Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 97: Solar Panels

With that, he turned around and left. Soon, he returned to the apartment and saw that Ivy was still sleeping.

His heart, which was burning with rage, suddenly calmed down. Pulling a chair near the bed, he sat down and stared at her beautiful face.

Peaceful. Innocent and… different from the one he had seen in the dream. There was no agony, panic, or fear, just… peace.

When Ivy opened her eyes, she realized that it was 10 am. Her eyes widened in surprise. Though she didn't have any sleeping disorder, she had hardly ever slept so soundly.

No nightmare, no dreams. Just a peaceful dreamless night.

After stretching her muscles, she got out of bed and took a shower in her space before emerging from the room. Silas wasn't present; however, her breakfast was lying on the table.

Knowing that Silas was around, Ivy smiled sweetly and looked at the breakfast with an excited expression,

"My hubby is the best."

She only needs to restrain herself in front of Silas, but behind his back… she can love him as much as she likes.

After eating her breakfast, she immediately moved toward her next plan. Exchanging supplies for a solar cooker and other necessities.

However, before she could even move, a timer appeared in front of her. Ivy was delighted at the fact that this time she didn't need to move away.

She expected to get medicine again this time. However, to her surprise, this time she saw a completely new item.

Pepper!

The timer started, and Ivy didn't hesitate but bent down. A packet of black pepper appeared in her hand.

Black pepper of 650g? Picked!

White pepper of 350g? Picked!

Green pepper of 450g? Picked!

Pink pepper of 550g? Picked!'

Red peppercorn of 250g? Picked!

Even Ivy lost count, but she continued to pick them. This time, after finishing all the packets from the living room, she didn't forget to check the kitchen and master bedroom. Sure enough, they too had the packets.

Without hesitation, she continued to pick the packets. Due to her improved physique from the heavy workout she was doing in the past few days, Ivy was able to clean up the entire master bedroom and kitchen.

She even reached till storage room and completed it. But before she could step inside, the timer was over. Ivy could only sigh before checking on hom much she had picked up this time.

She had picked up 200 packets of each type of pepper. Hm… not bad. If she multiplied them by 25, she would have 5000 of each type of pepper and a total of 25000.

Delighted by her harvest, Ivy smiled, opened her mobile, and posted an offer. For one solar cooker, she was ready to give 1kg of rice, 2 bento boxes, 1 kg of flour, and 5 packets of salt.

The moment her post appeared on the forum, many of the comments flooded in.

"Oh, you are being too stingy! So less? Why not give me 10kg of rice and 5 salt packets? I will give you a gtop class solar cooker!"

"Oh, the humanity has died! A solar cooker is worth $495, and what Op is giving is less than $100!"

"Looks like the upstairs isn't living in the same world at all. Have you forgotten that it is apocalypse now? There are many who are dying, and even 1kg of rice is a boon for them! The current price of 1kg of rice is 5 grams of gold, while you can't even buy 5 salt packs with 30 grams of gold now!"

"Indeed! Seeing the first and second comments, I heavily suspect that they are living on Mars! Anyways, Op, if you can add 5 kg of rice and 5 more packs of salt, I will give you solar panels too!"

"I am ready to give you two pairs of solar panels, 2 solar cookers, and a solar oven. Just give me 10 kg of rice, 10 packets of salt, and 10kg of flour."

…..

Many such comments flooded in, and Ivy calmly read them one by one. However, one of the comments caught her attention.

"I am a supplier of solar panels and have solar equipment too. If you are interested in buying in bulk, please dm me."

Ivy immediately clicked on his ID and checked his profile. To her delight, there were many old posts promoting his solar panels, which assured that he was a genuine seller.

Her eyes lit up and she DM'ed him. In a few seconds, she received a reply asking her how many solar panels and equipment she wants to buy.

"How many do you have?" She asked in return.

After all, to open a base, the prime requirement would be solar panels, and hence she wanted to get as many as she could. The only problem was… will she have enough supplies?

Ivy wasn't worried about the future much. She can never lack food supplies because of the special type of superpower she has… the only problem was… time.

She didn't have enough time to hoard them. On average, she can pick up 900 items a day. Certain time, her power doesn't get triggered at all, and Ivy concluded that she must have been far away from the place, and hence her power doesn't get triggered.

Anyways… she was determined to buy solar panels, a solar cooker as well as a solar oven, and whatever the cost would be, Ivy decided to cover it by picking up more supplies.

Just then, the seller messaged back, and for a moment, Ivy was speechless and doubted if the seller was pulling her leg.

Atlas: "1 million panels. 812,220 solar cookers, and 760,200 solar ovens. I also have solar generators. So how many are you planning to buy?"

Ivy rubbed her eyes repeatedly to see the huge number. She muttered in a small voice, "Wow… did I just stumble across a big shot or what?"

However… there were too many strange factors. Why does he have so many panels even after 4 months of the apocalypse?
