Chapter 73: 070. The Manliest Femboy.
"So, how did you like it?" asked Ardi who had just finished his work.
Ardi and Randa were in Randa's room. A simple room with minimal interior. There was only a bed, a wardrobe, a wooden chair and a bedside table where she kept some of her personal things.
Randa was sitting up straight and just staying in place. She did not make any movements because beforehand, Ardi had agreed to do a job that required such precision...
That was makeup and hairdresser, And the person being made up by Ardi was of course Randa.
After Ardi finished his work, he gave Randa a small mirror to use.
The makeup used was not something excessive. Just some light makeup that made her more beautiful but at the same time still quite natural.
Randa was mesmerized by the beauty of her own face and hair as it was her first time doing such thing.
'Wow... I kinda look cute in this...' Randa then realized one most important thing...
'What? Wait a minute! Why am I in this situation?!' Randa shouted in her mind.
The woman was in a strange situation where she was the subject of makeup done by a man...
Who looked feminine...
"You look cuter now," Ardi said with a friendly smile.
Randa blushed slightly but she didn't want to admit it and turned her face away instead. "T.. Thank you..."
'Eh?! This is not the time to be thankful! Why did this all happen?' thought Randa who was suddenly downcast while lamenting her choices. 'Just because of that one doll, some few things happened and now I'm stuck in this position.'
Ardi tidied up the ornamental utensils. "But I'm really amazed you have so many. You said you've never done it before."
Randa raised her head slightly to look at Ardi. "I haven't. I didn't know which ones were good, so I just took them all."
"And you got them after all this apocalyptic situation?" asked Ardi who was appraising a branded lipstick that should have a high price tag.
"Of course. You think I have the money to pay for them?"
"Hehe... That's right. People are busy looting food anyway, something like this will definitely go untouched."
"So, are you satisfied now?" snapped Randa who was a little annoyed at having to go through all this.
Ardi looked at Randa. "Then, why didn't you ever try it?"
Randa averted her eyes. "Because I'm not suited to things like this."
"But it looks good on you."
"Sh... Shu... Shut up!" Randa immediately pointed at Ardi with a rather annoyed expression "Why would a man like you do this anyway? You must be a gay, right?"
"Eh?! Why would you think that?"
"Admit it! Your face is so cute, your body and mannerisms are so feminine, even your voice, your attraction to cute things and -" Randa couldn't continue, the more she expressed her thoughts, the more she realized that she was the exact opposite of the definition of a feminine woman.
Instead, the woman paused and turned around. "Forget it."
Ardi laughed rather awkwardly. "Yes... Anu... Hehe... When you say that, I get embarrassed. It might be a little hard to believe, but I'm still normal, I still like girls even though -"
"Do you think I look cute as a girl?!" asked Randa so suddenly which made Ardi a little surprised.
"Of course, I'm not blind. You're a beautiful woman," Ardi replied casually as if the question was not a difficult one to answer.
To anyone else, Ardi's statement would have been a casual remark, but to Randa, it was the first time she had ever heard a man, consciously acknowledge her as a beautiful woman.
Randa was so surprised and excited that she couldn't move or speak. And the silence made it even more awkward for Ardi.
"Eh... Anu... By the way, about that earlier. About where I learned to this, I work part-time at a beauty salon. Hehe..." Ardi said trying to break the silence but Randa seemed to have no intention of responding or even turning to look at him.
Ardi who couldn't stand the awkward atmosphere instead decided to walk towards the door. "Then, I'll wait outside -"
Randa suddenly grabbed the hem of Ardi's shirt and held the young man back. Ardi turned around to find Randa not even looking at him. The woman just looked down with her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Even with a body like this, do you still think I'm a woman?" asked Randa, which made Ardi realize that the woman in front of him was not a tough masculine figure, but a woman who was no different from other women who had insecurities about their femininity.
Insecurity that occurs due to a physical appearance that is very different from the normal physical appearance of a woman. A different appearance that can make someone get social discrimination by people around them.
A feeling of isolation that makes one feel lonely and forced to put on a false face and emotions to cover up that frustration.
It was the same feeling that Ardi had been experiencing all along.
Ardi finally realized that they both shared the same thing and when he did realize, the young man felt he had to do something...
Something he really wanted when he was in the same position as Randa.
He swallowed his own saliva and approached Randa. He was silent for a few moments and then stood in front of her.
Randa was sitting in a chair, but the difference in their height meant that Ardi was about the same height as Randa when he stood in front of the woman.
Ardi held both of Randa's shoulders and stared at the woman, but Randa still couldn't face the young man, as if afraid to look at him.
"Please look at me." said Ardi who managed to get Randa's attention.
Randa was surprised to see Ardi suddenly become so assertive. But it didn't take long for Randa to realize that the young man was trying to restrain his own body from trembling.
No...
The young man had not changed. What Randa saw remained the same. A cute-faced man with a more feminine demeanor than most women, and that man was now trying to be someone he was not, just to convince her.
Realizing that, Randa could only stay silent and try to hear what Ardi wanted to say.
Ardi looked into Randa's eyes like staring right into her soul. "No matter what the people around you say, you are still a woman. No matter what you look like, you are still a beautiful woman."
The feeling of relief mixed with happiness managed to make Randa smile slightly.
Randa chuckled. "What the heck, why are you acting all manly like that with your face looking like a girl's?"
"Eh?" Ardi was startled and his face immediately turned red with embarrassment.
The young man covered his flushed face with both hands. "Eh... Anu... That's... I mean..."
Randa laughed after seeing that reaction.
"Hahahaha... You're such a girly boy," Randa said, still laughing.
"aaaaa... Please stop." Ardi continued to cover his face with both hands and now seemed to regret trying to comfort Randa.
Randa pulled Ardi's hand away from his own face until finally the young man could see Randa's smiling face.
"But even so, you are the most manly man I have ever met. Thank you..." Randa's sincere words left Ardi speechless for a few moments.
Seeing that smiling face, Ardi felt relieved because it seemed like his words had helped Randa.
