With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1121: True form

This time, there wasn't an expression change that appeared on Dungeon Core 563's face.

After all, the name Haku was quite the famous one and once it was mentioned, there was a certain prestige that came with it.

Especially if the other side was a dungeon core.

So as soon as the name Haku came out, Dungeon Core 563 seemed to take this matter much more seriously.

After a long silence, Dungeon Core 563 suddenly asked, "Is it all our war?"

Lin Fan couldn't help being surprised by how quickly Dungeon Core 563 connected the dots just from this one thing that he said, but he didn't say anything as well. He calmly watched Dungeon Core 563 to see what his reaction would be and which side he supported.

But in the end, Dungeon Core 563 had quite the poker face.

It seemed that Dungeon Core 563 had learned quite a bit from his time as a S Rank Adventurer. It seemed that he was able to differentiate between when to reveal his emotions and when to hide it.

After a while, Lin Fan said, "It's not all out war. Or at least it's not all out war just yet. Right now, it's just the phase before that, which is why it's the best chance to join if you want to join."

Dungeon Core 563 seemed to knit his brows slightly when he heard this.

It seemed that this was his first reaction, but it didn't seem like it was exactly a good reaction.

After all, it seemed like he didn't want to get involved in some kind of mess.

But in the end, Dungeon Core 563 said, "I've heard something about a Mist Lord in the area around the Kalos Empire during this time. Since you're using mist now, it should mean that this Mist Lord is related to the Laver Empire."

Lin Fan couldn't help being a bit surprised by these words.

He didn't expect Dungeon Core 563 to suddenly make this connection, but he didn't let it show.

Instead, Lin Fan just said, "Even if you tell anyone, who do you think will believe you? You might be able to get some to believe you with your status, but how many will actually believe what you claim?"

Dungeon Core 563 didn't say anything else in response, but it was clear by the look on his face that he knew that Lin Fan was right.

Just based on a bit of mist, he wanted to claim something like this?

Not just the Kalos Empire, even the Laver Empire wouldn't want to accept something like this.

After all, even if the Laver Empire would gain something from having people acknowledge the Mist Lord was part of them, they would lose more compared to this.

As for the Kalos Empire, they wouldn't admit it since the Mist Lord being a part of the Laver Empire would mean that they would be pushing the Mist Lord over to the enemy.

At the same time, there were no smaller kingdoms or empires that would admit that the Mist Lord belonged to them.

Offending an expert like this would no doubt cause trouble for them.

As such, everyone would just think that Dungeon Core 563 was causing trouble. Or at the very least, they would think that Dungeon Core 563 had some kind of grudge against the Mist Lord.

So it wasn't as if this was even a threat towards Lin Fan or the Laver Empire.

After a while, Dungeon Core 563 finally said, "At the very least, it should cause trouble for whatever you're planning. So at the very least, you wouldn't want these kinds of rumours following you."

Lin Fan didn't deny this since it was a fact.

But he didn't say anything since he wasn't going to fall for Dungeon Core 563's threats.

Right now, he was the one that had the momentum, so he was the one that was driving the negotiations. Showing any kind of weakness at a moment like this would no doubt cause him to give concessions that he didn't want to give.

That was why there was a long silence that filled the air.

In the end, it was Dungeon Core 563 that broke the silence by saying, "I'm sure that neither of us wants to spend too much time on this matter, so let's just go to our bottom lines."

Lin Fan felt a trace of admiration when he heard this, but he didn't say anything in response.

After all, he had no idea what Dungeon Core 563 was actually thinking.

Even if Dungeon Core 563 was saying that they should just say what their bottom lines were, there was no telling what Dungeon Core 563 would actually do. So first he would wait and see since being the side that waited would mean that he would have the ability to dictate how it went.

"I want to meet Big Sister Haku."

Or that was what Lin Fan thought until this ball suddenly came out of left park.

Lin Fan had to make sure that there wasn't a problem with his ears since it felt like what he heard was wrong. But it didn't take Lin Fan long to check that his hearing was alright.

Dungeon Core 563 had indeed said what he had said.

But instead of answering, Lin Fan just opened up the dungeon core forum.

He quickly went to his history and pulled up one of the posts that Dungeon Core 563 had commented on before opening up his profile.

The moment that he did, he saw the reason why Dungeon Core 563 had said this.

It wasn't something that was pinned, so it wasn't something that was shown unless one went to his profile to check.

But it turned out that Dungeon Core 563 was actually part of Haku's fanclub.

This really made Lin Fan question just how big Haku's fanclub was that he was meeting all these different dungeon cores that were a part of it.

If her fanclub was already this big, shouldn't she have already claimed every part of the continent already?

After all, the power that the dungeon cores gathered definitely wasn't something to look down on.

It could even be said that it was the dungeon cores that decided how this magic continent developed. After all, most of the resources from the magic continent were concentrated on the dungeons.

The humans spent a lot of resources exploring the dungeons just to pull out more resources from them.

That was why there were so many cities and towns that were built near the dungeons in the first place. Many of these places even depended on the dungeons to a certain extent.

With this kind of influence, the dungeon cores should have been able to unite the magic continent under them a long time ago.

After thinking about it, Lin Fan said, "Alright. Not only will you be able to meet your Big Sister Haku, I'll even get her to have lunch with you as long as you help."

"You can't joke about something like this." Dungeon Core 563 said in a serious voice.

Lin Fan was caught off guard by how serious Dungeon Core 563 was when he said this. It almost seemed a bit scary considering how he was a buff middle aged man and Haku was a young girl…

But then again, Haku only took that form for convenience.

She was one of the earliest dungeon cores, so she was an old hag that had been alive for countless years now.

Of course, this was something that Lin Fan would never say to Haku's face.

After coming to an agreement, Lin Fan released the mist around the area and revealed himself. Though he was still using an illusion to hide himself so that they weren't able to see his true appearance.

This was just his insurance just in case.

But to his surprise…

"Since we're planning on working together, I'll show you our true appearance."

As soon as Dungeon Core 563 said this, his entire body started to change. It started to grow much smaller.

But it wasn't just Dungeon Core 563 that changed.

It was the entire S Rank Party that changed.

When they were done, it was a group of young girls who appeared.

But there was a distinguishing feature about these young girls…

All of them had a pair of animal ears on their heads. It seemed that all of them seemed to be some kind of beastman, but it wasn't the same as Sirius and the others.

It seemed that they were more human than beasts.

"Why do you hide your true appearance like this?" Lin Fan couldn't help asking.

"Well, it's hard to get respect when we're in this appearance, don't you think?" Dungeon Core 563 said with a straight face that made an awkward look appear on Lin Fan's face.

He knew that she wasn't wrong.

After all, a group of young beast girls like this certainly wouldn't command respect. Though Lin Fan could sense the mana fluctuations coming from them showing that they weren't weak.

They were certainly all at his level and if they fought together, then he would most likely lose.

That was only if they were in a straight fight and Lin Fan didn't have his tricks.

But even now, Lin Fan felt that there was something wrong when he was standing in front of a group of young girls like this…

In the end, Dungeon Core 563 relieved this awkwardness by saying, "Alright, what is your plan?"
