Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 307: Feng Tu's Teammate

"Alright, I will. We have to go then." Feng Tu said goodbye, but before she could start rowing her boat, a cooler box appeared on her boat.

"That's something small for Uncle and Auntie. Let auntie open it when you get home. See you soon." Chu Miao said and Ye Xuan started their boat.

Feng Tu looked at the boats that were moving so fast and tears glistened in her eyes. Her friend had not changed at all. Even when people had become monsters that would turn and eat each other just to fill their stomach, Chu Miao still worried about her.

She was glad to have the blessing of having her as a friend in this life. Even though she came from a humble background, Chu Miao never cared about that.

That was also why she avoided other rich heiresses because all they thought about was befriending people of the same status.

They never cared about character or personal preferences, only benefits.

She had also visited Chu Miao's home before and was welcomed with joy and respect.

Her family didn't care about her background as long as she was Chu Miao's friend.

"What happened, Feng?" The other girl in the group asked when she saw her teammate close to tears.

The others also looked at her with puzzlement. They had thought she was happy after seeing her friend but they didn't expect her to start crying.

"I am just happy. I have been worried that something had happened to her. Now that I see she's fine, I am glad." Feng Tu replied to the girl.

"Is she your friend? She looks rich even in the apocalypse." The girl said again.

Feng Tu turned to look at her for a moment before replying.

"Yes, she's my best friend and she's from a wealthy family." Feng Tu didn't think there was anything she had to hide about Chu Miao, but she decided at that moment that when she goes to look for Chu Miao, she won't take her along.

Anyone could hear the sourness in that girl's voice.

She didn't want to bring someone with impure thoughts to her friend's place. What if she causes trouble when she sees someone with better resources? She didn't want such a person to follow her.

The others also felt that what the girl asked was inappropriate. Why did she sound as if Feng Tu was not qualified to be Chu Miao's friend?

"You are lucky to have such a friend who is willing to give things like guns without butting an eye." The girl said again, the jealousy in her tone almost impossible to conceal.

The others felt that the girl was going too far. If she was saying that out of admiration or happiness for her teammate, it would have been good, however, anyone could tell that wasn't the case.

"I am indeed lucky." Feng Tu wasn't stupid. She could tell that the girl had some ulterior motives and was probably fishing for information.

She had planned to give everyone of her teammates a gun, but now, she changed her mind. She wasn't going to give the girl a weapon that could possibly be turned and used against her.

She had learned the hard way not to trust people so easily.

Her own uncle had tried to force her into being a mistress for a forty-year-old man living in the same building as them simply because the man had promised to give them two boxes of noodles and preserved beef.

Her uncle was practically selling her. Her parents had always indulged her uncle's unruly behavior and even helped clean up his mess by pooling together some money they didn't even have.

All because he was her father's younger brother. When the apocalypse started, he suddenly showed up at their doorstep one day crying and saying he had nowhere to go.

Feng Tu's parents had taken Chu Miao's advise and moved to the city before the apocalypse.

They rented a three bedroom apartment in an old building and just had some simple renovation done. They only ensured that they installed an anti-theft door and windows.

Not only did her uncle not act like a guest, but he even started sharing the supplies they had stocked up with others.

Whenever he was reprimanded about his wasteful behavior, he would complain that their family looked down on him.

Her mother had to hide some of the supplies in her room so that they wouldn't lose everything.

That was the only reason they had managed to survive. When he found that the supplies had run out and no one was going out to look for more, he actually made a deal with that forty-year-old neighbor to sell Feng Tu to him as a mistress.

After all, the man was married.

It was when the neighbor came to claim Feng Tu that her parents realized what they had done by indulging her Uncle.

Now, he felt so entitled he could even sell his niece.

That was the first time Feng Tu had seen her father really angry. He had raised an axe at his own brother and had even wounded him.

It could be seen how angry he was from that. Her uncle could not believe that his elder brother would dare to cut him to pieces with an axe, but after suffering several wounds, he had to believe it.

The neighbor was so scared that he ran away while peeing his pants.

Her father had then kicked her uncle out and their family went back to being only the three of them.

However, she had learned from that experience. Even though she had awakened a wind-type superpower, she had not dared to go out and fight zombies.

But from that day, she realized that the only way to stay safe was to improve herself. Get stronger and also protect her parents.

She began to go out and hunt for zombies while collecting supplies. She also realized that she couldn't be sympathetic towards anyone because she didn't know when they would sell her for their own benefits.
