Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 337: Different Supplies

To the surprise of everyone, the gasoline was not mixed with water even after the flood had covered the station completely for so long.

It was almost like a miracle as it was unimaginable that the underground tank used to hold fuel had not had water leak in and mix with the gasoline.

Seeing that everything was good, the few guys each took a bottle and went to fill it from the pump. Then they loaded them into the car and drove away.

They had been gone for less than three hours and they planned on coming back before others discovered the place they had found and took the other supplies.

Fu Nie was sure that if they went for another trip, a third trip would mean that many people would follow them. He knew that there were a lot of people watching people from their team and what they were bringing back.

So, he made a decision to come with another group and a bigger truck so that they could take more supplies.

He won't take anything because he was sure that some people would follow them and try to get something. So, he had to leave some crumbs for them.

Going back home, the team realized that more people had come out to scavenge for supplies as well. They must have had the same idea of taking advantage of the reduced number of zombies.

What they noticed though was that many people were walking and not driving.

The vehicles of most of the population had become unusable after the floods while others were swept away.

Finding modified vehicles like the ones they were driving was not an easy task.

That was why along the way as they went back, Fu Nie was searching for a truck in a good condition that could be used to transport supplies.

It took them stopping and inspecting vehicles over and over again before they found one that could be salvaged.

The truck was laying on the side and after an inspection, it was determined that the problems it had could be fixed.

Luckily, one of the people in the group had been a soldier with training in mechanics, it was like handing a pillow to everyone when they needed to sleep.

First, they worked together to flip over the truck before the mechanic got to work. An hour later, the truck was all set and was filled with the fuel they had taken from the gas station.

Two people then got into the truck while the other three were in the same vehicle they had come in.

When they got home, it was already midnight, but there were still people everywhere. Some were coming back from searching for supplies, while others were leaving.

There were still others afraid to go out because they were afraid of fighting zombies.

However, even the timid ones were bolstering themselves with some courage to leave the safety of the community so that they could find something to eat.

Many people were already malnourished due to lack of enough food and other types of food such as meat and vegetables.

Just as Fu Nie and his team were about to unload their supplies, the other two groups arrived as if they had planned beforehand.

Thus, everyone witnessed as three cars were unloaded with different types of supplies and Yang Leo, who had also come back with his team with a car filled to the brim called other members who had been instructed to stay within the barrier on the fifteenth floor to come down and help bring the supplies inside.

Climbing the stairs with all those loads was challenging for everyone but it was also a form of exercise.

Moreover, since there were many of them, it didn't take long to unload all three vehicles.

What was surprising was that Yang Leo and his group had brought back a whole vehicle filled with canned meat.

There were also packets of beef jerky in the mix although it wasn't as much as the cans of meat.

When the people standing idly around saw so much meat, their drool could have filled a soup bowl. This was meat that they hadn't seen in a long time.

They almost couldn't catch themselves and ran over to grab a few cans each.

Unfortunately, everyone still remembered what happened to the last person that blocked the members of this team.

After all, Chu Miao had not shown mercy to Mr. Fang's eldest son.

As they unloaded the vehicles and carried their different supplies upstairs, they shared their experiences on this hunt.

"The direction we went didn't have many zombies because it's in the suburbs and the wealthy people there had a small number of people in each family except servants.

Moreover, after the apocalypse, it seemed that some of them turned into zombies and now, I don't even think that place had any survivors.

Even if there had been people left, if they didn't leave when the floods began, they would have ended up drowning considering how high the water had been and that place is filled with villas and mansions." Fu Nie contributed with a sigh.

He was sad that many people had died in the flood. It was as if there was a force that was conspiring to eliminate humanity completely using different viruses and disasters.

"Did you raid a supermarket? The things you brought back are mostly groceries and snacks. So, it is obvious where you got them.

But in the kind of area you described, there shouldn't be any high-rise buildings. So, everything should have been in terrible condition and swept away by the flood.

How did you collect so many groceries in one place?" The leader of the third group asked while unloading purified water from his vehicle.

Looking at the variety of supplies brought back, everyone went in different directions but they all found very useful stuff even as scarcity had set in.

What made things more complicated was the fact that the military was also collecting supplies from the smaller entities they had ignored before.
