Zombie Apocalypse: Reborn With A Farming Space

Chapter 403: Return

The moment the store manager saw the emblem on Feng Yun's collar, he quickly walked over and greeted him with a smile, "Comrade, you must be the members of the Phantom Team. Welcome to our store."

Feng Yun looked around before he said, "Hello, Comrade. My name is Feng Yun. I'm the one responsible for delivering the items for sale."

The store manager's eyes lit up at his words. He nodded and said, "Vice Commander Wen already informed me about your arrival. We have prepared a separate shelf to display your team's weapons."

After he finished speaking, the store manager led Feng Yun to the designated shelf.

It was located at the center of the store, serving as a room divider, and was shaped into a circle with one and half meters high. The shelf was made of metal and glass, similar to a jewelry display counter before the apocalypse.

Feng Yun looked around the store for a while before he took out a piece of paper and said, "Comrade, this is the price list for the weapons. My team's weapons are divided into three grades, each with different prices and a limited quantity for sale daily."

"The price for a low-grade weapon is 30 crystal cores, with a daily limit of 20 weapons. A medium-grade weapon costs 350 crystal cores, with only 5 available per day."

"A high-grade weapon costs 1,000 crystal cores, and only one can be produced each week. As for custom-made weapons, the starting price is 2,000 crystal cores and may increase depending on the buyer's requirements. We only accept one custom order per month."

The store manager hesitated for a moment before he said, "Comrade Feng, more than 500 people buy weapons every day. I'm afraid the number your team produces won't meet the demand."

"We are fully aware of that. But in order to prevent people with bad intentions from getting our weapons easily, we have to limit the quantity and use price to control distribution," Feng Yun replied with a smile.

As soon as he heard this, the store manager understood. Now that laws were broken and people had returned to the law of the jungle, countless mercenary groups had emerged, though many were no different from bandits.

If they managed to get their hands on such weapons and increase their strength, they could cause trouble for commoners, and the crime rate outside the base would likely rise drastically.

Now, with how expensive the weapons were, even if someone wanted to enhance their team's power, they would have to consider whether they could actually afford it.

Reaching this conclusion, the store manager nodded and said, "It's still the Phantom Team members who think far ahead."

Feng Yun only smiled at the praise and said nothing. After the brief conversation, the two of them went to the small warehouse located in the back room.

With a wave of his hand, he took out two wooden boxes from his space and said, "Comrade, these are the weapons for one week. I will deliver more every week. Remember to limit the sales."

"I understand," the store manager nodded.

Having finished his business, Feng Yun left the store and returned to the Phantom Team's residence. His team members were busy packing, as they would move into the apartment they had purchased from the base the next day.

While they were busy, a military chopper landed outside the north gate of the Lin'an City Base. The survivors turned their heads to check the situation when they heard the propeller sound.

After the engine was turned off, Jin Xuyan, Jiao Lizhi, and Fu Guai came out of the military chopper. With a wave of her hand, Jiao Lizhi stored the chopper into her space, and the three of them walked toward the entrance of the base.

The moment the guards saw them, they quickly informed their supervisor using a walkie-talkie.

Ten minutes later, they reached the gate and joined the lines. Since Fu Guai was not yet registered as a base member, they could only join the survivors and wait for their turns.

While they were waiting, a soldier walked over. He gave them a salute before he said, "Captain Jin, Comrade Jiao, welcome back. The Commander has been waiting for you in his office. Please come with me."

Jin Xuyan returned his salute and said, "I came back with my brother, and we have to register his name first. We will go visit Xun Che when we are done."

Hearing this, the soldier said, "Captain Jin, your team is registered as an S-grade mercenary team. You have the priority benefit, so you don't have to wait in line."

When he heard this, Jin Xuyan nodded and said, "Okay."

The three of them were led to a tent not far from the entrance. After they underwent inspections for wounds and infections, a soldier helped Fu Guai register his name as a Lin'an City Base permanent resident.

At the same time, Jin Xuyan also added Fu Guai's name to the Phantom Team members' list. In less than twenty minutes, Fu Guai received the Phantom Team's emblem, an identity card, and a point machine.

Seeing the machine, Jiao Lizhi asked, "Comrade, what is the use of this machine?"

"This is a point machine. With this machine, you don't have to go to the points port to transfer or receive your points. With this machine, it will be more convenient when you are doing a transaction," the soldier replied.

Nodding her head, Jiao Lizhi said, "I want to buy two machines for me and my fiancé. How much is it?"

"It costs 100 crystal cores each," the soldier said.

Jiao Lizhi took out a small pouch from her space and started counting the crystal cores. Ten minutes later, she handed the crystal cores to the soldier and stored the point machines in her space.

When they were done, they didn't go to meet with Xun Che but returned to the Phantom Team's residence first.
