Blood Nemesis

Chapter 206: Luna 1

Oliver blended into the darkness and appeared a few meters away from his house, on a hidden alley.

An old man, wearing a dark robe, was standing within the alley.

As soon as Oliver appeared, the man took out a metallic box from his pocket.

"Thank you for bringing it here," Oliver said politely.

Although this person had once broken his arm, Oliver didn't have an unfavourable opinion of him.

"Hm…" The elder nodded. "Here, take it," he said, lifting the box and handing it over to Oliver. "I hope you can save the person with this." The elder added.

His voice was calm and collected.

"Me too."

Oliver said while taking the box.

The box contained the miracle medicine refined using a dragon core. The elder who delivered it to him was the same elder from the Lin clan who had once broken his arm.

"How is your young miss doing?" Oliver asked.

"Both of them are fine. The youngest was saved because of your assistance. We will never forget it. If you ever need our assistance, please don't hesitate to inform us. The Lin clan wouldn't think twice before helping you." The elder said warmly.

Lin Yue's sister, Lin Hua, was saved because of Oliver. If Oliver hadn't helped them slay the dragon, they would have lost their young lady to death.

That would have been terrible for the entire Lin clan.

By saving her indirectly, Oliver made a significant contribution. So, the Lin clan looked at him warmly.

That was why, when Oliver requested one of the pills made using Dragon Core, they brought it to him immediately.

Many others had requested the same pill, but the Lin clan bore all the pressure and sent it directly to Oliver, even making an elder personally deliver it.

Oliver was more than satisfied.

Unknowingly, he had built a relationship with the Lin clan.

"I will remember that." Oliver nodded. "If a day comes when you need my assistance, I will help you, too," he added.

The elder laughed when he made that statement.

The elder thought such a day would never come.

However, Oliver was sure of it.

The demons are certainly eyeing the Lin clan, as well as the youngest daughter of their clan head.

Some day, they would retaliate against the Lin.

Although Oliver can't predict when, due to the rapidly changing future, he was sure the day would eventually come.

"Of course, young sir. If such a day comes, please help us." Although the elder laughed initially, he saw that Oliver was being serious and said evenly.

Oliver nodded and decided to leave. "If that's all, I will be going. Let's meet up another day." Oliver said and turned around.

However, the elder thought of something and asked, "Wait a minute, are you going to take the hero academy entrance exam this year?"

"Hm?" Oliver lifted an eyebrow. "Why?" he asked.

Oliver didn't reply; instead, he asked a question, knowing the Lin clan already knew the Thunder Emperor was recommending him. After all, they had taken no measures to keep the disciple-master relationship hidden.

"Our young lady, Lin Hua would be participating this time." The elder replied.

Oliver turned back to look at the old man.

Was this person joking?

A few days ago, she was in a coma. And yet, she was going to participate in the Hero Academy test, something known to be highly challenging.

What kind of nonsense was this?

"Care to elaborate?"

"Cough! It was a decision she made. We don't know why, but she is being obstinate about participating."

"As a sane elder, can't you stop your insane young miss?"

"Hm…" The elder couldn't momentarily speak. He remembered how poisonous Oliver's words could be. He coughed again and cleared his throat before explaining.

"We can't stop her. Although the youngest miss is the kindest person we know, she is also headstrong and stubborn. There is no way we can stop her. At the same time, her abilities had also improved after consuming the dragon core. She is also in perfect health. There was no valid reason for us to stop her."

"Is that so?" Oliver rubbed his chin, thinking about something.

Then he asked, "Do you want me to babysit her? Is that why you asked whether I am participating in the entrance exam?"

"You could say that." The elder replied, hiding his embarrassment.

The elder had seen Oliver's strength first-hand. In the second-level exam, the participants were thrown into an unfamiliar place and forced to survive the dangers. Having Oliver with them was undoubtedly a good idea.

Oliver alone was enough to protect them in case of any mishaps.

"If I see her, I will help." Oliver simply stated after a moment's thought.

"Okay, thank you." The elder said in a relieved tone.

"Okay, bye," Oliver said and turned around, disappearing into the darkness once again.

A few minutes later, Oliver appeared near the Unity Hospital.

Stealthily, he climbed over it and made his way to a familiar room a few floors up.

With his blood manipulation, he stealthily opened the window to the room and jumped in.

Inside, he could see a beauty sleeping peacefully on the bed nearby.

This person was none other than Leon's sister, Luna.

A monitoring device was attached to her hand, and a few others to her feet.

But none of that could dull her beauty.

Oliver walked towards her through the room and sat nearby.

Then he casually took out the metal box he had.

He flipped it open and saw a crystal-like, semi-transparent red pill inside.

'Is this it?'

Oliver could feel the rush of herbal scent filling the room.

'Kinda cool.' He muttered and used his blood tentacle to take it out.

Without a second of pause, he pulled out the sensors and attached them to his own body while using a blood tentacle to send the pill into Luna's stomach.

The pill didn't even take a second to dissolve in the stomach acid.

After that, he pulled out the blood tentacle and waited.
