Zombie Apocalypse: Reborn With A Farming Space

Chapter 395: An Abandoned Chess Piece ( 1 )

The rancid stench was overwhelming and the air was stuffy. The roads and buildings were damaged. As far as he could see, there was only destruction, accompanied by the roars of zombies in the distance.

After a moment, Jin Xuyan said, "Fu Guai, today is the 45th day since the apocalypse began. Ah Zhi and I plan to clear the zombies as much as we can and collect all the supplies in this city. After that, we will go back to Lin'an City."

Hearing this, Fu Guai nodded and wrote on Jin Xuyan's palm using his finger, telling him that he would follow their plan.

After they explained the situation to him, the three of them went to collect the supplies in the area before they moved to the next area.

At this moment, the rest of the survivors from the Capital were running for their lives at the border of the Capital.

"Roar!!"

Seeing the zombies chasing them from behind, the survivors threw away their luggage and ran as fast as they could. But no matter how fast they ran, their bodies were weak and malnourished.

Ten minutes later, the distance between them and the zombies was getting closer and closer.

"Roar!"

"Akhh!!"

Following the roar of zombies, one of the survivors was pierced by sharp claws in his chest from behind. He lowered his gaze only to see blood seeping out from his chest, dyeing his clothes red.

Before he could react, the rotten arm retracted while grabbing his heart. The next moment, the man fell to the ground with a thud and saw his family run away without looking back.

Stretching out his hand, he used the last bit of his energy to crawl away. Unfortunately, before he could even move an inch, the zombies already swarmed him and started to feast on his flesh and organs.

"S-save… me…"

"Roar!"

The man's weak voice was soon engulfed by the roars of zombies.

When the rest of the survivors saw this, their faces turned pale, but no one dared to lag behind. As they ran and ran, the differences between the weak and the strong started to become clear. More survivors had no more energy to run and soon became the zombies' food.

In the midst of the survivors, a group of people looked around and saw a motorbike showroom on the left of their location. They exchanged glances and nodded.

While everyone was running to the front and the right direction, they turned to the left and quickly went into the showroom.

The gate of the showroom was locked, so they had no choice but to break the huge glass window. One of them swung his metal bat several times with all of his strength.

Prank!

The sound of the glass breaking echoed on the road. But thanks to the screams of the survivors, the zombies were led away by them and didn't notice their small group at all.

The group quickly went to get the motorbikes and drove away in the opposite direction. As they got further and further from the zombies and the survivors, one of them said, "Boss, we have to get more gas."

Hearing this, a girl who was sitting on the back seat nodded and said, "There is a gas station 300 meters in front. We can get the fuel and restock our supplies there."

When the group heard this, they increased their speed and soon after, they reached the gas station. Unlike the huge number of zombies chasing after the survivors, the number of zombies in this place was less than twenty.

Seeing this, the girl said, "Everyone, let's clear the zombies first, then we can take a break in the minimarket."

The group parked their motorbikes on the roadside and held their weapons tightly. Most of them were using metal rods, while the girl was using a military dagger.

As soon as they walked closer, the zombies noticed them and turned around instantly. Opening their mouths, they let out a roar and rushed over.

The girl took a deep breath and said, "Be careful."

The moment she finished her words, she rushed toward the nearest zombie.

Seeing the prey throwing herself at them, the zombies were excited and reached out their rotten arms. But before their claws could reach the girl, she disappeared suddenly.

Crack!

In a blink of an eye, the girl reappeared behind one of the zombies and stabbed her military dagger into the back of the zombie's head.

After she stabbed the dagger, she twisted it and cracked open the zombie's skull. Black blood splashed on her dirty school uniform while she pulled back her dagger.

"Roar!"

Another zombie roared as it swung its arm at her back.

Sensing the danger, the girl grabbed the dead zombie and spun around.

Crash!

The next moment, the sharp zombie's claws left a long, deep gash on the dead zombie's body. Using that zombie as a shield, the girl stabbed her dagger at the zombie's head and killed it instantly.

While she was fighting several zombies, five men were working together to kill the rest of the zombies.

Twenty minutes later, they finally killed the last zombie and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Damn it! These monsters are so hard to kill," one of the men said while wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Break their skulls and see if there is a crystal inside their brain," the girl said while she split open the zombie's head as if it were a watermelon.

Seeing how calm she was, the group looked at her with a trace of fear in their eyes. They didn't know where she came from or what her name was.

They met her on their way from the airport to the border. At that moment, she was walking alone on the roadside. Seeing that she was only a 17- or 18-year-old girl, the survivors invited her to join them.

Due to her unkempt appearance and dirty clothes, no one paid much attention to her until a few days later, when she killed a fire-type zombie alone.
