Who is Playing the Love Development Game in Gundam

Chapter 320: Chapter 320: A Date Surrounded by a Dozen People

The fusion of the two mobile suits proceeded in an orderly manner.

Although Lowe was a Natural, his technical expertise was already at an S-level.

Yes, an S-level. It might sound unbelievable, but considering how he had managed to build so many attachments for the Astray, it would be stranger if he wasn't at an S-level.

"We could mount the suit's original wings onto the existing backpack wings."

Looking at the design in front of him, He Kui considered the options.

If they went with this modification, it would mean four pairs of wings, significantly boosting acceleration.

The thrusters detached from the shoulders could also be attached. The original TP armor could be fitted onto various parts of the suit as Strike Equipment attachments.

"With the remaining materials, we could craft a small shield for the arms, using TP armor, layered armor, and anti-beam coating."

"And that big plane? It was already barely clinging to your suit. If we add more wings, it might lose portability."

Lowe thought for a moment, then asked.

"We could turn it into a mobile turret."

"We don't need portability—just modify the mobile suit radar so it can receive remote control signals."

He Kui replied, already prepared for this suggestion.

"Ah, I see!"

With two pairs of wings, the suit would effectively become a miniaturized biplane.

The additional wings wouldn't significantly detract from its maneuverability.

Next, they just needed to convert the aircraft into an external weapon storage system that could be controlled remotely.

"But if it's going to be remote-controlled, we'll probably need quantum communication technology."

Lowe frowned slightly.

"For that, we'll have to rely on that item you picked up."

The Resurrection Gundam could combine its parts so quickly because it already incorporated quantum communication technology.

They already had the receivers, so now they only needed the Recycle Guild to help them whip up a transmitter, and the upgrades to the Strike would be complete.

"Amazing! Aegis has given me so many new ideas."

Looking at the nearly perfect design in his hands, even Lowe, with all his technical expertise, couldn't help but marvel.

This would be a fully upgraded Strike Rouge.

Though it was still in the design phase, Lowe was already excited.

"Just some ideas."

In terms of skill, the two of them were evenly matched, but He Kui's intuition, honed by his extensive experience with various Gundams, gave him a unique knack for upgrades.

"That's not true! Aegis is a genius!"

Standing nearby, Elena couldn't fully understand their conversation but was quick to refute He Kui's modesty.

"Indeed, Aegis is a genius."

Lowe nodded.

He couldn't shake the odd feeling he got around Aegis. Her upgrade style and thinking resembled that of someone he once met.

That person had shared all kinds of seemingly fantastical concepts with him back when they'd been in the desert. Lowe had never forgotten any of them.

Come to think of it, Aegis's movements often gave him a sense of incongruity.

It was hard to put into words, but she seemed more like one of his beloved machines than a real person—as if she were a highly advanced android.

"Anyway, I'd better unload this. I'll bring over that leg part soon, so I'll be counting on you, Aegis."

Lowe nodded to He Kui before leaving the hangar with Eight tucked under his arm.

"Eight, is that really a person?"

Carrying his toolkit, Lowe asked quietly. "There's some kind of shield. Ordinary equipment can't scan its internal structure."

"Some kind of field is interfering with my scans."

"Oh."

Getting no clear answer, Lowe put Eight aside.

Force fields weren't uncommon these days. With advanced technology, it was almost essential to wear one, lest an unwelcome scan leave you feeling exposed.

But the fact that this shield could block Eight's scans meant it was a particularly powerful field.

"Oh well, she's not a threat."

Even if Aegis were somehow actually He Kui, she was still helping him.

And Lowe had his uncanny luck.

If Aegis was He Kui, who happened to stumble across the Recycle Guild, then maybe He Kui was a part of that luck, too.

Shrugging, Lowe quickened his pace, hurrying to dismantle the large component and figure out what it was capable of.

Later, when Lowe brought over the leg component, He Kui kept his end of the deal. He gave Lowe a tour of the Resurrection's inner structure, explaining as much as he could. ZAFT's technology was all based on the same roots, after all.

Just a quick look, and he more or less understood the nature of this mobile suit.

After giving Lowe a brief rundown of the design, He Kui left him, still brimming with excitement and reluctance, and returned to the radar room.

Before he realized it, it was already night in the PLANTs.

The facility was quiet, with only the hum of machinery in the background.

The next day.

According to his arrangement with Lacus, He Kui arrived at the port of May City. The VIP lounge was empty save for He Kui and his party.

Iron Wall, Lica, and a squad of soldiers followed close behind him.

"So, uh…"

He Kui glanced back at the row of men in suits with a mix of exasperation and amusement.

"I even went to the trouble of changing my appearance. Are you really planning to follow me like this?"

Like all his outings, He Kui had dressed with care and taken every precaution.

This time, he hadn't gone with the bearded look but had transformed himself into a rather average Coordinator.

"It's for your safety, He Kui," Lica replied. She had also switched into a sleek suit, now wearing sunglasses.

"So, what exactly are you doing out here today?"

"You'll see soon enough."

He Kui adjusted the Owl reconnaissance drones with his wrist communicator, setting them to spread out around the area.

"But aren't you all a bit too conspicuous? Makes my disguise kind of pointless, doesn't it?"

Iron Wall and Lica exchanged glances.

"We'll keep watch from nearby."

Iron Wall saluted before he and Lica led their respective teams out of the VIP lounge.

He Kui shrugged.

Come to think of it, Lacus should have bodyguards with her too.

The thought of the two of them, each with a retinue of a dozen guards, made He Kui feel the pressure mounting.

Before he could dwell on it, though, a pink-haired figure entered the empty lounge.

Dressed in a sky-blue dress with a white lace collar, Lacus exuded an unparalleled charm. Her very presence seemed to fill the metallic, modern lounge with a warm, soft ambiance.

"He

Kui, have you been waiting long~?"

Her voice was as sweet as honey, almost bewitching, and her slightly curved smile looked like the work of an artisan.
