Shinji muttered to himself, "So Veronica will get pregnant? I'll die, and my supposed daughter will fall in love with a 40-year-old man… who also happens to be her mother's first crush? That's really unacceptable. But how should I tell her that she needs to clean up her act before things get messy? Well, time will tell. Not my business for now. Let's make her confess first."

Jumping up from the bed, Aki stretched and spoke confidently to himself, "Let's meet those bastards who plan to betray and kill me first."

From his memories, Shinji knew he was capable of taking down one or two opponents. While the previous owner of this body wasn't ideal, he did train enough that a basic Bankai seemed possible. "Let's kill the rats first while also testing how this system works," Shinji muttered.

Opening his door, Shinji went straight downstairs, where a group of adventurers and three of the Princess's escorts sat chatting at a round table like ordinary people. Standing confidently before them, Aki asked, "How much did Prince Aldrich pay you?"

It was a simple sentence, but the entire room fell silent.

One of the men scoffed, "What are you babbling about, blind guy?"

Shinji remained unfazed. "Let's not play around. Let's cut to the chase. I asked how much money it took to make you plot against the Princess."

The previously smug man froze, his expression shifting to one of alarm. "Seems like we've been exposed… What should we do now? We've been discovered by a blind guy of all people!"

The same man suddenly shouted, "Kill him and the others, then take the Princess, Simple right!"

At his command, swords were drawn. There were only two knights on Shinji's side, and the rest—including the adventurers and the innkeeper—were paid actors.

"Sir Galuge, protect the Princess and the maids! Sir Lance, guard the stairs!" Shinji barked orders as he jumped back from where he was standing.

The area exploded into chaos. Though the two knights were skeptical about taking orders from a mere blind man, they prioritized the Princess over everything else. One knight ran upstairs to protect the Princess, while the other guarded the staircase, ensuring no one could follow. The traitors didn't hesitate and began advancing on Shinji.

Spitting his saliva in contempt, one of the traitors sneered, "What can you three do? We're practically an army compared to you."

Another, who seemed to be a knight from their side, added smugly, "We don't even need to take the Princess hostage. All we have to do is kill you three, rape the maids, and kidnap the Princess. Simple. There's no need to complicate things."

The atmosphere was tense.

"Shinji, you idiot! Come up here! You can't fight them!" the Princess shouted from above. She appeared on the stairs with her two maids and the knight, her expression panicked.

Me? Up there- hide behind your skirt? That's reasonable- as I got to tag you because of favourism.... But not today. Today is the time, 'the time to show her that her daughter's father is no weakling,' Shinji thought, smirking.

"Well, I don't have a choice then."

**"""""""—Bankai.—""""""***

The second he uttered the word, a sword manifested in his hand. Holding it in his left hand, he placed his right palm against the ring on the crossguard, spinning it. Spiritual energy surged outward, forming a massive circular perimeter.

The spinning ring split into ten glowing orbs, encircling him. With a slash of his sword, the orbs flew outward and formed a dome of darkness—a black void that nullified the senses of spiritual energy, sight, sound, and smell.

"Suzumushi Tsuishiki Enma Kōrogi."

Panic ensued.

(What the hell is this?)

(I can't hear anything!)

(I can't see anything!)

The entire inn was engulfed in a black dome. Friends or foes, nobody could see or hear anything, but everyone shared the same thought: 'Is this what it feels like to be blind and deaf at the same time?'

In a mare four seconds, the inn was plunged into silence and total darkness. The traitors clawed at their necks, gasping for air. When the dome dissipated, all 24 enemies lay on the ground, blood trickling from their necks.

Shinji, however, staggered slightly, his face pale. 'Damn it! This system is useless!'

"Princess, we need to run or hide immediately!" Shinji shouted, breaking everyone out of their daze.

"Stop right there! What was that?!" Galuge demanded, wary of Shinji's unknown power. He was ready to fight if necessary but was hesitant to face such an enigma.

Shinji opened his mouth to explain, but Veronica interrupted. "Shinji! Galus! Stop this! Let's get out of here first!"

The two knights nodded, doubting people were their first lesson but questioning their master was a taboo for a knight.

One knight guarded the door while the other helped carry the luggage with a maid. Another maid and Shinji guarded the Princess.

As they moved toward the carriage, Shinji leaned closer to Veronica and teased, "Say, Princess, how did you know my real name?"

Caught off guard, she stammered, "A… friend of mine told me. Quite bold of you, though, having… relations while your job is to guard the Princess."

Shinji chuckled. 'Hypocrisy much?' he thought, amused at her shameless attempt to hide her embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, Princess. Please thank Miss Ronika for her… delightful company," Shinji quipped, his tone mocking.

Veronica turned away, clearly flustered. "Ah… um… I-I will."

With that, they boarded the carriage. One knight rode alongside the horse, while another handled the reins. Shinji sat with Galuge in the carriage as they traveled toward the port city, hiding during the day and moving at night. The journey would take two days—a safer option than returning to the palace, which would take five.

During this trip, Shinji learned several things about his system.

The day he used Suzumushi Bankai, he realized that he lost the ability to use it again. It worked like a one-time wild card. From this, he concluded that his powers were limited to a single use, meaning he'd have to save them carefully or rely on basic Shikai releases instead.

The next day, he spun the system's reward wheel again.

Ding!

Reward: 1x Rukia's Bra

"What the hell am I supposed to do with an AAA cup-sized bra?" he muttered, completely dumbfounded.

The following day, he tried his luck once more.

Ding!

Reward: 1x Orihime's Bread

"Should I thank the gods for giving me food or curse the devil for tricking me into believing my luck?" Shinji sighed.

By the third day, their group reached the port city gates. Galuge, one of the knights, spoke with the gatekeeper, and they were granted entry without issue.

They hurried towards the ship docking area.

"Miss, from here, you can only move with one attendant. Take a maid and go enjoy your academy life," Galuge instructed Veronica.

No one was particularly worried about Veronica's safety. The ship she would be boarding was the academy's vessel, carrying royals and aristocrats exclusively. It was highly unlikely that anyone would dare to attack it. Moreover, the ship was protected by highly vetted teachers from multiple nations and empires.

Shinji felt uneasy as they prepared for departure. He had secretly been looking forward to experiencing school life in this fantasy world. Although his body was 18 years old, his soul was still only 15.

"Princess, can I join too?" he asked shamelessly.

"You…?" Veronica stared at him, puzzled, and the others around them were equally shocked by his request.

"Shinji, the Noblesse Academy is not a regular school. Only royals or nobles are allowed there. Even if a commoner gets in through a scholarship, they face heavy discrimination. You wouldn't survive even a month," Veronica explained worriedly.

'Hey, hey, don't talk like you've already experienced it,' Shinji thought. He'd read the novel and knew exactly what kind of school it was.

"Your words aren't entirely wrong," he admitted, "but they're only half-true. The pampered and spoiled children might bully scholarship students, but the intelligent, politically savvy prodigies will try to win them over. After all, scholarship students are bound to shine one day."

"Princess, you don't need to worry about me. I'll secure a scholarship myself, and I'll accompany you and protect you," he declared with confidence.

His words moved the knights, but the girls around him felt uneasy. 'Isn't that just a typical stalker?' they thought.

Veronica sighed in exasperation. "Do as you please. Just don't cause trouble…"

With that, Veronica, Shinji, and one maid boarded the ship together.
