What the hell is making games in the Ninja World?

Chapter 77: Chapter 65.2 : Rumors!!

"No, I need to prepare in advance. If Tsunade's hemophobia really breaks out, I need to find a way to help her recover," Uchiha Kai muttered to himself, frowning deeply as he thought.

Seeing Kai suddenly become so serious, the girl beside him, Uzumaki Kikyo, noticed and asked with concern, "Kai, what's wrong?"

Uchiha Kai snapped out of his thoughts, then shook his head. "It's nothing. I was just thinking about how to treat someone with hemophobia."

Uzumaki Kikyo was taken aback, then tilted her head cutely. "Hemophobia? Uh, Kai, is this a setting you're adding to a character in your new game?"

In recent days, Uzumaki Kikyo and Uchiha Kai's relationship had slowly grown warmer. The enthusiastic Kikyo often came to find Kai, and during their interactions, they frequently discussed the Genjutsu game.

Uchiha Kai had a somewhat blunt and straightforward personality, often discussing work and business with girls.

If this were on Earth, he'd probably be mocked on social media as a typical "straight-laced guy."

However, Kikyo, as a "hidden gem," didn't have such fantasies. On the contrary, she was very happy to listen to Kai talk about these things.

It made Kikyo feel happy and at ease, as if she was able to support Kai and be by his side.

This feeling made Kikyo feel incredibly blessed and hopeful that this would always be the case in her life.

So, when Uchiha Kai suddenly mentioned hemophobia, Kikyo naturally thought of the game settings. She had heard too much from Uchiha Kai's mouth about things that seemed outlandish and dreamlike from the perspective of a girl.

When Kikyo questioned him, Uchiha Kai responded indifferently, "Sort of, I'm just thinking about how to treat hemophobia."

Kikyo frowned in distress. "This should be in the medical ninja's area, right? Although I've studied some medical ninjutsu, I have no experience with this kind of illness."

"This rare psychological illness might only be treatable by someone like Lady Tsunade, a medical master," Uchiha Kikyo replied.

Upon hearing this, Uchiha Kai's face twitched, and he had the urge to complain but held it back.

Just then, both Uchiha Kai and Kikyo's attention was drawn to a group of gossiping women chatting by the roadside.

These women were discussing something related to the Uchiha clan and the recently popular genjutsu game. They were speaking in great detail, claiming the genjutsu game was an evil tool created by the Uchiha to control people's minds and thoughts.

According to them, anyone who played the game would unknowingly become a puppet completely controlled by the Uchiha.

The women fully used their gossiping and rumor-spreading talents, confidently stating that this was the truth.

Some even claimed to have seen their neighbors, friends, family, and other ninja they knew become addicted to the genjutsu game, forgetting their duties and only playing it all day. Clearly, they had been controlled by the game.

When they reached this point, the women looked fearful, as if they had discovered a terrifying secret and were afraid of being silenced if they were caught.

Uchiha Kai was left speechless, and Kikyo, after her initial shock, showed an expression of anger and injustice.

"What? How can they say such nonsense? Controlled by the genjutsu game? The ninjas addicted to the game are just using it to train and improve their skills!"

"No! We need to confront them and stop these rumors!"

With that, Kikyo was ready to go and argue with the women.

As a member of the Uzumaki clan, who had a fiery side in her DNA, if she couldn't win the verbal argument, she wouldn't hesitate to settle it physically.

After all, not everyone was as patient as the Konoha's White Fang, who would tolerate the complaints of ordinary civilians.

If these civilians wanted to criticize her for a physical confrontation, she would make them understand why people outside of Konoha didn't dare even look a ninja in the eye.

In the end, Kikyo did not step forward to join the gossiping aunties in the Royal City PK.

It wasn't that Uchiha Kai stopped her, but at that moment, another aunt joined the gossip group.

This new aunt was clearly from the Nara clan. She wore the Nara clan's insignia on her clothes and immediately issued a warning:

"Hey, hey, hey, don't speak without knowing the truth. Be careful or the Konoha Interrogation Force might mistake you for a spy and arrest you."

Upon hearing this, the gossiping aunties were momentarily stunned and then felt a little scared, but still grumbled in dissatisfaction. They had only discussed things everyone was talking about, so why should they be treated like spies?

The Nara aunt wore a smug expression, as if to say, "I told you, but you're still arguing," and said: "If this genjutsu game were really a problem, would the Hokage allow Uchiha to release it to the outside world? Impossible! That's the Hokage we're talking about!"

"In fact, this genjutsu game is part of a bigger plan by Konoha's higher-ups. It is the result of a collaboration between the Hokage and the Uchiha clan, all to make Konoha continue to prosper."

"Everything is for the greater good of Konoha."

Upon hearing this, the gossiping aunties were suddenly enlightened and showed expressions of admiration—no wonder it was the Hokage, everything he did was for Konoha.

Then one of them asked, puzzled: "If that's the case, then the genjutsu game is indeed a good thing, but we were just talking about it, why should we be treated as spies?"

The other gossiping aunties nodded in agreement, unable to accept this development.

The Nara aunt looked at them with disdain: "You guys don't even think properly. Who would slander something that benefits Konoha? It must be spies from other countries!"

"I've heard that recently there have been many rumors badmouthing the genjutsu game and the Uchiha clan. Obviously, this is the work of spies, because only enemies of the village would not want the village to improve! And you, spreading private rumors about the Uchiha clan and the genjutsu game, aren't you just doing exactly what the enemies would want to see? You can expect to be arrested as spies by the Anbu!"

The group of older women appeared enlightened after hearing the news, but soon each of them felt a sense of fear, followed by anger.

What a group of treacherous and sly enemies from outside the village, using them to spread rumors about such an important genjutsu game for Konoha, even involving the Uchiha clan, Konoha's largest clan—this was truly unforgivable!

They had almost been framed as spies, which was just too despicable!
