Kirin spoke "The sorcerer of course, Alcon is the legendary sorcerer."

He had been so quiet they'd almost forgotten him Lir scoffed "So your telling me to trust a sorcerer to drop us thirty feet above the ground?"

"Have you lost your marble's." Ara joked and a rich laughter rang through the room.

Kirin face remained a froze mask with no amusement then Regasus "His right I can do it, each prince starting from the last will be dropped before the first concubine then empress and emperor shall follow."

He wasn't joking and all off them drew their swords taking a fighting stance "To hell with that your asking us to commit suicide." Kael growled.

"If I ask you to kill one another, you will because as a folk of silverston, your duty is to die for the Emperor." Regasus drawled without fear.

Alivara sighed "I'll go."

Everyone turned to look at her "Mother?"

"I'm sore and tired, I haven't had a bath is days and I reek of clotted blood so yes I'm willing to get the hell out of here before, I die at the hands of a foreigner." Alivara exclaimed in annoyance.

"No." Vastus protest outweighed everyone "I will not let you be a scapegoat no matter how desperate you are to get away from me."

Vastus loved Alivara a woman he forced to marry him against her will, though she had grown to love him secretly she despised him for taking away her freedom.

Meanwhile, Laifeyar envied her for the bottomless love the emperor graced her with. "Your majesty I can manage, I was once a great warrior."

His eyes were hot with anger "My final answer is no, since no one wants to go first Regasus tell the future and confirm that none of us will die from this tower."

The emperors orders were the law as he sat in the only golden chair in the tight secret chamber.

"As you wish your majesty." Regasus took out a knife from his pocket and sliced through his flesh letting the blood drop in the ground.

He took out ash from his other pocket and began to chant in Hirekat an old language of dragon.

Fire burnt through the concrete in a whirlwind of bright orange flames the heat over shadowed the room "Alas Alas an old time shall pass, A lion shall pass and his cubs shall scatter, betrayed by the first the last shall rule the lands. Blood shall flow before springs glow, death and suffering shall follow until he shall rule the lands."

Vastus looked very concerned as the fire burnt out, the blood dried and Regasus wounds healed.

"I thought sorcery was an abomination in this land." Ava says guardedly.

"It is, which is why Regasus and the family of Alcon are the secret family of mages for emergencies." Vastus explained running his palm over his face "I wiped out all sorcerer's because they were a threat to our existence, too powerful to exist and could wipe out our race."

Myth gritted his teeth "So what does this prophecy mean?"

The tension in the room was so thick now no one could breathe "The emperor will die." Ara said drawing his sword "So does anyone object now to my Killing of this traitor."

A loud bang on the door caught their attention "I found a secret room!" someone announced from behind the door.

"Shit!" Kael spat then grabbed Regasus "I don't give a hoot if you're a traitor get us out of here now."

Regasus nodded "I can take two at a time."

The doors rattled and their hearts thumped loudly in their chest.

Alivara grabbed Tyr and climbed the window seal "Now Regasus!"

"Heraka!" he hissed and they disappeared.

Panicking, Lir looked down seeing them wave at him "They made it."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Kael and Kirin pushed him out of the way climbing the window seal.

"Heraka!."

Helios and Myth beat Lir to the window seal and Regasus chanted again teleporting them.

Lir was so nervous Regasus had to help him climbed the window seal as Ara followed behind that's when the door burst open.

The black knights stormed the room with roriath in their midst covered in blood and bruises they threw him on his knees "Drop your weapons in the name of Lord Ara Atlas Roveriasazar!"

Vastus frowned "In the name of whom you speak?"

The one dressed in a more fancy armour that vastus guessed was the leader of the siege looked him in the eye "Lord Ara. Atlas. Roveriasazar." he repeated without a stammer.

Simultaneously, they all looked at Ara his face was frozen then he stuttered "I d-don't know what they're talking about I have never seen these men father you have to believe me..."

The silence was loud in a split second Ara stabbed Regasus "If there's anyone that will get in my way it's you lord Regasus." he sneered as Regasus growled.

Lir looked shocked "Brother? what are you doing?"

A cruel grin lifted Ara's lips his eyes darkened with glee "What do you think?" he pushed Regasus and Lir from the window seal and watched them fall.
