Not long after she turned off the chopper's engine and came out of it, two cars approached her. Seeing the soldiers coming out of the cars, the girl waved her hand and stored the military chopper into her space.

The moment Wen Hanli saw this, his eyes lit up. Their base lacked space-type ability-users. If this girl joined their base, he would be able to speed up their supplies collection project.

With this thought in mind, he took several steps forward and stood five meters from the girl. With a hand behind his back, he smiled at her and said, "Welcome to the Lin'an City Base, Comrade."

The girl nodded at him and said, "I came to look for my brother, Jin Xuyan. Is he in this base?"

Wen Hanli returned the ID card to her and said, "Your name is Pei Yixie. You have a different surname from Captain Jin. How can you prove that you are his sister?"

"My face and my blood are the proof," Pei Yixie replied calmly.

Hearing this, Wen Hanli let out a chuckle and said, "Comrade, your face does resemble Captain Jin a little. But you resemble Pei Yijun, the young master of the Pei family, more. If you told me that your brother is Pei Yijun, I would believe you."

Pei Yixie went silent for a moment before she replied, "Pei Yijun is indeed my brother. But Jin Xuyan is also my brother."

Wen Hanli considered the possibility that Jin Xuyan might be the maternal cousin of Pei Yijun and Pei Yixie. To avoid making a mistake, he decided to take this girl back to the base before contacting Jin Xuyan to confirm her claims.

After making up his mind, he nodded and said, "Captain Jin is currently outside doing a mission. You can wait for him at the base first."

When she heard this, Pei Yixie frowned and said, "Is he really staying in this base? If you dare to lie to me, I will kill you."

Wen Hanli met her gaze and replied casually, "It's your choice whether to believe me or not."

After he finished his words, he gestured to the guards, and they returned to the base without bringing her with them.

Standing there, Pei Yixie considered the pros and cons for a while before she decided to wait for her brother in this place. She walked toward the gate and joined the line, waiting for her turn.

Half an hour later, Wen Hanli returned to his office and made a phone call using his satellite phone. Not long after, the call was picked up and Zhang Yuan's voice was heard from the other side. "Hello."

"Vice Captain Zhang, there is someone claiming to be your captain's sister. She is currently lining up at the south gate."

As soon as Wen Hanli finished his words, Zhang Yuan said, "Impossible. My captain is an orphan. Are you sure that this person isn't a scammer?"
