Yami and Charlotte – Dual Training Under Titans
The next morning, the sun rose over the massive canyon carved out specifically for this elite combat training. Grim stood at the center, arms crossed, red eyes gleaming beneath golden strands of hair. Around him stood Captain Yami Sukehiro, leaning on his katana lazily, and Captain Charlotte Roselei, regal and poised, magic swirling softly around her.
"Alright, kid," Yami grinned. "Today, we teach you how not to die when things get real."
"I thought things already were real," Grim replied casually, smirking. His tone oozed unshakable confidence, a touch of swagger that reminded Yami of someone else entirely.
"You talk like you've seen everything," Yami said.
"I've seen enough," Grim muttered to himself, gaze distant. But I'll act like I've seen it all.
That was his secret. Behind the cocky grin and king-like charisma was a boy pretending to be untouchable—because he had no idea how to be vulnerable.
Still… Grim thought, Captain Yami. In my past life… you were my idol. That unbreakable will of yours… that's what I wanted.
"That's the right attitude," Charlotte said, eyeing him. "But don't let that confidence make you sloppy."
She crossed her arms, speaking coolly—but her gaze lingered just a little too long on Grim's slightly flushed cheeks.
He's too smug for his age… but why is he so damn adorable when he smiles like that? she thought.
Charlotte turned her head, cheeks dusted pink. "Don't misunderstand! I'm only here because I was assigned. And I—well—someone has to make sure this brat doesn't blow himself up."
Behind that noble pride, though, Charlotte was internally screaming:
I want to squish his chubby cheeks…!
---
Yami stretched, cracking his shoulders. "First up, we're teaching you about ki. I use it to sense people's movements when my mana can't pick them up. You'll learn to read the flow of life itself."
Grim blinked, intrigued. "So like battle instinct, but refined?"
"Exactly. Battle instinct's raw. Ki is reading what's beneath the surface. Your senses—sight, sound, smell—are garbage in a real fight. Ki is how I slice through magic."
"Show me."
Yami grinned. "With pleasure."
He vanished.
Grim's eyes widened, sensing a disturbance behind him. He rolled, barely dodging Yami's blade.
"Not bad," Yami said, slashing again.
Grim countered with a burst of Singularity Magic, but it dispersed too wide.
"Focus your senses!" Yami barked. "Don't see me—feel me!"
Meanwhile, Charlotte raised her hand. Vines of rose-shaped mana laced through the air, creating a moving obstacle course.
"While you're dodging Yami, you must navigate my Thorn Labyrinth. It's precision training."
The vines lashed forward. Grim jumped, flipped, spun—and stumbled.
One thorn slashed his cheek.
He skidded back, breathing heavily.
"Not bad," Charlotte said, impressed. "But still reckless."
Yami appeared beside her, hand on his sword. "Let's turn it up a notch."

Meanwhile – Reactions from Afar
From a nearby ridge, Noelle and Nebra watched, hidden behind a magical barrier.
When Grim stumbled and got cut, Noelle gasped, heart skipping. "Grim…"
Beside her, Nebra gripped the edge of the ridge, her nails digging into the stone.
"Why is he pushing himself like that?" Noelle muttered.
"Because he wants to become stronger," Nebra answered, voice sharp. "Stronger than anyone."
When Yami suddenly swung his sword at Grim's ribs, and Grim barely blocked it, both girls' magic surged unconsciously.
Noelle's mana flickered in her aura.
Nebra's fog wrapped around her shoulders like a cloak.
"If he gets seriously hurt…" Noelle whispered.
"I'll kill them," Nebra hissed.
The two turned to each other.
Oh no.
Oh no.
They both realized something at once: they weren't just worried.
They were furious.
---
On another hill, Nozel stood beside a new arrival—Mimosa Vermillion, a kind-hearted noble girl from the Golden Dawn.
"That boy is quite skilled," Mimosa said politely. "He's so young, and yet his mana is… terrifying."
Nozel didn't answer. His sharp silver eyes were glued to Grim, and then to Noelle, whose magic had started reacting emotionally.
"Interesting…" Nozel muttered. "So this boy… makes both Nebra and Noelle act like that."
Nozel had seen many things in his life.
But a boy who could simultaneously inspire affection, loyalty, and yandere rage in two Silva sisters?
He was… stunned.

Leo's Resolve
Farther back, Leo Vermillion watched Grim battle both Yami and Charlotte at once.
Sweat trailed down Leo's brow.
"I'm behind…" he whispered.
Beside him, Fuegolion slapped him on the back.
"You're not behind. You're just building up!"
"No, Grim's different. His magic is like a storm," Leo said. "But I'll catch up. I'm a Vermillion. I'll burn as hot as Mereoleona one day."
He clenched his fists. "Just wait, Grim. I'll stand on that battlefield too."

Back in the Arena – A Moment of Light
Grim dodged two of Charlotte's thorn strikes and parried Yami's slash with a newly awakened counterspell.
"Singularity Magic: Lotus Veil of Samsara – Counter Bloom!"
A shimmering lotus barrier burst from his palms, deflecting both attacks in a radiant explosion of mana.
Both captains blinked.
Yami chuckled. "Alright, you're getting scary."
Charlotte, eyes wide, looked genuinely impressed. "You improvised that mid-battle?"
Grim smirked. "I told you I'm a quick learner."
She crossed her arms and turned away, cheeks slightly red. "Don't get cocky. You're just slightly… less annoying now."
His cheeks are so squishy… I just want to grab them—No! Compose yourself, Charlotte! she scolded herself mentally.
---
He fell to one knee, panting.
Yami stepped forward. "You alright, brat?"
Grim looked up—and then stood, blood red eyes glowing fiercely.
His smirk turned razor sharp.
Just like Gojo… he thought. Confidence masks everything. But this time, it's real. This time…
"I want to try something," Grim whispered to himself.
He raised one hand to the sky, magic surging wildly.
"Right here…" he whispered.
He clenched his fist.
"Right now... I'm surpassing my limits!"
His mana flared like a golden tempest, arcs of pressure shooting through the canyon.
Suddenly, everyone—including the captains—felt something strange.
A force—an aura.
It wasn't just mana.
It was will.
Grim's voice echoed: "Singularity Magic: Imperial Pressure – Sovereign's Dominion."
The ground cracked beneath him. Trees bent. Magic knights across the field dropped to one knee, overwhelmed by the spiritual pressure.
Charlotte gasped. "What is this… magic?!"
Yami blinked. "The hell…? I didn't teach him that."
He watched Grim carefully, remembering the power.
That's not ki. It's not mana. It's pure dominance.
But Grim only whispered in his mind:
Conqueror's Haki… I always wanted to try it.
Yami… you taught me more than you know in my past life. This is for you.
