Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Mother Bai was furious when she heard Lu Yin's words. She was always the peacemaker and would never do anything that would cause her family to be in trouble, but as a mother, she couldn't withstand these beasts. How dare they threaten her daughter? And they actually dared to target her grandson? HOW DARE THEY!

"You bitch! Who are you threatening—"

But before Mother Bai could say anything more, Bai Meiyue raised her hand and stopped her. She turned to look at Lu Yin and the rest before raising her brows. She questioned, "Oh, it seems like you have come to the conclusion that you can use my child to threaten and control me? Isn't that right?"

No sooner did she finish speaking than the ice parasites did their job. They sucked in all the heat within the bodies of the researchers and the soldiers. The soldiers and the researchers didn't even get to cry out loud as their bodies started to stiffen. They didn't even notice what was going on, and before they knew it, their vision started to turn dark, and a second later, their bodies started staggering.

No one had noticed anything yet. Lu Yin raised her lips mockingly and said to Bai Meiyue, "Of course. Who asked you to be so foolish? Did you think that your greed would have no consequences? Now stop acting arrogantly and open the door."

Just as she finished speaking, the soldiers behind her started falling on the floor. Along with them were the researchers who toppled over and soon lost their breath. Their lips turned blue, with their skin turned pale. Even without examining them, anyone could tell that they were dead.

The sound of thudding caused everyone to turn to look behind them. When Lu Yin and the rest saw the corpses of the soldiers behind them, their expression shifted.

"You—" Lu Yin turned and looked at Bai Meiyue. Just now, neither of them saw her move, so how could she kill these soldiers without anyone finding out?

However, before Lu Yin could say anything, Bai Meiyue reached out and opened the door. She summoned Ciyi, who launched an attack at Lu Yin.

"AHHH!" Lu Yin gasped in pain as Ciyi pounced on her and swept her claws at the face of the woman who had threatened her master. Blood gushed out of the cuts that formed on Lu Yin's face after Ciyi's attack.

Dacheng and Chief Lin rushed to help Lu Yin, but before they could make a move, Yang Chunhua, along with a few ability users, darted towards them. Soon, the two of them were trapped in cages from which they couldn't break out.

"You fools, did you take my silence as my weakness?" Bai Meiyue questioned as she blocked Mother Bai behind her and then walked over to where Lu Yin was standing. She still had her face clutched in her hands as she eyed Bai Meiyue with a look of horror on her face. "The only reason I stayed quiet is not because I am scared, but because I don't want to waste my time finding trouble with you. How dare you come here and cause trouble for me and my family every other day? You thought that you would step on my bottom line and I would listen to you?"

Chief Lin tried to break through his gaze, but one of the users under Bai Meiyue was a fire user. Though not as strong as Lei Qian, he could make some fine traps and cages. Thus, the cage which was used to trap Chief Lin burned all the vines that shot out to break. Seeing this, Chief Lin turned and looked at Bai Meiyue before saying to her, "You better stop when you have the chance, Bai Meiyue. You cannot disrupt the peace of the two sides!"

"Is it I who is disrupting the peace?" Bai Meiyue questioned as she raised her head and looked at Chief Lin, who choked on his words. "It's you all who cannot sit still. You foolishly take the silence of others as their weakness and come to cause trouble."

She then turned to look at Lu Yin, who stepped back in horror. At the moment, Lu Yin could not see anything other than Bai Meiyue. Her clear eyes reflected Bai Meiyue, who was walking toward her, and she felt terror rise all the way to her heart.

"Stay–stay away!"

"You have been avoiding accepting that I am a really strong ability user, right? But you need to accept that I am a really powerful ability user. If I want to, I can kill every single member of this base. Alone."

Her words caused the three members of the army to raise and look at her in shock. Though they had expected such a thing, they wished for it to be a lie, as they didn't want Bai Meiyue to be stronger than them or the ability users of the base. But now that they had heard Bai Meiyue claim that she could kill the entire base on her own, they felt their hearts clench.

"The only reason I am staying quiet and letting Yu Miaomiao do whatever she wants is because I want to raise my child without any worries. You think that you can threaten the child of a high-ability user and then survive? That's a foolish idea. If you dare to touch my child, then you will evoke my wrath. Sit down and think about it, do you think you can withstand my rage? The ambition and glory that you wish to get—I can ruin it all in a matter of a few seconds. You faced the flood, right? I can create a tsunami three times bigger and more dangerous than that. Now, who here should be scared?"

More than thirteen years—She had looked for her son for more than thirteen years. Even when her bones and body wanted to give up, she had stood up and fought. Even when she was shot countless times she had brought down base after base to crumbles. If these people tried to attack her son, she could turn the world upside down.
