Celestial Overlord: The path of conquest

Pitch black strands of energy started to converge around Xie Long. He was not actively absorbing the energy around him yet the dark energy continued to pour into his body.

He opened his eyes after a while. His eyes now had a darker shade as he looked towards Xiaoqian.

"How is your gain?", Xiaoqian inquired. She was very curious towards Xie Long's bloodline ability.

Without answering her, Xie Long stood up and raised his hand. An invisible aura spread out from him as it subtly affected the surrounding. "Imperial wrath: Limitless slaughter", Xie Long called out the name of the attack. His blood rumbled inside his body as small pitch black spear tips started to appear out of thin air.

With the lowering of his hand, the spear tips came crashing towards the ground. The number of spear tips were countless. It looked like a dark rain fall as Xie Long demonstrated his bloodline ability.

He felt a wave of weakness assaulting his body as soon as he finished up the attack. He sat down and looked towards Xiaoqian. "How is it?", he asked her with a smile on his face.

"Not bad. It is an wide scale ability meant to counter against numerous enemies. But there is a bad news for you. Unless your cultivation reaches a certain height, you can't use this attack outside the pagoda world", Xiaoqian spoke.

"What! But why?", Xie Long looked towards Xiaoqian with an incredulous expression on his face. He couldn't understand why such an attack couldn't be used in the outside world.

"Fool, dont you realise the difference between the pagoda world and the outside world? How can you get such a condensation of heaven and earth energy in the outside world?", Xiaoqian spoke.

"Bloodline abilities are based upon using bloodline to influence the surrounding energy. No matter how formidable your bloodline is, if there is no heaven and earth energy, you can't use your bloodline ability", she further added.

"Then what should I do now? I need to raise my strength as soon as possible", Xie Long looked towards Xiaoqian. He felt slightly flustered when he learned that he couldn't use his new bloodline ability but it was not enough to lower his spirit.

"Don't be in such a hurry to leave the pagoda world. I have stopped you earlier from leaving because you can't enter the pagoda world at will. Once you step into the outside world, the pagoda world will rest inside your dantian. You can enter it again only after it stores up enough energy.

Also the divine pagoda is a supreme treasure. One day outside is equal to three days inside the divine pagoda. So, unless you are a fool, you will not leave the pagoda world before getting stronger", Xiaoqian spoke.

"There is such a benefit!", Xie Long almost jumped in shock. One day outside was equal to three days inside the divine pagoda. Xie Long had never imagined that there would be such a benifit inside the divine pagoda.

" Princess, can you predict how many days it will take before I can enter the divine pagoda again?", Xie Long asked. This question was very important to him. He would plan his return accordingly after hearing Xiaoqian's answer.

"Normally it should take two to three months before the divine pagoda recover. But if you can find external energy sources, the time limit will be shorter", Xiaoqian replied.

"I understand. I will take this chance to properly cultivate. Once I reach the peak of Energy condensation realm, I will seek your guidance for the next realm", Xie Long spoke. Xiaoqian nodded her head after seeing how determined Xie Long was.

"Calm your mind and cultivate. With your talent, it will not take too long for you to reach the peak of Energy condensation realm", Xiaoqian replied. She continued to float in the air as Xie Long cultivate.

'A tyrannical bloodline which controls dark energy. A bloodline sea which can ignore divine pagoda's space lock! Just what kind of background his father posess? Why would such a person come to such a remote world?', Xiaoqian though to herself. She became more curious towards Xie Long, the longer she observed him.

Xie Long was absorbing dark energy like a whale sucking water. His absorption was so much that a small whirlpool appeared above his head. Dark energy continued to flow into his dantian as he gradually leaped through cultivation stages.

In Xie Long's world, every cultivation realm was divided into nine stages. First, second, third stage were collectively called as early stage. Fourth, fifth and sixth stage were collectively called as middle stage and the seventh, eighth and ninth stage were called as late stage. Once a cultivator reach the peak of ninth stage, he could push his cultivation towards another realm.

Xie Long did not take any time before entering second stage of energy condensation realm. He continued to cycle the dark energy through his body before sending it towards his dantian. At first, the energy concentration was very thin in his dantian but the concentration gradually thickened as he continued to cultivate.

"Xie Long, stop. I want to ask you a question before you can cultivate again", Xiaoqian shouted. Xie Long stopped cultivating and looked at her with a puzzled expression on his face.

"Tell me one thing. Do you want to give up on your maternal bloodline talent? You have great affinity towards dark energy. So, it is not necessarily a bad thing if you give up on your maternal bloodline", Xiaoqian asked.

"No, I am not planning to give up on either of my bloodline. I am slightly in a hurry to meet with my family. So, I have not asked you about it", Xie Long spoke.

"If you want to cultivate dual energy, you should mentally prepare. Cultivating two kinds of energy not necessarily a good thing", Xiaoqian advised.

"I am completely sure about it. If possible, I will not give up on either of my bloodline", Xie Long spoke.

"Then I will assist you in purifying your bloodline. I don't have many options to do it. So, we have to take the most painful way", Xiaoqian spoke.
