When "God" Decides To Start Over

"Stranger, why did you break in here?" The woman's voice came again.

Li Xiu could already determine that the woman's voice was coming from the second floor, and he hadn't seen her figure on the first floor.

Li Xiu still stood silently at the door, did not advance further, and after glancing around, he put his ear to the door, listening to the sounds outside.

"Sorry, I know it's impolite to talk to you like this, but I'm taking a bath and can't go down to entertain you yet. Guests are guests, there's wine and glasses in the wine cabinet on the first floor, along with a sofa and fireplace. You can have some wine, sit on the sofa to warm up, and I'll come down when I'm done bathing."

Li Xiu seemed to hear the sound of water faintly coming from the second floor, and could not help but imagine some blood-boiling scenes in his mind.

Luckily, although Li Xiu had some fantasies, it didn't prevent him from staying sane, as he still stood motionless at the door without speaking.

"What is this place, and who is the woman upstairs? That deceitful guy of an Unparalleled King didn't clarify anything." Li Xiu found it difficult to endure, as even though there was wine and a sofa to enjoy, he could only stand beside the door, not daring to move.

The woman spoke no more, seemingly really bathing, occasionally humming little tunes accompanied by the sound of water, making the images in one's mind even clearer.

Li Xiu multitasked with both mind and ears, dwelling on what kind of beautiful scene the second floor might be, while listening to the movements outside.

But soon, Li Xiu no longer had the mood to fantasize because he heard the sound of boots stepping on stone slabs.

The demonic spirit that lifted the city gate single-handedly seemed to be headed this way.

The sound of boots became louder and more rhythmic, Li Xiu could already hear clearly that it was almost at the outside of the stone house.

"It seems that guy is determined to kill me... Thankfully, I extracted some information from the Unparalleled King earlier, or else I'd be in grave danger this time. I need to find a way to level up quickly when I return or boost the levels of Jedi Knight and Demigod Shana, lest it's too perilous in the Land of Trial." As Li Xiu was thinking, he suddenly felt the door move slightly.

Li Xiu was taken aback, quickly stepping back a few paces, and then watched wide-eyed as the stone house's door was pushed open by a hand clad in black metal gloves.

"I'm screwed, that Unparalleled King is really a deceitful jerk. Didn't he say that once in this house, the demonic spirit outside couldn't possibly come in? How come it pushes open easily..." Li Xiu watched the demonic spirit walk in, his face turning a bit green.

He wasn't afraid, just aggravated by that Unparalleled King. It wasn't at all like what he had said.

After the demonic spirit entered the room, it merely glanced at Li Xiu, ignored him, and walked directly to the bar, taking a bottle of wine down from the wine cabinet, then casually picked up the corkscrew from the bar and opened the wine, grabbing a wine glass.

He acted as if he was very familiar with the place, walked directly to the sofa, sat down, put his boot-clad feet on the coffee table, and comfortably leaned on the sofa, drinking by himself.

Li Xiu was so frustrated that he even wanted to kill the Unparalleled King, seeing how familiar the demonic spirit was with the house, it was likely this was his lair.

That moronic Unparalleled King had guided him to take refuge in someone else's home.

"Care for a drink?" After two glasses, the demonic spirit suddenly looked towards Li Xiu, raised the wine bottle, and said.

At this stage, Li Xiu felt that if he continued following the way taught by that moronic Unparalleled King, there might be no way out.

So he didn't care anymore, walked directly to the bar, took a glass, went to the sofa to sit down, raised the glass to the mysterious demonic spirit and said, "Thank you."

The demonic spirit chuckled, his pair of beautiful eyes squinting into a crescent shape, lifted the wine bottle and poured the blood-like liquid into Li Xiu's glass, then said, "Though this wine is not strong, it's quite wild."

Li Xiu didn't understand what "wild" meant, but at this stage, sticking one's neck out was the same as pulling it back, he couldn't even beat one of the guy's hands, might as well do what he wanted.

Li Xiu was not in a hurry, raised his glass, took a taste, couldn't tell the flavor, not like any common Earth wine.

Earlier, Li Xiu thought it was red wine, only to find it wasn't after tasting it. The wine was indeed not strong, smoothly mellow, with a floral fragrance, effortlessly swallowed down.

After the wine went down, Li Xiu couldn't help but shiver, his stomach seemed to have an electric current coursing through his entire body, stimulating his whole blood flow to accelerate, his heart pounding hard, his face immediately flushed.

Li Xiu gulped down the remaining wine in his glass, immediately feeling his blood surge, his body indescribably comfortable, the accelerated heartbeat indeed quite thrilling: "This wine is interesting, what's its name?"

"Blood Rose." The demonic spirit toyed with the glass in his hand, watching Li Xiu with great interest.

"Another glass please." Li Xiu raised his glass to the demonic spirit again.

"Are you sure? This wine is not meant for humans to drink, drinking too much will lead to death." The demonic spirit smiled, squinting at Li Xiu as he spoke.
