up both cheeks because she still did not accept the decision. "Alright, if that's what Miss Putri wants."
The two girls also walked out and Putri went straight to Johan.
"Why are we leaving now? We have to wait for tomorrow," said Putri who looked worried.
"No need. Reizel has become the new village chief and they won't do anything until Reizel recovers from his illness," replied Johan swiftly.
"Wait a minute, is Reizel sick?! We can't just leave him."
"But we've got what we want, it's time to retreat before they realized."
"But Reizel must come home safely."
"I don't think you understand, our situation is not favorable. They still have some strong people who can make things difficult for us. This is a good time to -"
Putri immediately pointed at Johan's face while making an annoyed expression. "If you don't want to save him, I'll go myself."
Putri turned around and immediately walked away followed by Ignoir who also walked behind her.
Johan's head felt like exploding at her selfish behavior and immediately chased after the girl.
"Alright! We're not leaving until we bring Reizel!" said Johan which made Putri's footsteps stop.
Putri turned around with a satisfied smile. "This is better, friends shouldn't leave friends."
Johan with his face looking tired could finally heave a sigh of relief. Because if they left without taking Putri, Aril would probably hunt them down.
And considering the crazy things Aril dared to do for Putri...
Johan decided not to imagine the possibility of them returning without her.
Johan sighed heavily. "Well, then at least wait until nightfall so you can go sneaking around."
"Galih, accompany her," Johan ordered which immediately made Galih startled.
"Eh?! Why me?" asked Galih.
"I can't possibly send Farel on a mission that requires him to be quiet and not fight."
"Hmn... Makes sense."
"Good, then, off you go."
"Eh?!"
"Farel, Jessica, come with me, we'll hide until they finish saving Reizel," Johan gave additional directions and everyone finally agreed to the plan.
-------------------------------------------------
The night sky was welcoming and this was the moment Putri had been waiting for since the afternoon.
Followed by Ignoir and Galih, Putri sneaked forward.
To ordinary people, what she did was reckless and foolish considering they didn't even know where Reizel was.
Fortunately, Jessica's ability could guide them. Jessica was unable to map the surrounding area, but she knew the exact location of the surrounding system users.
Putri who had been informed of Reizel's location, were now sneaking through the outskirts that were overgrown with trees and tall grass.
After a while, they finally found a fairly crowded place.
Putri followed Jessica's directions and found a large stilt house that was dark as if there was no source of light at all in the house.
'Remember, you have to be careful.' Jessica told Putri through her telepathic ability.
'I got it, I understand already. Reizel must be in that place. The house is dark and emits a strange aura.' Putri replied swiftly.
Ignoir suddenly approached the Putri. She leaned close to the girl's ear and whispered. "Miss Putri, that house is dangerous. There are powerful creatures inside that house. Should we go in?"
"Ignoir, we shouldn't leave Reizel just because of this. Of course that place is dangerous, it must be the place of the most powerful person in this Village," replied Putri with low tone voice.
'Woi! You heard me! Remember, don't get caught -'
'Yes, yes, I understand. I'm not stupid.' Putri went straight out of the grass and suddenly bumped into someone causing the girl to fall to the ground.
