Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 281: Providing Help

"He was the best student in my class. It looks like he got locked in here when the zombie virus spread." Yang Leo said as he moved closer to the person on the chair.

"Be careful. We still don't know if he is still human." Lei Ying became serious when it came to important matters.

The person sitting on the chair had not moved since they entered and didn't look like he had the strength to move, but they could never be too careful. What if it was a zombie disguising as a malnourished human to lead them into lowering their guard before it attacked?

With the way the man on the chair looked, you couldn't even tell his original appearance, he even wondered how Yang Leo had managed to identify him. However, they could not leave him behind if he was really a human dying of starvation.

"You have telekinetic superpowers, right?" Gu Fan turned to look at Yang Leo who had tears in his eyes looking at his best student.

"Yes, I do. What do you need me to do?" Yang Leo replied.

"How well can you control it?" Gu Fan followed with another question.

"It is quite precise if what I am controlling is a small object." Yang Leo replied again as he started to understand what Gu Fan may be aiming at.

"Where is that medicine the boss gave us?" Gu Fan asked Li Kun who was the only one who could expose his space for the time being.

"I do have it." Li Kun said while producing a bottle of water from his space. It was the spiritual spring water that Ye Xuan had diluted a healing pill into.

"I think a sip is too potent for his current state. His body might not be able to take it. Dilute a small cup of plain water with a very small amount of the medicine. It might help with the recovery of his body, and give him enough strength to identify his surroundings." Gu Fan continued to give instructions to Li Kun.

Li Kun did as he was told and gave the small cup to Yang Leo.

Seeing what they were doing, Pei Ming felt exhausted mentally. How was someone who didn't even seem to have realized that there were other people in the room be able to open his mouth and drink the water from a cup? At this time, he either needed an IV drip or someone could use a syringe to force the water into his mouth.

Sure enough, just as he had expected, even though Yang Leo controlled the cup well to the man's lips, he couldn't drink it.

It looked like he lacked the strength to even part his lips and drink.

"Do you have a syringe somewhere in your space?" Pei Ming finally couldn't take it and asked Li Kun, who had a space.

"I think there are syringes we found in the hospital the last time. Why?" Li Kun asked when he heard Pei Ming's question.

"Draw the water with a syringe and give it to him that way, he might be able to take in a little." Pei Ming suggested.

"That's right. Why didn't I think of that earlier. We wouldn't have wasted so much precious time. The man needs immediate care, any time wasted could cause eternal regret." Lei Ying said while taking a syringe that had appeared in Li Kun's hand.

Yang Leo also used his superpower to bring the cup back to Lei Ying so that he could fill the syringe with the medicated water.

When the medicine was in the syringe, Yang Leo used his telekinesis power again to transfer it to the man on the chair and tried to pry his mouth a little. When the end of the needle made it into the mouth, he pumped the water into the man's mouth.

Although some of the liquid still spilled, most of it entered his body. Unfortunately, the few soldiers who had become cultivators still didn't know how to use divine sense to examine the inside of a human body. Otherwise, they would not be in such a dilemma. They could just examine him to find out whether he was a human or a zombie without wasting too much time or effort.

The few people waited in the room while the medicine worked on the stranger they had just helped. After ten minutes, they started to notice that the color of his skin was no longer ashen like a corpse.

Moreover, they could now detect the sound of breathing from the man. After waiting for another ten minutes, the man on the chair opened his eyes. He still found it taxing to move or even talk, but he could at least open his eyes and use them to express himself.

At that moment, even someone without compassion could read what was in his eyes. He was filled with gratitude for having saved his life. He had not expected that someone would show up here let alone help him.

In fact, from the moment he ran out of fod and water, he was already prepared to meet his maker. It was just that he didn't believe in taking his own life. He felt that killing himself was an act of cowardice, and he was no coward.

Thus, he had been suffering from a lack of food and water for a long time. First, his food, which he had tried every possible way to stretch for as long as he could by eating small portions or skipping some meals, had run out more than a week ago.

What was more, it was not any nutritious food at all. It had been dry noodles and snacks which had kept him alive until now.

His water was also not much and since he had no food, he could only depend on the little water he had. He would take a few sips every day, but his body became more malnourished and dehydrated as days passed on.
