Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 305: Encountering Robberies

"This group is like loose sand with no vision or direction. Helping them would only bring trouble to us. Better leave them alone." Chu Miao didn't mince her words when she spoke. Everyone then looked at those people who some held their heads and cried and looked away.

Indeed, such people were not worth saving. They would only become a burden to them if they became entangled.

Having witnessed that some people chose to give up as soon as they were approached by robbers, the group didn't have much hope in people fighting back.

But as they continued to move forward, they encountered similar situations with only different outcomes.

Some survivors refused to go down without a fight and when surrounded by thugs, they fought as if their lives depended on it.

"Now that is a group you can help if necessary. Don't just go around meddling in everyone's business. Some people don't deserve it at all." Ye Xuan said while watching two girls and three men facing off a gang of ten people.

Everyone had to handle two thugs while trying to keep themselves balanced on rubber boats. They also had to restrain their movements and attacks to avoid falling into the water or damaging their boats.

All the people in that group had superpowers, but the group of thugs had a few with special abilities as well.

It wasn't an easy fight, especially since the boats were carrying supplies that the thugs were trying to take and some had already called into the water due to the scuffle.

When Chu Miao's group got closer, the two groups were already covered in injuries and blood.

However, the group of five still had no signs of backing down. One could see how determined they were to protect what was theirs.

"Now, that's a group you can help. Not just anyone deserves help, but don't ignore someone who could use it." Chu Miao said as she teleported to the center of the place the battle was happening.

She stood between the few boats and looked at the group of bandits who still wanted to attack.

"I would advise you against that." Chu Miao said to a superpowered thug who had formed a small ball of fire on his palm.

His fire was normal and wouldn't hurt Chu Miao even if the size was larger.

The thug looked at Chu Miao as if trying to gauge whether he should attack her or stop as she said.

He was still confused about how she appeared there and was a little creeped out. Nevertheless, she was speaking to him so she shouldn't be a ghost.

The other people from both sides had the same dilemma, but no one attacked again.

"Get out of here." Chu Miao said calmly to the thugs.

Although they didn't know what was happening, they had been mixing with people of the underworld for a while and they knew danger when they saw one.

And the woman standing on the SURFACE of the water!!?

It was a shock. Only then did they realize that the girl who had appeared out of nowhere was not on a boat but standing on the surface of the flood water.

This was a miracle to everyone who saw it. The thugs nearly knelt down and worshipped her. They didn't want to get on the bad side of someone who could float on water.

The other group was also dumbfounded, especially the girls. They were almost collecting their jaws on the ground, literally.

They had never seen such a powerful girl, especially when they saw the thugs row their boats as if the devil was on their heels and escaped.

Just as Chu Miao was about to turn around and greet the remaining group of five, she heard someone in their boat call her name.

"Miaomiao." It was a call filled with uncertainty and doubt

As if the caller didn't dare to believe what he saw was real.

Chu Miao turned around and found that one of the girls covered in blood after such a fierce fight was her only friend in college, Feng Tu.

"Feng Tu, how come you are here?" Chu Miao asked in surprise.

She had not expected to see her friend there. She had thought that she was in another city.

"My Parents and I live on the west side of the city." Feng Tu replied.

"I thought you lived in another city. When did you move to the capital?" Chu Miao asked again curiously.

She knew the situation surrounding her friend's family, so she didn't expect them to move to the city.

"After our conversation, we moved to the capital city and followed some instructions." Feng Tu said again while looking at Chu Miao as if sharing a secret.

Chu Miao understood what she meant. Her family had not treated her warning like a joke and had instead taken it seriously and moved to the city then stocked up on food and water.

It was because of this that their lives had been easier in the apocalypse.

"So, today you came out to look for more supplies?" Chu Miao asked her friend with a smile.

"Yeah, these are friends I made when the apocalypse started. We formed a team when the rain became heavy and have been working together whenever we needed to go out and scavenge" Feng Tu felt proud that she had finally made friends who don't look at her background.

Apart from Chu Miao who never cared about where she came from or what her background was, everyone else avoided being friends with her just because of her modest background.

"That's good to know. At a time like these, we all need friends we can count on. I didn't expect to see you here but I am glad you are doing okay." Chu Miao said to her friend with a warm smile and said under her breath, "Give me a bottle of diluted spiritual spring water with some medicinal smell." This sentence was directed at her elder brother, Chu Hao.
