After Dressing Up As a Little Fulang

Chapter 34 - Wen Xuan (2)

Just as Zang Ya quickly finished two bowls of rice with a fast but elegant speed, a piece of clothing was exposed at the door.

The owner of the clothing seemed extremely frightened. He glanced at Zang Ya inside the door, only to be caught by the eyes of Qing Yue, who was standing next to Zang Ya.

The woman was startled and reflexively shrank behind the door.

“Come out! Sneaking around, what do you look like? Do you still understand the rules?!” Qing Yue shouted toward the door with a volume that was neither loud nor quiet, just enough for the person at the door to hear.

The woman realized she had been discovered and could no longer hide, so she reluctantly stood in front of them.

Zang Ya took the wet wipe handed over by the maid next to him, wiped the corners of his mouth, and looked calmly at Wen Xuan standing in front of him, her eyes filled with panic. He then said to her, “Kneel down.”

Upon hearing this, Wen Xuan’s face showed a mix of embarrassment and unwillingness, but she still knelt down.

After kneeling, Wen Xuan couldn’t think of what she had done wrong. She just looked at Zang Ya with tearful eyes, her passionate gaze misty and particularly pitiful.

“Young master, what did I do wrong?”

Zang Ya stood up, walked over to the maid, and said condescendingly to her, “When I came back today, were you in Grandma’s yard?”

Wen Xuan subconsciously retorted, “I wasn’t. I was in this yard at the time, embroidering a purse for the young master.”

When Wen Xuan said this, her tone was somewhat confident. But after she said it and saw Zang Ya’s piercing eyes that seemed to know everything, she faltered, and even her voice grew weaker.

But Zang Ya bent down, tapped her forehead with his uninjured hand, then looked directly into her eyes and said bluntly, “I don’t like people lying in front of me, especially about such obvious things. It makes me feel like they’re being foolish, and I really don’t like foolish people showing their foolishness in front of me—it’s annoying.”

Listening to Zang Ya’s tone, Wen Xuan had a gut feeling that nothing good would happen. She immediately changed her tone and responded, “Young master, young master, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have lied to you. Today, I did go to the old lady’s place, but the old lady asked me to come, so I had to obey!”

Zang Ya laughed. He rarely laughed, and even when he did, it rarely conveyed any emotion.

But now, Wen Xuan could clearly sense that Zang Ya’s smile contained contempt, disregard, and a hint of scorn.

“So, my grandma asked you to go over. What did you say to her?”

As soon as Zang Ya’s question was posed, Wen Xuan’s heart sank, and she stared at him with panic in her eyes. She vividly remembered what she had said. She knew that the old lady didn’t like shuangers the most and despised those who pursued fame, wealth, and power.

Wen Xuan believed that An Yun, who had caught the attention of the young master of the Zang family, was the old lady’s most hated type of person. Since he had received so many benefits and intended to resell things from the young master, she saw him as a money-grubber.

With these thoughts in mind, Wen Xuan felt that as long as the old lady knew of his existence, she would surely take action against him.

So, when the old lady came back and summoned her to ask about her and Zang Ya’s current situation, she told her that Zang Ya was not interested in her and took the opportunity to bring up the little shuanger.

Just as Wen Xuan had anticipated, the old lady was furious and immediately wanted to bring the shuanger over and deal with him. Unfortunately, the young master returned too early, preventing her from completely dealing with that “annoying” person.

Wen Xuan was so immersed in her thoughts that she ignored Zang Ya standing in front of her, until another voice came from above her head, “What, you don’t want to talk?”

Wen Xuan was startled, raised her eyes to look at the man in front of her, then shook her head violently, and kept saying: “No, no, I just think about how to say it. I didn’t do anything when I went there, I just went to accompany the old lady to pass the time.”

When Zang Ya heard the sound, he smiled again, with a hint of sarcasm in his smile, and his tone gradually became colder, “I think you really didn’t listen to what I just said. In that case, you don’t need to say anything anymore.”

When Wen Xuan heard this, she was shocked. When she looked up to Zang Ya to ask for mercy, she saw Zang Ya turning around and walking toward the back room, and at the same time ordered: “Since you don’t want to tell the truth, there is no need to tell it in the future. Make her mute and punish her with a multiple of An Yun’s execution today.”

“Yes!” Qing Yue accepted the order.

“No! Young master, I belong to the old lady, you can’t!” Before Wen Xuan could finish her words, the maid standing next to her blocked her mouth at Qing Yue’s signal.

Qing Yue took Wen Xuan down for punishment, and at the same time told the maids and servants who were still on duty, “Young master is going to sleep, please be quiet!”

“Yes!” A guard said in a small voice.

A gust of wind blew, leaving only the rustling between the leaves.

Zang Ya laid on the bed and soon fell into a dream. He was still a little tired from the days he had been out.
