Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Chapter 274: Draw the Sword

Su Yan tapped his feet lightly, then lunged after Minerva.

"Om—!"

His Overlord palm slammed toward her hidden space.

Minerva's eyes went wide. She had believed her private realm was undetectable. "How… how did you find me here?!"

Boom!

The hidden barrier shattered. Minerva screamed as debris tore through her sanctuary, hurling her body clear of the impact.

Boom, boom, boom!

She crashed through several houses in succession.

Su Yan strode over the rubble. "Get up. You still owe me for what you did."

Minerva coughed, blood flecking her lips. "I… I admit I underestimated you—never thought you could find me—but I refuse to pay any price!"

"Hmph." Su Yan raised his palm once more. His Overlord aura solidified into a long, razor-sharp blade and hurled it at her.

Minerva vanished in a swirl of space magic. In her place stood Kagura, eyes flashing with surprise, but she raised her blade and met the attack head-on.

Boom!

The Overlord blade shattered against Kagura's steel. She skidded backward, sliding across gravel.

Announcer: "Kagura appears—blocking the strike meant for Minerva!"

Minerva's laugh echoed from the empty air. "Now that you've intervened, the two of you can determine the victor. Only you are worthy of facing me."

Kagura's blade darted toward Minerva's last position. The attack froze mid-arc—another figure appeared, trapped in a shimmering spatial field: Millianna, her face twisted in pain.

"Release her! Let Millianna go!" Kagura roared.

Minerva's voice answered from everywhere and nowhere. "Do you see now? This little girl is caught in my space, her magic being drained." She paused, then continued more softly: "But I do not wish to win by hostage or by points—I simply intend to exhaust this monster's strength before our strongest finishes him."

Su Yan's eyes glittered. "Despicable."

Minerva vanished again.

Kagura turned and dashed to Millianna's side. "Stay back—I won't let you harm her!"

At that moment, Makarov's rage finally broke. "That stinky boy! Eliminate every last one of them—now!"

Guild members hurried forward, voices trembling: "President, please… calm down!"

Meanwhile, Rufus of Sabertooth struck Risley of Mermaid Heel. Two points—bringing their total to sixty-three.

Announcer: "Reversal! How has Fairy Tail, which dominated for four days, failed to score on the final day?!"

Makarov's legs buckled. "Our guild… can't believe it…"

Then, suddenly:

Announcer: "Erza has slain Jenny of Blue Pegasus—Fairy Tail earns two points! They tie Sabertooth for first place again!"

Makarov's jaw dropped as he muttered, "Points… again…"

First-generation Mavis let out a soft chuckle—Makarov was far too old for such heart-stopping drama.

Kagura refocused on Su Yan. With blinding speed, she charged. "Feel the Heavenly Blade Form!"

Her scabbard-sheathed knife sliced toward him. Su Yan casually caught the blade with his bare hand.

Boom!

The shockwave cracked the earth and sent dust spiraling into the air. When the haze cleared, Su Yan stood holding Kagura's scabbard.

"What?!" came the stunned cry.

Announcer: "He blocked Kagura's strike with his bare hand!"

In the arena, everyone gasped—Kagura's blade was legendary, yet Su Yan had stopped it as if it were nothing.

He gave a sly grin and tugged on the scabbard. An irresistible force pulled at Kagura's grip until her fingers slipped.

"Ah—!" The sword slipped free.

Announcer: "Draw the sword! Kagura, who has never drawn her blade in this tournament, finally does—under such extraordinary circumstances!"

Su Yan tilted his head in mock curiosity. "Tell me, does your blade only draw for the one you love? That pulling it means marriage? If so, I'll gladly return it."

Kagura's cheeks flamed crimson. Never had a man spoken to her so bluntly—especially not at her fiercest. Fury ignited in her eyes as she spat, "No!"
