An Oni in God's Valley

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Against the God's Knights

As the God's Knights came out of the abyss, the first thing that they saw was the frozen Iceland that they were in. The very first reaction that they had was one of pure disgust. They didn't want to come down to the underworld except for every three years, when they would do their Native Hunts, and now, they were on a mission to eliminate a pirate group that was supposed to be eliminated by the Marines.

"Let's get this over with. I don't like breathing the same air as those scums," a member of the God's Knights said, as he was wearing the bubble that was wrapping around their heads.

"Don't underestimate any opponents. Even if they are scums, a number of them could be considered strong," a female holding a sniper said, as she was familiar with the incident at God Valley and had firsthand experience with the terror that the Rocks Pirates brought to them.

As they were all talking, Koa then arrived at where they teleported, as he could easily detect where they were. Kuzan and Greenbull also went toward where they teleported, and when they arrived, they immediately saw the seven figures who were wearing weird outfits, but they all carried themselves like they were superior to them, which ticked off Kuzan and Greenbull, while Koa's attention was purely on Garling—the strange colored outfit that he already recognized, and the pale blond hair that had a strange haircut. This made Koa laugh while looking at Garling, which surprised the God's Knights.

"What's funny to you, scum?" Garling then asked, as he could feel the stare that Koa was giving him, which made Koa laugh even harder.

"I'm sorry, it's just your hair—like, do you want to become a fishhook?" Koa then said, as he mocked Garling's haircut in front of him. This made the other God's Knights extremely surprised, as their positions as God's Knights are even coveted in Marijoa, and Saint Garling is one of the most popular Celestial Dragons as well as one of the strongest. No one would dare to disrespect him. But despite their shock, Koa continued to laugh as he was pointing toward Garling's hair.

"How many fish can you catch when you put your head underwater? HAHAHAHHAHAHA, come on, you look like a character that a child would draw. Even your outfit makes you look like a clown. Are you really a knight? Aren't they supposed to wear something that would be seen as dignified, not like a jester?" Koa then added to his insults, which further fueled Garling's anger. He gripped his sword tightly as he then directly attacked Koa, which Koa blocked easily, still with a smile on his face.

"I'll make you my personal slave, scum. I hope you can still laugh after I do the things I would put you through," Garling then personally warned Koa, which made Koa smile toward Garling.

"I hope your strength is not as laughable as you, 'cause I would kill you and parade you like a dog for the public to see," Koa said, as he took out another axe and swung toward Garling. Garling dodged but was kicked in the nuts by Koa, which momentarily made Garling pause. Koa slashed his head, but he knew that Garling was not dead, so he then immediately followed with a Conqueror's Haki infusion and directly slashed Garling's dominant arm. When Garling regenerated his head, his arm was still missing, causing his eyes to widen as he looked at Koa with extreme shock. The other God's Knights also started getting ready, as they couldn't believe what Koa just did.

"What? Didn't think I knew what your weakness is, Fishhook head?" Koa said to Garling. But Kuzan and Greenbull were also shocked—not because of Koa's moves, but the way Garling regenerated his head.

"You can stop their regeneration with Conqueror's Haki, or just make it so that they can't regenerate properly," Koa said, informing Kuzan and Greenbull about their healing ability. Jhin, Enel, Urf, and Joichiro were then raiding the bases, as they would collect the jewelry that was available in every room. They would also fight off against the remaining agents that Kuzan did not manage to freeze.

Then, four of the remaining God's Knights started using their Devil Fruit abilities, as some of them were extremely strong. But Koa then transformed into his hybrid form—something that made his hair become red and his figure become huge too. Koa then matched against the four, with Garling joining in too, while Greenbull and Kuzan were fighting against two.

Five against one. I guess it would be a great battle for me—it would push myself even further,' Koa thought, as he blocked one of the swings that the God's Knights sent at him. He was now being attacked by four of the God's Knights—one of them, a sniper, was using distance to attack, while another wielded a large sword and stayed close to keep Koa occupied. Koa attacked, infusing his axe with the earthquake part of his Devil Fruit, along with Conqueror's Haki to limit their regeneration.

He targeted the one with the giant sword, then fully committed to an attack, slamming his weapon into the enemy's body. The force of the blow cut it in half. Koa then dodged quickly, as Garling attacked him from the blindside, having transformed into a wolf-like hybrid in his awakened form. Garling's movements were faster than before. Koa blocked one of his strikes, then threw his axe at another member who was preparing to attack. With his other axe, he sent a flying slash toward the enemy—the one he had targeted blocked the thrown axe, which bounced off, but the flying slash cut him in half. This reduced his opponents to three; the other two were not dead, but hadn't recovered enough to do anything.

Koa then shifted into full offensive mode. Every slash he sent out was covered with magma and earthquake powers, along with Conqueror's Haki infusion. Through the fight, he slowly learned how to infuse his Conqueror's Haki into attacks that could be launched from a distance. Garling then swung his sword at him, but thanks to his Advanced Observation Haki, Koa kept dodging effortlessly.

"I was expecting more from a man who chose to wear a fishhook as a hairstyle, but I guess you're really not that strong," Koa said, as he unleashed his full power, killing one of the original five that had been attacking him. They were now adapting to his strength, but so was he.

The one with the giant sword—looking eerily similar to Jugram's design—charged at him, slashing with great force. But Koa used a technique that Gaban had taught him—one designed to permanently kill one of the immortal beings. He slashed at the opponent's head and waist in a single motion, cleanly severing both. This shocked the remaining three and even Garling, causing them to stop in their tracks.

Garling looked at the now-dead companion of his with an emotionless stare, but when he looked at Koa, he was staring with pure rage—it was similar to someone's look when you've just insulted them.

Garling then transformed into his hybrid form, but it was now a form with his four legs as a wolf, while his upper body remained humanoid. His feet were then covered in ice as he ran toward Koa. In a clash, both of them unleashed two powerful Conqueror's infused attacks that were similar to two Emperors clashing. But the problem was that Koa's physical strength was stronger—despite Garling being superior in Haki, it was getting overshadowed by the insane physical stats of Koa that were still rising. His Haki was also beginning to grow stronger, as he used Garling as a sharpening tool to enhance his own Haki.

And not once in their fight is Koa at any kind of disadvantage. This is the thing that was making Garling extremely angry. He was fully confident in his strength—he was the champion of the God Valley, and he was able to wound one of the strongest persons in that valley—but now, he was being matched by Koa, someone who hadn't even entered his peak yet. And the worst part is that there were five of them attacking Koa, and now, he stripped their numbers by one.

---------------

Kuzan and Greenbull's match against their opponents was not as easy as Koa's against the others, as two of their opponents are immortal beings that would not mind getting hurt, but the two of them could die at any time.

"Ice Ball," Kuzan attacked, as he summoned multiple balls of ice energy, and he started targeting the God Knight that he was matching. He hit it in its arms, which it just cut off and started attacking towards Kuzan with extreme speed. Kuzan's Observation Haki warned him of the attack, to which Kuzan burst himself into ice particles, which affected the God's Knight. Then he reformed himself into the back of the God's Knight—the God's Knight's body was slowly getting frozen solid.

Kuzan then froze the entire body of the God Knight. Then he turned the entire place of their fight into tundra, to make sure that the Ice Block would not be destroyed as easily. The other God's Knight was also hit in the legs, to which Greenbull immediately took advantage of and wrapped the God's Knight in vines covered in Armament Haki. He then started absorbing the moisture out of the God Knight, which was being fought off by its healing capability.

---------------------------

Back to Koa, he then started taking the offensive, as he became like a relentless dog that kept attacking the God's Knights without a care. He sent his axe towards one, and the ground cracked due to his immense strength. Then Koa used his other axe to block an attack that another member sent towards him. Then Koa summoned a pillar of magma to counterattack towards that member—it exploded like a volcano, to which Garling then froze another magma pillar that was sneaking up on him.

Then Garling thought of something, as he sent a flying slash towards where Kuzan and Greenbull were fighting. He caught Greenbull off guard, which directly led to him becoming injured and freeing the God's Knights that he was holding. This, in turn, freed the other God Knight as he fired a massive wavelength that crushed most of the ice that they were in.

Koa then became distracted for a little while, as he turned his attention towards Kuzan and Greenbull for a little bit, which Garling then used to deliver an attack towards Koa's lungs, which punctured his heart.

"Hahahahaha, what a stupid scum you are, falling for that trick," Garling said, as he was sure that he already won since Koa was not supposed to have a healing ability similar to theirs, which made this kind of injury lethal for him.

But then Garling's Observation Haki started flaring, as if signaling him that he would die if he did not leave immediately. But it was then suddenly cut off, as Koa's Conqueror's Haki flared that it cancelled his Observation Haki—it was a move called Observation Killing. To which then Garling did not see that his head was suddenly cut off by Koa. He was still conscious, but he could not regenerate, as Koa destroyed his body too, to which he was not able to fight.

Koa then took out the sword of Garling, as his injuries started healing up, and he began his assault on the God's Knights. But now, using everything that he got—Observation Killing, Conqueror's Infusement, Earthquake, Magma, and Lightning Strikes—all of which were used to attack the remaining God's Knight. Garling saw how they got killed by Koa one by one, as if he were just killing some nameless mobster. With one of them, the sniper from Manmayer—the one that Garling had a conversation with and grew up with—was killed, and her eyes looked at Garling with a terrified look, with a despair that would haunt Garling to the end of his days.

When Koa finished his massacre, he turned towards Garling, who was not yet able to regenerate even a little of his full body.

"You have made a very strong enemy here, Garling," Koa said, as he then took Garling's alive head and tied it to a rope. Then he summoned an arrow made from magma, which pretty much confirmed Koa's crime of attacking and killing the Celestial Dragons. He then shot it towards the two remaining God's Knight, as he now learned how to put his Conqueror's Infusement like it was a telepathic thing.

"Thanks for the sword," Koa said, as he tied the rope that held Garling's head to a metal pole. He then used another Den-Den Mushi to capture the image of Garling's defeat, which he planned to release to the public. Just then, another Den-Den Mushi rang. Koa picked it up, and the receiver formed into a figure reminiscent of Warcury's silhouette.

"You picked the wrong day to piss me off, Elder. Expect a retaliation from me from now on," Koa said, not giving the Elder any chance to reply, and immediately hung up.

As he walked toward Kuzan and Greenbull to heal their wounds, they all regrouped with Joichiro, Enel, Jhin, and Urf. Joichiro was holding a baby in his arms—not even a year old—as the group made their way back to the ship. Once aboard, they set sail, and Koa summoned the biggest lightning strike he could manage, infused with both Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki. The moment it hit the ground, it obliterated the entire island, with Garling at the center, forced to witness the full destructive power of Koa.
