Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 335: Choice of Weapons

Fu Nie was one of the soldiers who didn't have a spirit root, hence, couldn't cultivate. However, he was loyal to the sect and was willing whatever it took to make it a success.

He knew that most of the supplies they had been using were provided by the Chu family and although he didn't know how they managed to get so many supplies and good stuff, he wanted to increase the stock even in the absence of the leaders.

At this moment, his car was driving to the suburbs where high class elites lived before the apocalypse.

It was an area where the wealthy bought villas and mansions to show off their wealth and elevate their status.

Of course, Fu Nie had no idea about this but according to the map given by Yang Leo who had been planning the missions and where to go to get better and more supplies, this place was quite expensive when the economy was booming.

Along the way, they encountered small groups of zombies that seemed to have escaped the net when the soldiers were doing a cleansing around the city.

Because Fu Nie and the other members of his team didn't want the zombie problem to escalate again quickly, they made sure to stop their car and kill any zombie they encountered.

It consumed some of their time but they figured that it was for the greater good since they would be ridding the world of dangerous creatures.

They collected the crystal cores from the zombies the decapitated before moving on.

The only problem with strategy is that they ended up traveling very slowly because they were trying to eliminate all the zombies they saw.

Another team member thought their actions of stopping every now and then to kill zombies was a waste of time because zombies could not be eliminated completely.

However, there are those like Fu Nie that believe that killing even one zombie was equivalent to saving lives.

That was because they believe that leaving evolved or mutated zombies around would only be giving them time to strengthen themselves and when they attack helpless humans, it would be too late to do something about it.

Thus, Fu Nie made it his mission to eliminate every zombie he comes across because it was his way of protecting the citizens.

At that moment, their team of five was engaged in battle with an evolved zombie that had the ice superpower.

It was throwing ice arrows at them and wearing them out as they fought with it.

What made him frustrated was that the zombie seemed to have thinking capacity because it made sure to keep a distance from all of them and launch long-range attacks by throwing the ice arrows at them at a distance of no less than five meters.

Fu Nie was a superpower user and there were two other members of the team in his group.

Unfortunately, they also had ordinary members in the group who did not have an ounce of superpower.

This was making the battle complicated because those with superpowers had to protect the ordinary members while also finding an opportunity to attack.

Fu Nie had a gun in his possession but he did not want to be overly reliant on external weapons and wanted to strengthen himself through actual combat.

Fu Nie had gone hunting for zombies many times with his Captain Qi Long and trained in using not just guns, but also cold weapons when it came to dealing with zombies.

He had been using a sword like most of his brothers but this time he had decided to practice with another weapon.

Today he carried a bow and arrow and had already shot a few zombies with an arrow and turned them completely dead.

He had practiced archery when he was in high school because he liked the sport but after joining the military, he stopped because he was now training with guns.

This time he decided to pick up his weapon of choice again and see if he could turn his love for the sport into his signature way of killing zombies.

As the few of them fought the zombie with ice abilities, the others mostly used swords while one of the superpower users created water balls and also water arrows to attack it.

Fu Nie moved slowly to the side without making an obvious and a deliberate move to attack the zombie.

Because like other normal zombies, even evolved zombies could not see and only use their sense of smell and hearing, Fu Nie managed to stand to the side and shot an arrow aiming at the side of its head.

The arrow was shot at a short distance, hence, there was almost no room for error and as expected, it went straight through the side of its head.

This was the first perfect shot since she started killing zombies with a bow and arrow and Fu Nie decided that he would try to improve his archery skills as soon as possible.

Thinking of this, he went over to retrieve his arrows and asked the teammate with a water ability to help clean the crystal core and the arrows as well.

Once everything was cleaned, the group got back into the car and continued to drive towards the suburbs.

Fu Nie looked at the shining crystal and for the hundredth time wondered how it had formed and what something so sparkly was doing inside the brain of something as dreadful as a zombie?

Of course, no one was going to answer that question because no one knew the answer.

Reaching the suburbs, the team realized that the number of zombies there was a light bigger than where they had left Abu they were scattered.

It looked as if this area didn't have many people before the apocalypse and they were right. Only the wealthy and their families lived here and there were not many.

Only a limited number of people were in every family and maybe a few servants.
