Chapter 44:
Chapter 44:
After driving for four hours, the car finally turned onto a winding mountain road filled with twists and turns. Since the program team’s vehicle was a bus, the ride was bumpy and uncomfortable. Jiang Feng was irritated and couldn’t stop complaining.
“I have no idea how you even found this remote place. It’s bad enough that you found it, but you had to drag me here too. Instead of trying to change something in a place like this, wouldn’t it be better to just read a few more books?”
“Xiao Feng, don’t say that,” Jiang Nan sighed, frowning. “The people here have lived in the mountains their whole lives. It’s really sad.”
Jiang Nan looked at the female choreographer apologetically. “Sorry about my brother. He didn’t mean anything by it. He’s never really experienced hardship, so…”
“So what does that have to do with you?” Jiang Feng snapped, giving his brother a look of arrogance and disdain. “Do we know each other that well? Why are you apologizing for me? What do I have to apologize for? What did I do wrong?”
“I…”
Before Jiang Nan could answer, Jiang Feng continued, crossing his legs and firing off like a machine gun.
“What are you saying? Stop being so hypocritical, Jiang Nan! You really care about these people? Why don’t you come teach here yourself? Or make some money and donate it? All you do is talk about it. You’ve mastered the art of talking big, haven’t you?”
Jiang Nan stayed silent.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Did someone tell you not to let me speak? What did I say that was wrong?”
Jiang Feng suddenly turned toward the female choreographer sitting nearby and stared at her intently. “Tell me, isn’t this ride bumpy?”
“Uh, yes,” she answered, a bit confused. “This bus… it’s an older model, and these mountain roads make the ride a little rough.”
“Exactly! My legs are going numb. Why is your show crew so cheap?”
Jiang Feng’s expression was stern, and though he was clearly angry, there was something oddly endearing about him. His outburst didn’t come across as annoying, and even the female choreographer found herself trying to comfort him.
“Just hang in there. We’ll be there soon.” She said gently.
“Oh.”
“Though we still have a ways to go.”
“…”
For a long time, Jiang Feng didn’t respond. The female choreographer glanced over and couldn’t help but laugh when she saw him. Jiang Feng, hearing they weren’t close yet, had slumped in his seat, looking like a deflated cabbage.
Suddenly, as if remembering something, he pulled out his phone and started playing a game. His gaming skills were impressive. No matter what kind of competitive game he played, all of his accounts ranked in the top 100 on the server.
Jiang Feng glanced at his various win rates, noticing how rare it was to be so versatile. As he was still trying to decide which career path to pursue in this world, he realized that becoming a professional gamer, following the original owner’s ambitions, was the right choice.
Jiang Feng was very capable. Once he made a decision, he dedicated himself to it. Over the past few days, he had been studying all the nuances of different games—whether it was playing the carry, jungle, mid lane, side lane, or support. He had learned the heroes and skills for all five roles. Now, with nothing else to do on the bus, he naturally used the time to practice.
