Chapter 11: The Labyrinth
The tunnels with ancient energy, aether-infused glyphs flickering along Celeste's breath was steady as she step forward, each step going towards the eyes that were looking back at her
The remnants of her battle with the Enclave were far behind her, but their pursuit was far from over. If she stayed in the city, She Would be found sooner or later .
She needed answers.
Celeste tensed. The Eyes where still looking at her
She pressed in front of the eyes and reached out with her Aether. Instead force, she wove it carefully, sending threads of energy forward like a spider's web. The air hummed as the energy made it ways towards the eyes
She exhaled sharply and stepped forward. If they were an enemy, she would kill them.
As she got closer to the eyes she got sucked into a chamber—three figures clad in tattered cloaks, their faces obscured by masks. One of them, a woman with a scar down her arm, raised a hand.
"You shouldn't be here," the woman said, her voice low and edged with warning.
A tense silence filled the chamber before the woman's posture shifted. "Are you the Unbound One, aren't you?"
Celeste hesitated. Then, finally, she nodded.
The woman exchanged glances with her companions before turning back to Celeste. "Then we have a lot to talk about. you need to hear the truth about the Labyrinth of Nyx."
Celeste's heart pounded. She had spent her life searching for answers, everything will change.
