Devouring Demons in Demon Slayer

Time passed, and the poison in Zenitsu's body began to take effect.

Despite his best efforts using Thunder Breathing to slow the poison's spread, it was only a temporary solution; becoming a spider was inevitable as long as the poison remained.

"Breathing is getting harder, and my limbs feel numb," Zenitsu muttered weakly to himself.

As Zenitsu's consciousness blurred, he saw a large, beautiful butterfly approaching. He thought, "So beautiful!"

The butterfly transformed into a petite girl—Shinobu Kocho, one of the Hashira, who had been searching the western side of Spider Mountain and discovered Zenitsu.

Smiling, Shinobu addressed Zenitsu, "Hello! Are you alright?"

Zenitsu was unable to speak, only staring at her.

Seeing his silence, Shinobu murmured, "Looks like he can't speak. But you're clever to use breathing to slow the poison's spread!"

She produced a small wooden box, opened it, and drew out a syringe containing an antidote, injecting Zenitsu.

"There, you're fine now! It'll take a while to recover, though. Your limbs will grow back."

Shinobu then surveyed the area, noticing several other injured but salvageable Demon Slayers.

She fired a signal flare into the sky.

"Stay here and wait for rescue.

Members of the {Hidden} division will arrive soon!"

With that, she gracefully departed.

After the injection, Zenitsu felt his breathing ease considerably, but he had no chance to thank her.

About ten minutes later, a large group of masked members of the {Hidden} division arrived, initiating rescue efforts for the survivors.

Meanwhile, after Tanjiro and Inosuke left, Shinichi and Shinji remained vigilant.

Shinji excitedly recounted Ryuji's impressive performance during the selection process.

For once, Shinichi didn't mind Shinji's boasting about Ryuji.

Even if Ryuji had died fighting two Lower Kizuki, Shinichi acknowledged his genius surpassed even his own Kanoe-rank abilities.

As they relaxed their guard, they heard rapid footsteps approaching.

They immediately became alert.

Suddenly, numerous silk threads erupted from the forest, instantly encasing them in cocoons.

"No! It's a {demon}!" Shinji cried out in terror from within his silken prison.
