The energy inside Xie Long's dantian consolidated completely as he absorbed darkness and thunder energy from the surrounding. A mysterious force field appeared around him after he started pronouncing the mnemonic.

Xie Long pronounced the mnemonic repeatedly as the energy inside his dantian stirred. Finally, at a certain point a mix of darkness and thunder energy charged out of his dantian.
Xiaoqian who was watching nearby had a worried expression on her face. Never in her life, she had seen someone who would charge into the Meridian opening realm without knowing the pathway of merdians.
'I wonder how many meridians he can unlock. This realm is very important for his future cultivation', Xiaoqian though to herself.
Generally, an ordinary cultivator could open five to six meridians in the first stage of Meridian opening realm. The numbers of meridians he could open in the first stage, couldn't be exceeded in subsequent stages.
For example, if a cultivator opened six meridians in the first stage of the meridian opening realm, he could only open six numbers of meridians in subsequent stages. It meant he could only open fifty four numbers of meridians in his life time.
A talented cultivator could unlock upto nine meridians in the first stage of the Meridian opening realm. It meant he could unlock eighty one meridians before pushing towards next realm. That set him apart from others during a battle as his number of unlocked meridians largely exceeded that of an ordinary cultivator.
In the cultivation world, there were too many talented cultivators but geniuses were few who could unlock above nine meridians in the first stage of Meridian opening realm. They were considered to have heaven's blessings as they could channel an unbelievable amount of energy through their meridians.
There was a legend that at perfection, human could unlock 108 meridians. But there was no example of such an occurence in the known history. Even Xiaoqian with her knowledge never heard about anyone who could unlock more than ninty nine meridians.
Energy stirred inside Xie Long's body as he continued to pronounce the Worrieless heavenly wanderer saint's cultivation sutra. At certain point, the energy passed through his dantian and pushed open entrance to eleven meridians. Just when Xiaoqian thought this was the limit of Xie Long, the bloodline runes on his forehead lit up brightly.
Faint illusory figures appeared behind Xie Long and inside of the pagoda world descended into darkness. The facial features of the illusory figures were blurry but Xiaoqian could deduce that they were looking at the heaven. Unknown to Xiaoqian, even outside world descended into darkness all of a sudden. Bloodline energy gathered inside Xie Long's body and they forcibly unlocked the twelth meridian.
Just when Xiaoqian assumed the illusory figures would vanish, they started to dovour the surrounding energy all of a sudden. Even the outside world got stripped of every bit of darkness energy as they gathered inside the pagoda world. The illusory figures gradually became visible as they started to devour the darkness energy.
Xiaoqian felt trepidation as she noticed the feature of the illusory figures. Few of the figures had large wings on their back, few had horns on their forehead, few had jagged teeth which were protruding out of their mouths, few had frightening looking spikes growing out of their bodies. At the forefront, the illusory figures who had appeared, had no such frightening features but the pressure coming out of them was greatest. They had bloodline runes on their forehead which appeared to be controlling the surrounding darkness energy. Despite their might, they seemed not to be the leader of the group. At the middle of the group at the forefront, there were few illusory figures. Unlike others, there feature yet to be materialized.
"Just what is Xie Long's background?", Xiaoqian thought with trepidation in her heart. She had seen numerous wonders, faced her fair share of dangers in the cultivation world but never felt so much pressure from activation of someone's bloodline. The illusory feagures behind Xie Long amplified her curiousity and apprehension.
At a certain point, when the illusory figures became completely visible, they thrusted out their hands. Darkness energy gathered infront of them as they slowly condensed the energy into a globular form. When the globe of energy became smaller than Xie Long's body, it floated towards him. To Xiaoqian 's surprise, a suction came from Xie Long's body and the concentrated globe of dark energy got absorbed by Xie Long.
'What are they doing? Are they trying to kill Xie Long? How can a Meridian opening realm cultivator absorb such a large concentration of energy?', Xiaoqian though to herself with an anxious look on her face.
To her surprise, the gathered mass of energy didn't wreck havoc inside Xie Long's body rather they concentrated in a spot just above Xie Long's dantian. A mysterious entity appeared to be devouring the mass of darkness as the concentrated mass of energy gradually vanished.
'What is happening?', Xiaoqian felt puzzled. She kept observing intently as the mass of energy gradually got devoured. Finally, at a certain point when the mass of energy about to be got absorbed completely, a vein like pattern appeared inside Xie Long's body. The pagoda world shuddered as soon as the vein appeared inside Xie Long's body.
"A vein formation after meridian opening. Don't tell me, this is the supreme vein of legends!", Xiaoqian though out loudly. The illusory figures behind Xie Long disappeared as soon as the vein appeared inside Xie Long's body. The pagoda world shuddered more intensely as the vein inside Xie Long became more materialized.
Finally Xie Long's body vanished from the pagoda world as the chaotic environment finally settled down.
'Even the pagoda world can't hold him anymore as the birth of a supreme vein will cause a heaven and earth phenomenon. There is a legend that when nine supreme veins appear, heaven would submit.
I wonder if my conjecture is true? If Xie Long can really open nine supreme veins, he will become an unprecedented genius never before seen in the world', Xiaoqian though to herself.
''Time to sleep'', she muttered as her figure vanished. The pagoda world regained its tranquility after Xie Long left.
