Celestial Overlord: The path of conquest

Xie Long woke up from his meditative state when the divine pagoda intensely shuddered. He wanted to speak with Xiaoqian but he was sent out before he had an opportunity to talk.

The outside world darkened all of a sudden as soon as he appeared. It was broad daylight before but as soon as he appeared, thunder rumbled in the distant sky. Clouds gathered and the world darkened all of a sudden.

The changes in the sky wwre not limited to the space where Xie Long had appeared rather it affected the entire world. Many powerful cultivators noticed the changes and looks of concern appeared in their eyes

Suddenly a gigantic dragon appeared in the sky. The dragon was pitch black in colour and multicoloured lightning coursing through it's body. The world lost its shine the moment the gigantic dragon appeared. The dragon raised its enormous head towards the sky and let out a defeaning roar. Sky seemed to split apart for a moment before everything turned back to normal. The sky regained its bright colour as the clouds and thunder vanished.

The changes in the sky were for only few moments, So, the normal cultivators only felt a few moments of shock but the cultivators with higher realm felt worried because the appearance of heaven and earth phenomenon seemed like an ominous sign.

While many were worried, the one who caused all these disturbances had no clue at all. Xie Long felt shock when he saw the changes in the sky but he was more about his own situation at this moment.

'Where should I get some clothes?', Xie Long felt like crying at the moment. He, an eighteen year old young man roaming naked outside. He could only imagine how people would curse at him if they noticed him naked.

"Damn it, looks like I can only rob. In my state I can't even buy clothes even if I want", Xie Long thought to himself.

He looked around the surrounding and found himself in a rocky terrain. The environment was unfamiliar to him. So, he could only walk around with caution. He found a tree with large leaves and made a covering for his lower body with it's leaves.

"Big sis, can we rest for a while? We have been travelling for a day without any rest", a lively looking young maiden asked to a graceful lady sitting next to her. Unlike the lively girl, the lady next to her was more reticent and calm. They were travelling in a caravan with many carriages around them.

"Little Ting, be patient. We are only half day away from leaving the Wailing wind forest range. After leaving this crumbling stone path, we can take a rest", the lady spoke. She took a look at outside through window after talking with the lively looking girl.

"Hopefully, everything goes smoothly", she murmured. The group of carriages passed through the rocky terrain without any mishap. The cultivators travelling with the carriage relaxed a little when they reached the end of rocky terrain.

"Alert everyone. There are enemies....", suddenly a loud shout came from the front. Panicked sound came from behind also. Before the cultivators guarding the carriage could grasp the situation, they got surrounded by enemies.

"Little Ting, I am going outside. Stay in the carriage obediently", the graceful looking lady spoke. She rushed out of carriage and charged towards a group of masked enemies.

"Clang", the sound of sword colliding rang out as she stopped the sword of an enemy cultivator.

"Who are you people? You dare offend my Hongyun pavilion!", the graceful looking lady shouted. A furious expression appeared on her face as she saw the slain cultivators.

"You must be lady Yan Mei, am I right?", a tall young man appeared in the distance. There were two masked cultivators around him as they looked at the graceful looking lady.

"You know who I am!", Yan Mei looked at the masked cultivators with a guarded expression. A sense of uneasy appeared in her heart as she looked at the surrounding enemies.

"Without knowing your identity, why should I attack a merchant's group? I am even luckier as you have some valuable goods with you", the tall young man replied. He appeared rather calm as everything seemed to be under control.

"Kill everyone. We only need to take her hostage. As long as she is alive, the Hongyun pavilion will not send forces to another perfecture", the young man ordered.

"Shush!", the sound of sword moving rang out as a headless corpse fell to the ground. Yan Mei clenched her sword tightly as she saw her underlings getting slained infront of her eyes.

"Grandpa Tao, no need to hide anymore. Kill these vile beasts infront of me", Yan Mei shouted towards the distant sky. Her face was filled with rage as she saw her people getting killed.

"Do you think we are not prepared?", the tall young man smirked. A wizened old man appeared behind him as he looked towards Yan Mei.

"Young lady, his cultivation base is few stages lower than mine. I can subdue him but your safety.....?, a robust looking old man appeared infront of Yan Mei. He was reluctant to fight because Yan Mei's safety was more important.

"No need to think about me. I can protect myself. Kill these vile beasts for me. I want to know who is it that do not fear our Hongyun pavilion", Yan Mei spoke.

"Be careful", the robust looking old man warned before charging towards the enemy expert. His movement art was eerie as he covered a considerable amount of distance within few seconds.

"Clang", weapons clashed as their battle began. Their battle sent a shockwave which threw away all the nearby cultivators.

"Be quick. Leave Yai Mei to me. We need to wrap up this battle as soon as possible", the tall young man shouted. Fierce battle started as he and Yan Mei exchanged blows.

A masked expert killed one cultivator of Yan Mei 's group and suddenly charged towards the carriage in which Yan Mei was travelling. No one knew his goal but Yan Mei panicked when that expert charged towards the carriage.

" Someone save little Ting", she shouted with an anxious expression on her face.

The enemy expert took a look at panicked Yan Mei and a fierce smile appeared on his face. He turned back and swung his sword at the direction of carriage.

"No", Yan Mei shouted in despair. When everyone thought the carriage was a gone case, a strange young man appeared infront of the carriage. The young man was wearing nothing but leaves and holding a large sword in his hand.

"Let's take a gamble. I need some important information about my current situation", the young man murmured. He channeled his energy and hacked the sword towards the attack of the enemy expert.
