Chapter 95: Dream Or Future?
With that, he closed his eyes and fell into deep slumber.
When he opened his eyes, though, he found himself in a completely different place…
It was a storage room with many boxes inside. For a moment, he didn't understand what was going on until the door of the storage room was opened and a familiar figure rushed in.
The moment Silas saw a certain pink-haired woman, his heart skipped a beat, but as his eyes traveled down, his entire body froze.
She was naked with various scars across her body, her slightly slim figure had now transformed into a skeletal-like figure, while her pale skin looked deadly pale as if she would die any second.
What was even more surprising was… how mature Ivy looked. It was as if she were… 26 or something.
His heart ached, while his body moved on its own, he took out his jacket and called out,
"Ivy, come here…"
But his words fell on deaf ears, as Ivy ignored him and, with a panicked expression and hollow eyes, searched for something.
He tried to drape her with his coat, but it didn't even touch Ivy and passed through her. His eyes widened, but before he could process the entire scene, Ivy hid in one of the boxes and covered herself.
"Ivy?" Silas tried to open the box, but he couldn't move the flaps of the box. Just as he was worried sound of footsteps echoed.
His attention was still focused on Ivy when he heard a familiar yet unfamiliar voice,
"Little Ivy... where are you? Come out. Let me hand you back to the leader."
Silas immediately turned toward the newcomer, and his eyes turned chilly. He barked out, "How dare you talk about Ivy like that? Apologize to her, Ronan!"
Yup. The figure was Ronan, however… he looked far more mature and evil than the real Ronan. It was as if… he had undergone a deep transformation.
Silas wasn't in the mood to analyse Ronan at all. All he wanted was to protect Ivy. However, Ronan seemed not to have heard his voice at all and continued to talk.
Eventually, he found Ivy and let Mark talk about how they might be able to have a piece of her as long as they…
Ronan said something more, but some of the words seemed to have blurred. To Silas current situation was absurd.
But what triggered him was Mark and Ronan's lustful comments about Ivy, followed by Ronan's rough action of dragging Ivy out of the box by pulling her hair and dragging her out of the room by her hair.

"Ronan! You b*stard! Stop! Stop right there! Leave her! She is in pain! Why the f*ck are you behaving like that!" Silas bellowed and tried his best to push away Ronan's hand, but for some mysterious reason, he couldn't touch anyone.
He watched as they dragged her away while Ivy repeatedly begged for mercy; her stance was so lowered that anyone might have felt pity for her.
Silas felt as if someone had choked him, and he couldn't breathe properly. He tried to follow them, but an invisible force stopped him.
What made his heart even more tense was… Ivy's last line before she left. She clearly said,
"Ahhh! Please! Please have mercy! That monster will violate me! He will r*pe again! Please..."
Who? Who was going to r*pe her?
Silas saw red and for a moment, he wanted to kill Ronan, his two minions, and the person who had r*ped Ivy.
How f*cking dare! How dare they treat his Ivy like this!
But what he felt, even more, was fear. He could only watch in fear as Ivy was dragged away, unaware of what she was going to suffer.
Just as his anger reached its peak, resentment and killing intent became even more apparent. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and saw Ivy's side profile under the lamp's glow.
He immediately hugged her tightly, while his heart was beating rapidly.
Thank god. Thank god it was all a dream and she was still beside him. She hasn't suffered something like that, and he will make sure she won't.
'It was all a dream! Yes! And she is going to kill Ronan today anyway…'
Midway through his thoughts, Silas froze. It was as if someone had doused him with cold water. A question that he didn't ask surfaced in his mind.
'Why did she even want to kill Ronan?'
Why? Because… she might have seen the future… the future where…
Silas's heart turned cold at the realization that… it wasn't a dream but a future. A future where… he wasn't there to protect her and she was r*pe and even forced to beg for mercy.
The killing intent in his heart surged, and he got out of his bed. He wore a simple black jacket and was about to leave, but paused.
Staring at peacefully sleeping Ivy, he gently bent down and kissed her forehead,
"Don't worry, my love, I will let them experience a hell they will never forget."
With that, he left the apartment and called Henry. Once the call was connected, he coldly gave an order,
"Call Ronan, Mark, and Peter to a secluded corner."
"But captain… why are you preponing the plan?" Henry's puzzled voice sounded from the other end.
Usually, Silas would have at least given him some hint or information, but today he directly hung up the call.
Henry stared at his phone with a dazed look. The last time Silas had talked like this… someone had died. Just who has offended him this time?
Soon, Ronan, along with his two minions, reached a secluded place in the military. There weren't any zombies around, and Mark's trembling voice echoed,
"I don't think this is a good Idea. Why would General Frank call us to such a place out of nowhere? I think we should leave."
