Chapter 306: Meeting Feng Tu Again
Chu Hao immediately produced a bottle of water from his space and drove his boat over before stopping next to his sister's boat.
He handed over the bottle to Chu Miao who then offered it to Feng Tu.
"Take a sip and pour some of it on your wounds. It is better than regular medicine in purifying and treating injuries." She said to her friend.
Feng Tu didn't ask any questions and took the bottle. She opened it and drank a large mouthful before pouring some of the water on the first wound on her arm.
Even before she could move to the next, she could feel a warmth spreading from her throat and stomach to the rest of the body.
Everywhere the liquid passed through was a point of healing spreading outwards. The pain on the wounds and that in the places that had been hit slowly faded.
"Wow, this is like those miracle elixirs mentioned in those crappy novels you loved to read in school." Feng Tu said in wonder as she watched the wounds on her body start to close.
"Are they really that creepy? I bet you've survived the apocalypse easier because of the 'crappy' apocalypse novels I forced you to read." Chu Miao mocked her friend when she heard her jab.
"Oh, well, can't a girl complain a little?" Feng Tu shot back.
"Hey, when did you become so talkative?" Chu Miao looked at her friend as if looking at a ghost.
Feng Tu paused what she was doing for a moment before replying, "In this current world, if you don't learn to stand up for yourself, only your loved ones will suffer."
Hearing that statement, Chu Miao became worried.
"Are uncle and auntie okay?" She asked urgently.
She hoped that nothing had happened to them. She had met Feng Tu's parents once before and she likes them a lot.
They were simple and kind-hearted.
"My parents are doing okay. Don't worry." Feng Tu replied with a smile.
She was touched that after her simple statement, her friend's first concern was her parent's well-being.
"That's good to know. By the way, after the flood water dries, are you going to the safe base?" Chu Miao wanted to know her friend's plans so that she could share her own.
"It is the safest thing to do. My parents won't have to worry about getting attacked or ambushed outside. What about your family? Which safe zone are you going to? We could plan to meet at the same base." Feng Tu missed being with her friend.
She was happy that they had met by chance and hoped that they could be in the same area in the future even if they are in different teams.
However, if they could join the same team, that would be even better.
"We are not going to leave our current residence. We are planning to start our own private safe base within our community.
We already have a team of almost a hundred and fifty people of which more than a hundred and twenty are former soldiers.
We have plans to expand the number if possible but not to an uncontrollable number.
Our goal is to ensure that even if everywhere else falls, at least a small human population survives for the future.
You and your family can join us, but only if you are willing.
I don't want you to feel pressured just because we are friends." Chu Miao explained to her friend.
She hoped that they could really work together in the future.
"Really? That's awesome. I will definitely join you." Feng Tu agreed readily with a laugh.
"Hey, you haven't even thought about it." Chu Miao laughed as well.
"What's there to think about? I know you will never hurt me. Besides, if I can get this medicine to treat my wounds every time I get hurt, I will follow you just for it." Feng Tu said so seriously that if Chu Miao didn't know her character, she would have thought she was only following her for benefits.
"Alright then. Once the water dries up and you are ready, come to the apartment in the city garden community.
You remember the apartment grandpa gave me for my birthday? That's where we live now. You can come find me directly." Chu Miao said happily.
"Okay okay, you can go where you were going. We have to go home too." Feng Tu said.
"Do you lack weapons?" Chu Miao asked after thinking about the situation she had found them in.
"By weapons you mean guns, right? We don't have the channels for those. When we meet people with guns, we can only yield, after all, we only have one life." Feng Tu actually felt that she was already lucky that she had awakened a superpower that allowed her to be strong enough to protect her parents who had remained ordinary people.
She was also grateful that even there her parents hadn't awakened a superpower, they hadn't turned into zombies either.
But she still hoped that she could have the means to increase her strength, and having heat weapons can do that.
"Give her a few guns and ammunition." Chu Miao said to her brother, who then took out eight guns and gave them to Feng Tu. He also added several boxes of ammunition.
The people in Feng Tu's boats were surprised except for Feng Tu of course.
She knew about Chu Miao's background, so she didn't think there was anything wrong.
"Thanks girl for the gift. This will go a long way in improving our safety. I will come look for you after the flood water dries up.
Is it okay if I bring my teammates and their families?" Feng Tu wanted to join her friend, but she didn't want to betray her team.
"You can bring them if they are okay with it. Just make sure their character isn't questionable. That's all that matters." Chu Miao stated the condition and Feng Tu found it simple and reasonable.
