an illusion of mind

arron walked alongside amanda, making his way through the giant hall, after the principal spoke about the classes and how the rankings worked, he disappeared, and now arron was tasting all kinds of exotic foods, his commoner origins showing in his behaviour, the nobles that were eyeing him before gave him disgusted looks.

however amanda only chuckled at his behaviour.

"s-sorry... i never tasted food like this before..." arron looked down embarrassed by his show of gluttony.

"it's no problem, haha!" amanda laughed it off, she truly didn't care if she also garnered bad looks from noble children for accompanying arron, all she cared about was that arron is a good person and that's all that matters.

arron looked at amanda his face brightening, he didn't expect the princess of the empire to be this nice, 'i guess the sterotype of villainess princesses isn't true...' he thought to himself.

suddenly out of nowhere, a loud sound of a chair breaking could be heard, both Arron and Amanda turned their heads to look at the source of the sound along with many other students, standing there a blonde girl with blood red eyes stood with a chair broken at her feet, and on the other end a boy also a student here with black hair and dark green eyes stood looking at her fiercely.

"who the hell are you to talk to me so freely?" the boy spat staring coldly at the blonde girl.

the girl responded calmly, "my name is regina pectos, it's nice to meet you." regina proffered the boy a hand smiling calmly, however the boy slapped her hand coldly staring at her.

"i don't speak with nobodies." he said mockingly, regina's face darkened, the scene garnered many stares.

"who is he?" Arron asked turning to Amanda.

"oh, him? his name is adam illusio, he's the disowned son of the illusio family, i personally don't know why he's causing trouble on the first day, because he no longer has the backing of his family, they disowned him long ago for causing too much trouble and bringing dishonour to them." Amanda waved her hand in the air nonchalantly while munching on a cookie.

"and her?" Arron turned to the blonde girl with shoulder length curly hair.

"dunno." Amanda replied, Arron looked at her blankly, "so she's a commoner?" Arron asked.

"also dunno." Amanda said finishing her cookie.

"well if you don't know her then she's not a noble... then she would be a commoner?" Arron turned to look at the blood red eyed girl, her features didn't resemble those of a commoner, but that could just be because she's pretty, there are some good looking commoners.

"she could be a merchant's daughter." Amanda replied while munching on some candy.

"a merchant's daughter?"

"yeah, some merchants spend a lot of money to get their offsprings to attend prism academy." she said calmly.

suddenly a loud yelp and thud could be heard and heads turned to look at the source, and to everyone's surprise, Adam was on the floor groaning while Regina stood over him, grinning madly.

an instructor ran over to the scene and started reprimanding both Regina and Adam who was still groaning in pain, Regina didn't seem to care about what the instructor had to say and just kept looking at her nails.

"on the first day too?" Arron said looking at both.

"who cares Arron, this food is really good." Amanda said motioning for him to try the food she was eating.

"that does look delicious." Arron said before moving to take a bite of the food savouring the taste.

Regina looked blankly at the instructor reprimanding her, he had something to say about not throwing people over her shoulder or some boring matter like that, how boring is that? and besides he's the one who started!

the instructor then turned to reprimand Adam who was now up on his feet still groaning and rubbing his back.

"and you, it wasn't enough to cause trouble to your family so you came here to cause us trouble?!" the professor yelled at him.

Adam only gritted his teeth he knew he wasn't able to treat the professor like he did to Regina, however his face was angered, really angered, he glared at Regina who was looking up at the ceiling, he then clicked his tongue and walked away even as the professor kept talking.

he was humiliated, Regina had humiliated him, and he wouldn't let that slide, 'just you wait you blonde bitch!', he cursed inwardly.

Regina sighed, she knew Adam would annoy her again, she took a seat and grabbed a glass of juice, she really hoped it was whine in that glass instead of juice, but the academy wouldn't allow seventeen year olds to drink.

the situation dissolved and neither Regina nor Adam were punished, they were let off the hook this time because it was the first day, and there will be no second chances next time they got into trouble.

Regina let out a long sigh, before she noticed a figure standing over her, a girl with shoulder length smooth brown hair and bright green eyes.

"what do you want?" regina asked.

"that was an impressive over shoulder throw." the girl spoke, Regina looked at her before smirking.

"yeah, i know." she said looking at her arrogantly.

the girl clicked her tongue before looking at Regina, "Arrogant much? my name is suzan, Suzan Terras, you can call me suzie." she proffered a hand to Regina despite regina's rude and arrogant words, Regina looked at her hand but she didn't take it.

Regina raised an eyebrow at that name, "so you're Sigurd Terra's daughter?" she said smiling in amusement.

"you know my father?" suzie cocked her head back in amusement.

"who wouldn't know Sigurd the berserker..." Regina trailed off standing up be on suzie's level.

"... also known as the strongest warrior alive." she said looking at her straight in the eye.

"or so some people say, i personally don't believe it." Regina waved her hand in the air.

"anyways you're an intresting person, i believe you are in the royal class no? considering you are his daughter, no?" Regina said looking at her while smiling widely.

"...yes i am, but that's not because i'm his daughter." suzie glared at Regina.

"good then, looks like we're classmates." Regina's smile softened as she proffered a hand.

"my name is regina pectos, nice to meet you."

suzie hesitated but she eventually took regina's hand, "you're in the royal class too?"

"yeah, and i hope we have a good year of learning together, as good friendly classmates." regina's grip tightened.

suzie narrowed her eyes at Regina before letting go of her hand, "i hope so too..." she said her eyes lingering on Regina before she turned and walked away.

"hoo~ intresting... how very intresting looks like this year wouldn't be too boring~" Regina said chuckling to herself, her eyes lingered on suzie's back before her eyes turned to look at adam, her eyes met his furious glare before adam clicked his tongue and looked away, and then flicking over to amanda and Arron.

her smile widened, "it wouldn't be boring indeed~"
