With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1120: Dungeon Core 563

Dungeon Core 563 was the leader of this group of S Rank Adventurers, so his reaction was something that everyone noticed since he was the center of attention at this moment.

When everyone saw him knit his brows all of a sudden, they couldn't help asking in concerned voices, "Is something wrong?"

Dungeon Core 563 didn't seem to care about what they said as he looked around with the same frown on his face, but it only grew as he couldn't find what he was looking for.

This was a voice that had spoken right into his mind, so he knew that whoever it was that spoke to him just now wouldn't be a normal person. As such, he had been using the different methods that were available to him to search for any other kind of method that could have been used.

But even then, Dungeon Core 563 couldn't find anything which was why he had this frown on his face.

"Just give up, you'll never be able to find me."

That made Dungeon Core 563's brows knit even more as he tried once again to find the source of this voice. But no matter how he looked around, he couldn't find a single trace of the owner of this voice.

With the way that Dungeon Core 563 acted, the rest of the people that were here all looked around as if they were trying to find what he was looking for. They thought that he found some kind of hidden enemy that they couldn't see.

"Stop trying to look for me. If I didn't want to talk to you, I wouldn't have contacted you in the first place. All you have to do is come to the place that I set and we'll meet there. Until then, stop trying to find me or else you'll cause even more trouble."

This time, Dungeon Core 563 didn't look around like he did before, but he still had that frown on his face.

There was what seemed to be a conflicted look in his eyes, as if he was trying to figure out what to do next.

In the end, Dungeon Core 563 said, "I was just thinking about something, there's nothing to worry about at all."

Everyone couldn't help looking at Dungeon Core 563 with strange looks when they heard this, but there was nothing that they could say in the end. After all, if he didn't want to talk about it, they just couldn't force him to say anything.

The rest of the meeting with the S Rank Adventurers went as normal while the one that had caused the commotion was just sitting on the side with a bored look on his face.

What Lin Fan was doing was waiting to see if he could gain any new information while listening to what was happening.

Only there wasn't anything that he had gained since they just tried to convince Dungeon Core 563 to come to the side of the six factions. They didn't actually have any special assignments for him and his group, the assignments that they had were simple assignments for anyone that reached the S Rank.

Once that was over, the regiment commander took Lin Fan back to the castle.

But Lin Fan easily snuck out at night with the same excuse as before.

Once again, the regiment commander tossed him a few coins as if he was treating him to this as his superior.

What the regiment commander never knew was that Lin Fan would never actually use his coin.

After leaving the castle, Lin Fan went to the same place as before where he received another teasing. But after that, he quickly made his way through the streets to a different place.

This place wasn't that far from the brothel.

This was a place that was quite near the Adventurer's Guild.

When he arrived, he found that there was already someone there waiting for him and based on the way that they waited, it seemed that they had been here for a while. It seemed that they didn't trust him, so they made sure to come early.

Though the reason they came early wasn't because they didn't want to miss Lin Fan.

The reason that they had come early was all because they wanted to set up a net for Lin Fan.

It was a net that would tell them right away when Lin Fan arrived.

The problem was that it wasn't something that was hidden well enough that Lin Fan couldn't find it. The moment that Lin Fan arrived, he released his spiritual sense and he found this net right away.

In a way, it was even a crude net that was set.

But the net that was set was something that was different from what the people of the magic continent were used to.

It was a video surveillance net, so they wouldn't have known how to deal with it.

This was without a doubt something that came from the dungeon core system. If it wasn't for that, then one shouldn't be able to obtain something like this on the magic continent.

However, for someone like Lin Fan who was familiar with this kind of surveillance system, it was easy for him to move out of the way. Especially since these were only normal cameras that were being used.

These weren't even infrared or night vision cameras, so it wasn't as if they would be that reliable.

It seemed that they just weren't familiar with this kind of technology, which was why they chose the simplest option.

With a wave of his hand, there was a mist that soon filled this space.

With the mist covering the view of the cameras, the one that used the cameras soon abandoned this plan. At the same time, with the mists covering their visions, it wasn't as if they were able to find anything.

So the person that was waiting lost their patience, "Is there a point in hiding like this? You're the one that called me out. Just come out and say what you want to say. It's not as if there's anything that you don't have on me already."

This was Dungeon Core 563 that said this.

Lin Fan didn't release the mist after Dungeon Core 563 said this, but he did say, "Well, there's no need for you to know who I am, is there?"

Dungeon Core 563 deeply knitted his brows again when he heard this.

After all, he didn't enjoy this feeling of someone holding something over him.

He couldn't even find a trace of the other side.

It meant that his fate was completely in the hands of the other person.

It was this feeling of helplessness that made him feel frustrated.

So in the end, Dungeon Core 563 forced himself to calm down before saying, "What is it that you want? I know that you didn't call me out here just to make small talk, especially not after you threatened me like that."

"I just want to know what you are doing in the capital of the Kalos Empire."

Dungeon Core 563 didn't answer when he heard this.

Instead, there was a confused look that appeared on his face.

It even seemed like he was asking, "Is that it?"

After a long silence, he said, "It was the Adventurer's Guild that called us here. They were the ones that said that there was something that they needed from us here, which was why we came to Glory City."

Lin Fan didn't say anything in the end as he just looked at Dungeon Core 563 carefully.

He was trying to see if there were any lies in this answer, but it didn't seem like there were any.

It seemed like Dungeon Core 563 was being sincere.

But if that was the case, then why would the Adventurer's Guild do something like this?

The Adventurer's Guild was an organization that was founded and controlled by Haku, so did that mean that she was the one that called Dungeon Core 563 here?

No, she wouldn't do something like that since it didn't fit their plan at all.

This was most likely the work of the local branch.

Even though Haku controlled the Adventurer's Guild in general, it wasn't as if she was able to control what every single branch did. There were those that acted for their own benefit.

So it was clear that this Kalos Empire branch was acting on their own to call Dungeon Core 563's group here.

Now the question was whether to let them go or to keep them for his own use.

Dungeon Core 563 was one of those neutral dungeon cores since he only cared about his hobby of acting as an adventurer. His dungeon wasn't even a big one and it was just controlled by a few of his summons.

The real way that he earned DP was killing monsters and then absorbing them.

This was a dungeon core that lived in a risky manner as he walked around with his core inside of this body that he created for himself. That was how he was able to absorb DP from monsters while on the move.

Since Dungeon Core 563 didn't really have an allegiance, it meant that it was easy for Lin Fan to find a way to control him.

Only would bringing this extra factor into the plan cause problems?

After thinking about it, Lin Fan finally said, "I'm here on behalf of Haku of the Laver Empire to take care of something inside of this Kalos Empire. Would you be willing to work with me?"
