Chapter 34 - Wen Xuan (1)
Zang Ya looked at An Yun calmly, with no emotion in his eyes. He just looked at his pale face and found it a little unsightly for some reason.
Zang Ya reached out and pinched his face, and then a slight blush suddenly appeared on An Yun’s cheeks.
Although Xiao Cui had withdrawn, she still stood by and watched. Unlike the nearby maids who lowered their heads and did not dare to look, her eyes remained fixed on An Yun.
Seeing Zang Ya pinching An Yun at this moment, her eyes suddenly widened, and she glanced at Zang Ya, her gaze filled with accusation.
Zang Ya, however, was finally satisfied when he looked at the shuanger whose face finally had some colour and seemed to have regained a bit of his complexion.
Zang Ya squeezed it twice more, and when he finally felt it was enough, he withdrew his hand, turned to look at Qing Yue, who was waiting behind him, and asked, “What did the doctor say? When will he be fine?”
Qing Yue lowered her head slightly, not daring to look at An Yun at all, and said softly, “The doctor said the fulang’s foundation is too weak. If he can wake up within this week, and is well cared for, it will take a month to six months to recover. But if he doesn’t wake up, his life might be saved, but a lingering illness might take root in his body.”
Zang Ya blinked his thick eyelashes, took one last look at the person who had just been pinched by him and had turned pale again, and said softly, “I understand. Have everyone fully cooperate with the doctor’s treatment.”
“Yes!” Qing Yue responded.
Zang Ya raised his feet and walked outside. Before leaving, he glanced in Xiao Cui’s direction, his eyes obscure and full of meaning.
Xiao Cui was frightened by his gaze and quickly lowered her head, not daring to show any emotion anymore.
Zang Ya stepped out and walked away. Qing Yue quickly arranged for the maids around her to take care of An Yun and followed Zang Ya out. Her master was Zang Ya; even though An Yun was valued by him, she could not stay far away from her master too much.
After Zang Ya stepped out of An Yun’s courtyard, he immediately ordered Qing Yue behind him, “Send someone to guard this courtyard and don’t let my grandma’s people sneak in. Also, have Dr. Jiang come to my room.”
Dr. Jiang was a doctor who specialized in treating bruises and injuries.
Qing Yue’s eyes widened a bit, and then she looked at Zang Ya in front of her. Startled, she answered louder, “Yes!”
Immediately afterward, Qing Yue hurriedly arranged for the maids around her to invite people, boil water, and find clothes.
After all these tasks were arranged, Qing Yue followed Zang Ya with worried eyes.
.
Two quarters of an hour later, Zang Ya had cleaned up the dirt on his body and asked Dr. Jiang to examine him.
Dr. Jiang looked at Zang Ya’s body, still that of a young man, and stared at the long knife marks on his arms. He frowned and said in a somewhat disapproving tone, “You’ve gone through a tough time this time, haven’t you?”
In addition to being the doctor in this mansion, Dr. Jiang was also Zang Ya’s first teacher, and Zang Ya still gave him some respect.
Therefore, after hearing Dr. Jiang’s remark, Zang Ya not only did not get angry but nodded extremely seriously, “Yes, they were not easy to deal with. And they were also a little clever.”
Listening to his serious answer, Dr. Jiang found it a bit unexpected, “You’re quite straightforward.”
Dr. Jiang did not ask further questions, but after treating Zang Ya’s wound, he looked at him and warned, “You are still young, so you should pay more attention to taking care of your body. Fortunately, this time it was just a skin injury and no bones were injured. Be more careful next time. And remember it well!”
Zang Ya nodded, indicating that he had listened to what Dr. Jiang said.
Seeing this, Dr. Jiang prescribed medicine, agreed to come back tomorrow to change Zang Ya’s bandages, and then left.
Zang Ya frowned immediately when he heard that the medicine Dr. Jiang gave him contained Coptis chinensis. Staring at Dr. Jiang’s back, he even suspected that the old man had done this on purpose.
However, Zang Ya did not follow him to ask. He lowered his head, looked at his arm, and then ordered Qing Yue next to him, “I’m going to take a nap. Clean up a room in the Qinxiang Garden, and once I wake up, I’ll move over.”
Zang Ya thought that if he didn’t keep an eye on the yard next door, his grandmother might not give up so easily.
Qing Yue was shocked when she heard Zang Ya’s instructions, “Yes!”
Qing Yue guessed what Zang Ya was thinking, but in her opinion, the little shuanger’s yard was much simpler than where Zang Ya lived. Even if the young master wanted to take care of the shuanger, the shuanger should be the one who come over. But the young master was the one who went there.
These thoughts circulated in her mind for only a moment. Qing Yue gently pursed her lips, looked at Zang Ya in front of her, and suggested, “Young master, I have sent people to prepare meals. Why don’t you have a meal first and then go to bed?”
Hearing this, Zang Ya nodded.
Only then did a smile appear on Qing Yue’s lips. She quickly asked the maid to bring the prepared meals and served Zang Ya.
