Being A Law God In Marvel!

Chapter 46: Medhiv Card Again

[]

Ryuji stared at the system interface, feeling a mix of frustration and resignation. "Erase the interest entirely? That still leaves me owing… what, 17,038 talent points? What a scam."

He sighed deeply, muttering to himself, "The system must really want those talent points badly. Maybe I can haggle my way out of this."

Ryuji leaned forward and made his pitch. "How about this: instead of just erasing the interest, why don't you erase the full debt of 7,000 points I owe? Fair deal, right?"

[Host, please stop with these ridiculous ideas. That is absolutely impossible!]

"Absolutely impossible?"

[Absolutely!]

Ryuji leaned back, pretending to consider his options. "Fine. I'll just stop drawing cards altogether. Let's keep it as is."

[...]

The system remained silent for a moment before reluctantly responding. [It is impossible to erase the owed talent points entirely. However...]

Ryuji smirked. "Knew there was a catch. Spill it."

[This system can allow the host to draw a weapon or piece of equipment from the character card pool. However, this will be a random draw.]

Ryuji rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Random weapon or equipment, huh? But it's gotta be something personal to the character, not just a generic trinket, right?"

[The equipment or weapon will indeed belong to the character drawn. However, the exact item will depend on your luck.]

Ryuji considered his odds. "So, I might get some top-tier magical artifact… or I could end up with a basic staff used during someone's training days. Alright, fine. I'll take the gamble."

[Then let's begin—]

"Wait," Ryuji interrupted. "Didn't you promise to show me the SS cards available? Don't think you can wiggle out of this one."

[...]

The system begrudgingly complied, and a bright red slot machine appeared before him. The screen was filled with shimmering, crimson-hued SS character cards, each one glowing with an aura of power.

Ryuji's eyes lit up as he scanned the display. "Whoa… this is a goldmine."

He leaned closer, reading out loud. "'Guardian Dragon,' 'Spell Weaver,' and… 'Blue Dragon King' Malygos!"

Ryuji felt a surge of excitement. "Malygos, the freaking guardian of magic! This guy could control every arcane force imaginable. In terms of raw magical power, he's practically a god."

He continued scrolling through the cards. "And look, the rest of the Dragon Aspects are here too—Alexstrasza, the Red Dragon Queen, with her life magic; Nozdormu, the Bronze Dragon King, with time manipulation; Ysera, the Green Dragon Queen, master of dreams. They're all defined as 'magic traits' by the system."

He paused, a thought striking him. "Wait, Nightmare already exists in the Marvel universe as the master of dreams. This could get interesting."

His eyes darted to another card. "Natsu Dragneel in END mode? Zeref in his purest form? Oh man, Zeref's dark magic could wipe out entire armies without even lifting a finger."

Ryuji's excitement bubbled over as he thought about the potential rewards. "If I could pull something like the Book of Zeref, that'd be insane! All those demons—pure power at my fingertips."

He scrolled further, noticing even more intriguing possibilities. "'Astral Wanderer,' 'Guardian of Tirisfal,' Medivh? Oh, hell yes. The most powerful mage in Azeroth, hands down. Karazhan alone holds enough arcane knowledge to rival the Sanctum Sanctorum!"

The prospect of pulling Medivh's artifacts made Ryuji salivate. "The Book of Medivh, the staff Atiesh… I could be unstoppable."

The system interrupted his daydreams. [Host!]

"Ah, sorry, sorry. Let's do this!"

Ryuji pressed his palm to the glowing slot machine interface. The cursor darted across the SS cards in rapid succession.

"Zeref! C'mon, give me Zeref!"

The machine slowed, the cursor inching closer to Zeref's card before veering off course.

[Congratulations, Host. You have drawn the legendary mage of Azeroth, 'Astral Wanderer' Medivh.]

Ryuji slumped back, a mix of disappointment and awe. "Medivh, huh? I mean… that's still awesome, but I was really hoping for Zeref."

He sighed, shaking his head. "Guess I can't complain. Medivh is still one of the strongest magic-users ever. Let's see what weapon I get…"

The screen shimmered, and a notification popped up: [You have received: Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian.]

Ryuji grinned, twirling an imaginary staff in his hand. "Alright, system. You've redeemed yourself this time."
