Chapter 96: Buy a Weapon
Oliver followed his master out of the mansion and had to move his motorcycle into his Observation Ring since they would be using a car.
"You're driving," Evylin said, tossing him the keys to her sports car.
Oliver gladly caught them and got into the driver's seat.
Evylin sat in the passenger seat. She had brought along a black shirt, but in the end, she didn't put it on, choosing to remain in her tank top.
Vroom!
The car sped quickly, heading for the main road before making its way to the Path of Power Shop.
Oliver had been there before, so naturally, he knew the way to the shop by heart.
"By the way, Master, can the Otherworldly Black Rose be exchanged for any kind of treasure?" Oliver asked as he drove.
He had already learned the name of the rose he'd taken from the Eagle General when he regained his Observation Ring.
The rose was a rare cultivation treasure of extremely high value. It was said to be useful only for cultivators in the Spiritual Master Realm, but it could still raise their cultivation by up to three stages.
It was hard to find a better treasure than that, and its price was practically impossible to determine.
Oliver, however, was more interested in exchanging it for something else since he no longer needed it.
What he wanted most were the ingredients to make the Spiritual Blood Potion. He already had the Sunflower King's Seed, but he didn't yet have the other materials, such as the Black Banana Root and the Giant Dragon Fruit.
He would need a lot of both, since the potion had a high failure rate when brewing.
The Sunflower King's Seed, however, could be used repeatedly, as it wouldn't be destroyed easily.
And he already knew that the Black Banana Root and Giant Dragon Fruit were rare items—not easy to find, let alone in large quantities.
The potion for advancing to the Sky Master Realm was absolutely critical to him, since moving from the Third Stage of the Earth Master Realm to the Sky Master Realm was extremely difficult.
If it was just advancing to the Second or Third Stage of the Earth Master Realm, Oliver was confident he could do it without the potion, thinking the time needed to gather the materials might actually be longer than the time he'd need to advance.
"You're telling me you actually have the Otherworldly Black Rose?" Evylin asked in surprise.
Naturally, she was startled to hear that from her disciple.
In response, Oliver took the rose out.
He naturally trusted his master.
The moment he brought it out, Evylin snatched the rose and brought it to her nose.
"It's genuine. Too bad that with my realm, it's useless to me," she said.
"What do you want for it?" she asked afterward.
"I want ten Black Banana Roots and ten Giant Dragon Fruits," Oliver replied.
Although the Spiritual Blood Potion also required the blood of a level-35 monster, he didn't plan on buying that now. He would probably hunt for it himself later.
"What else?" Evylin asked.
"I haven't decided. I can only choose after seeing what treasures they offer, and I'll ask for your opinion on whether it's worth the trade," Oliver replied.
After hearing that, Evylin seemed to think for a moment before saying, "I think there's something equivalent to this rose, and the Path of Power Shop would likely agree to the trade—including an extra ten Black Banana Roots and ten Giant Dragon Fruits."
Not long after, they arrived in front of the shop, which was as busy as ever.
Oliver parked the car casually before opening the door to get out.
When Evylin stepped out, she had apparently left her shirt behind, still wearing only her tank top.
Her appearance alone drew the attention of every man nearby, making them stop in their tracks.
A beautiful tomboy was far rarer than the typical blonde beauty, and her allure could be even greater when she appeared somewhat sexy.
Being with her earned Oliver plenty of jealous glares, which made him uncomfortable.
But to Evylin, men's stares were no different than the looks of ants—and unfortunately for them, most men around here really were nothing more than ants she could crush with a glance.
She ignored them completely and headed into the Path of Power Shop.
If people knew she was one of the Queen's granddaughters and also the Head of the Manchester City Cultivator Association, no one would dare look at her for too long.
One of the shop's employees came over to greet Oliver and Evylin.
Before the employee could even speak, Evylin said, "Call your manager. I want to see him."
Her voice was cold, but only the employee could feel the heavy pressure behind it.
He nodded quickly before hurrying to the stairs, clearly aware that this beautiful tomboy was no ordinary figure.
Before long, a chubby middle-aged man came down from the second floor.
His eyes immediately locked on Evylin—she was impossible to miss.
"Oh, shit…" The man looked as though he'd just spotted a dark storm, instantly frightened and breaking into a sweat.
He rushed over to Evylin.
"Your Grace, forgive me for keeping you waiting. Please, follow me to my office," he said in the most respectful tone he could manage, speaking quietly as though deliberately hiding the honorific he used for her.
Evylin waved her hand, signaling him to lead the way.
Just from the manager's behavior, everyone could tell how frightening this beautiful tomboy was.
Fortunately, most people were smart enough to be cautious and not approach a woman who came to this shop under such circumstances.
On the second floor, Oliver and Evylin entered a spacious, luxurious room with two large sofas facing each other.
The chubby manager invited them to sit before bringing out iced milk coffee that was already prepared and just needed to be taken from the fridge.
He sat across from them, studying Oliver for a moment before concluding that this young man was also an extraordinary figure despite his age.
"Your Grace, it's a great honor to have you visit my humble shop," he said. "If I may ask, what can I do for you today?"
"First, I want to buy a Tier-3 weapon," Evylin replied before glancing at Oliver.
"Oliver, what type of weapon do you want?" she asked.
"Maybe a spear," Oliver answered.
Compared to blades, he felt more comfortable using a spear. Unfortunately, he hadn't yet found one that suited him.
Evylin then turned back to the chubby manager.
"Do you have a Tier-3 spear?" she asked him.
The manager immediately nodded.
"As it happens, we have one Tier-3 spear in stock. Please wait a moment—I'll fetch it so you can take a look," he said before standing and walking away quickly.
