Celestial Overlord: The path of conquest

The young man who appeared like a weirdo was Xie Long. He was trying to find his way around in the rocky terrain when he stumbled upon the travelling group. He followed them quietly untill they were surrounded by enemies.

Xie Long watched quietly at first but when Yan Mei left the carriage, he considered it as his opportunity. He was left with no food, no money at the moment. So, he decided to plunder some money to overcome his current predicament. He closed on the carriage amidst the chaotic battle but before he could do anything, the enemy expert charged towards the Carriage.

After observing the panick in Yan Mei's voice, he decided to step in. He had already observed that Yan Mei had a formidable background. Seeing that, she was so much concerned about the person in carriage, he decided to intervene.

The attack of the enemy expert and his sword collided. Xie Long had readied himself for a rebound but to his surprise, his sword cut through the attack.

"Naked barbarian, you are courting death", the enemy expert roared furiously. The current development drew everyone's attention. Their eyes were on Xie Long who had appeared out of nowhere and managed to stop the attack of the enemy expert.

"Little brother, please do whatever you can to protect little Ting. As long as you can hold the enemy for a while, I , Yan Mei will owe you a favour", Yan Mei shouted. She was like a drowning person who had found a straw to hold on.

"I will belive your words", Xie Long replied. He took a fighting posture and readied himself to face the enemy expert.

"Leave the wild brat for now. Focus on wiping out everyone else. Be quick", suddenly the leader of the masked cultivators shouted. The enemy expert who was facing Xie Long was unwilling to let go of him but he had no choice.

'A good chance to pick up some clothes', Xie Long thought to himself. He selected a slain cultivator who was lying nearby and dashed towards him. Within blink of an eye, he stripped his clothes and returned to his previous location. The enemy expert had eyes on him but he was too quick. Enemy experts didn't get a chance to attack the carriage.

Yan Mei was fighting the enemy leader in the distance but she was keeping an eye on Xie Long as well. A speechless expression appeared on her face when she saw Xie Long stripping one of the Hongyun pavilion's expert.

"Looks like, he has a lot of confidence in himself. I should wrap up this battle", she thought to herself. She tightened her hand around her weapon and fought with the enemy's leader.

'Swush', Xie Long suddenly heard some movement from the carriage and turned to look back. He saw a captivating beauty with nervous expression coming out of the carriage.

"Senior brother, thanks very much for saving me. I will definitely pay you back once senior sister defeats this arrogant jerk", she spoke after bowing slightly towards Xie Long. Every movement of hers was captivating as Xie Long couldn't peel his eyes away from her. She was cursing at the enemies' leader but ever her cursing expression appeared charming to Xie Long.

"No need to pay me back", Xie Long spoke out involuntarily. He got slightly flustered when the beauty looked at him with gratitude in her eyes.

"I will definitely pay senior brother. But we should get away from battlefield first", she spoke with a nervous expression on her face.

"Are you sure?", Xie Long asked. She nodded her head firmly.

Xie Long picked her hand and dashed towards a location where cultivators' concentration was lowest. Two enemy experts were fighting a single expert from the Hongyun pavilion. They didn't even spare Xie Long a glance as they kept supressing the cultivator from the Hongyun pavilion.

Xie Long easily crossed through the enemy blokade and brought away the beautiful girl with him.

"Senior brother, thanks. Now that I am away, no one can disturb big sis", she spoke. Her nervous expression eased slightly after she escaped from the battlefield.

"What is your name?", Xie Long inquired. Despite trying hard to control his instinct, he couldn't help but looking at the beautiful girl.

"Senior brother, my name is Li Ting. Can you tell me your name?", Li Ting inquired. There was deep curiousity in her big round eyes as she looked towards Xie Long.

"I am Xie Long. Remember my name. If opportunity arises, we will see eachother again", Xie Long spoke.

"I will", Li Ting nodded her head.

"Senior brother, can you save this martial uncle from enemies? If he falls, the enemies will kill more members from Hongyun pavilion", Li Ting looked towards Xie Long with a pleading expression.

"Little Ting, are you from Hongyun pavilion?", Xie Long asked. He could see how concerned Li Ting was from her eyes.

"Yes, my grand father is the chief alchemist in Hongyun pavilion. Although my family is somewhere else, I am brought up in Hongyun pavilion since childhood", Li Ting replied. She looked towards Xie Long with a pleading expression on her face.

"Fine, I don't know how helpful I can be but let's try", Xie Long spoke. Little Ting nodded her head in delight after hearing Xie Long's reply.

"I will help only if there is no danger to your life. I will stop fighting if any enemy comes towards you", Xie Long spoke before charging towards the nearby enemy experts

The cultivator from Hongyun pavilion was hanging by a thread when Xie Long arrived. The two enemy experts had victorious grin on their faces as they rained down attack on him.

"Bastard, you are courting death", an enemy expert roared when he saw Xie Long charging at him. He swung his sword ferociously towards Xie Long even before he could come closer.

An attack came flying towards Xie Long after the enemy expert swung his sword. Xie Long could see the trajectory of the attack. So, he dodged to the side and continued charging at the enemy expert.

The enemy expert swung his sword again as he wanted to cut down Xie Long before he could come closer. Xie Long channeled the thunder energy inside his body and slashed at the enemy expert's attack.

"How is this possible?", the enemy expert cried out in shock when Xie Long cut through his attack. When he launched another attack, Xie Long was already nearby.

Xie Long slashed apart the enemy's attack again and slashed towards his neck. The enemy expert could only hurriedly bring his sword forward when Xie Long attacked his neck.

"Clang", the sound of a metal falling came out as the broken half of the sword fell on the rocky ground. A head flew through the air as Xie Long got the first kill of his life.

A headless corpse fell to the ground as Xie Long became stunned for a moment. He had imagined many things about how would he feel when he killed a person but never had he predicted that he would feel joy and exhilaration.

The dark bloodline in his body seemed to be cheering when he made his first kill. The crimson blood didn't disgust him rather it brought him sheer joy and pleasure as he beheaded one enemy expert.
