Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 50: Anti-Dimension

"Attention all personnel, the forty-third annihilation experiment is about to begin."

Ansen's calm voice echoed through the broadcast, causing thousands of goblins within the massive metal framework structure to tense up.

The Floating City Research Institute, currently the most advanced academic and research institution in the goblin world. Here, one can not only learn the traditional goblin mechanical science and transformation science but also have access to the divine skill from the Sage—Alchemy.

The establishment of the Institute began after the Floating City project was approved.

Ultimately, Ansen decided to locate the Institute in the Abyss Wilderness in the northwest of the goblin world. According to ancient goblin legends, this wilderness was once a fertile land. But it became barren due to the battle between the Master of Wholeness and the Evil Demon.

Of course, this claim is pure nonsense. After investigation, the area became desolate purely because of changes in the earth veins, making the energy here denser. Due to the unique rules of the goblin world, the increased energy concentration also led to more impacts on living beings. Ordinary creatures could not resist this frenzied energy, hence the barrenness.

The reason for choosing this location is simple; it is currently so barren that any accidents during experiments won't cause casualties.

And after the Institute was built, several experiment accidents caused massive craters, proving the necessity of this consideration.

As the goblins took their positions, a sealed room beneath an experimental laboratory began the forty-third experiment. This experiment concerns whether the Floating City Power Furnace can be built.

"Energy transmission pipeline check complete, no anomalies."

"Energy converter check complete, no anomalies."

"Dimension rift generator check complete, no anomalies."

"High-energy defense barrier check complete, no anomalies."

...

In a series of confirmations of no anomalies, Ansen glanced at Richard beside him. With a wave of Richard's hand, Ansen said into the broadcast, "All equipment is without anomaly, I hereby declare the forty-third annihilation reaction officially starts."

...

In the past, Richard was always curious about the principles behind the Floating City's power furnace.

The Floating City is an enormous metal construct, its mass can only be described as exaggerated. Even though the Star Realm lacks the internal gravity found inside worlds, propelling such a colossal creation is still an incredible task.

The Floating City is not slow, according to theoretical figures on the schematics, this massive object could even accelerate to the speed of a light beam, reaching the speed barrier beyond the curtain.

Of course, this is only theoretical, like a spherical chicken in a vacuum.

Practical operation would result in the disintegration of the Floating City if accelerated to the speed of a light beam.

And now, Richard had acquired the design schematics of the Floating City. Although, to cater to Richard's conditions, the design provided by the Physique Crown Throne was a very primitive version of the Floating City. But the power furnace's principle was enough to unravel Richard's doubts.

Following the command, a group of goblin researchers began systematically activating the machines. Most of these machines were manufactured by Richard—after becoming a Great Wizard, Richard's level of Alchemy didn't improve, but his manufacturing skills greatly enhanced.

The enhancement in spiritual power quality allowed Richard to effortlessly complete steps that required utmost caution during his Three Rings Wizard period. And those steps he could easily complete as a Three Rings Wizard were now as quick as breathing.

But a small portion was made by goblin alchemists.

For some reason, possibly due to the goblins' strong reproductive abilities leading to a large population, even the geniuses they screened out were stronger than ordinary geniuses. Anyway, the goblins at this Institute are all Alchemy prodigies, learning everything at a single instruction, and even able to draw inferences in their spare time.

After systematic Alchemy training, these individuals even spontaneously compiled a set of textbooks, making Alchemy education more standardized and reasonable, allowing other goblins to learn more easily.

If it weren't for Richard insisting that learning Alchemy must pass through the Mechanical Master or Transformation Master examination, these individuals even intended to further simplify the textbook, disseminating Alchemy enlightenment to all goblins in pamphlet form.

As for monopolizing knowledge? Impossible.

Faith and knowledge are not contradictory, in the goblin world, every Mechanic is a believer of the Sage.

The great Sage passed on the radiance of this knowledge to us, and naturally, we too must pass this radiance to the world. If you wish to monopolize knowledge, it means you have betrayed the Sage's ideas, an unforgivable heretic must be punished by burning at the stake!

Praise the Sage, praise the sun.

The machinery began operating, with frenzied energy gushing out from the power furnace, traveling through the energy transmission pipeline into the energy converter, and then transformed into a gentler magic power. The magic power proceeded from the energy converter along the pipelines to their respective destinations.

Outside the sealed room, a gigantic machine made of metal and crystal gradually came to life as energy poured in.

This machine is formally named the Dimension Rift Generator, but the goblins, according to their mythology, gave it a more mythological name—the One-eyed Giant.

Now, the One-eyed Giant has opened its eye.

Buzz!

A wave of near-ferocious energy emanated from the Dimension Rift Generator, and the next moment, a faint light glowed in the sealed room beneath the machine.

Countless tiny runes appeared on the room's walls. Their purpose was not to assist the machine's work; on the contrary, they were to restrict the product of the Dimension Rift Generator.

In the center of the sealed room, a rift leading to the anti-dimension was opened.

A tiny particle of dust followed the rift into the room, and in the next moment, an unimaginable surge of energy burst within the sealed room.

This is the foundation of the Floating City Power Furnace—the annihilation of matter and antimatter.

"We did it! We succeeded!"

"Praise the Sage, praise the sun!"

"Finally succeeded, let's have something good to eat tonight, my treat!"

Chemical Place's cheering echoed throughout the chambers of the institute, even the janitors joined in the celebration.

The appearance of the annihilation reaction indicated that their Dimension Rift Generator had found the anti-dimension, and with the anti-dimension found, the fuel problem of the Floating City Power Furnace was solved.

All that remained was knowing the power furnace and having established the antimatter storage compartment.

These tasks require steady efforts, but the major problem of the Floating City has been resolved.

"Finally succeeded."

Richard looked at the data from the Crystal Ball, a slight sigh of relief escaping his heart.

This Dimension Rift Generator was not the original version provided by the Crown Throne, with many parts replaced by Richard due to material issues, utilizing his own knowledge.

The goblin world, though small, has resources aplenty, but certain special materials often require specific rules or conditions to form.

Thus, a shortage of materials was inevitable.

Though Richard could continue to seek materials from the Crown Throne through the Wizard Dimension, he felt it irrational to trouble a Truth Wizard for such minor matters.

Thankfully, Richard's alchemy skills are decent, and after tuning some data, the anti-dimension was finally found.

"You've worked hard during this period," Richard turned to Ansen, "The anti-dimension has been located, the rest is a matter of steady work. Rest up, all members of the institute have a one-month vacation."

"My lord, we do not need rest," Ansen's eyes glowed with determination, "I and my subordinates have undergone physical transformations, this work period is not a problem for us.

My lord, we wish to continue working."

"I reject your application," Richard replied flatly, "If you wish to work overtime, you can quietly handle things during the break, but don't force those who originally want time off into extra work with you."

"…Yes, my lord."

Leaving the institute, Richard didn't return to the Secret Realm, but headed to the Abyss Wilderness outside.

It's been ten years since the Abyss War ended, and ninety percent of the abyss contamination has been cleared, with the rest being minor and self-healable by the world.

The azure skies, the radiant sun, it seems the world has returned to its state before the abyss appeared.

However, these matters were of no significance to Richard.

Walking in the Abyss Wilderness, the scene before Richard gradually peeled away its veil.

Having become the World Master, Richard could actively explore the world's depths through the Power of Dimension.

Within the world constructed by rules, Richard could clearly see a web-like rule network surrounding him.

"Frenzy Energy Rule, no, it should be called Active Energy Rule. This world's hidden rules are truly strong."

According to the wizard's research, the most primitive form of energy lacks any special properties. The energies mastered by creatures with special properties are essentially the result of biological rendering.

Creatures function as dye, adding their own colors to a fundamentally white fabric.

But the Active Energy Rule is somewhat fascinating; it is a dye too, and the darkest black.

No matter the energy, once dyed by it, it becomes more active. For any entity whose main force is manipulating energy, this is lethal.

Active energy requires a more stable structure, and once energy becomes frenzied, the originally stable energy structure can become unstable; if the frenzy effect is strong enough, it can also lead to the collapse of the original structure.

This means, as long as the additional Rule Power is strong enough, even a level one spell can breach a defense of a ten-thousand-level energy barrier.

Richard calmly observes everything around him; the World Master learns rules through imprinting. As Richard observes the rules, his soul comes into contact with them, some leaving an imprint, known as Rule Fragments.

The rules acquired this way often lack a system and have minimal effects. But Richard found through experimentation that if in his environment a certain non-latent rule, namely a rule not composing some material, is abundant, the probability of acquiring that rule increases, and more rules are obtained.

Here in the wilderness, the Active Energy Rule is that abundantly non-latent rule.
