Warhammer: Saiyan Adopted by the Wolf King

"Is it really as you said? Can Ki strengthen the soul? Then those Custodians you've enhanced, and even myself, does that mean our souls have been strengthened as well?" Kasha asked as she walked beside Axis.

Normally, the Custodians should never have any psychic talent. 

When they dealt with psykers, they would be accompanied by a Sister of Silence, whose blank presence could effectively insulate them from Warp powers.

But if their souls were strengthened, then in theory, these Custodians would have even greater resistance to the Warp. 

There was even a slim chance that, with a powerful enough soul, they might be able to draw on some Warp energy and directly become psykers.

As for her, the benefits would be even greater.

A powerful soul would allow her to draw more energy from the Warp and filter all of it into the Emperor's kind of golden psychic power.

"I'm not sure about that! I've only been reinforcing those Custodians for a few months at most.

"Their souls don't seem to show any outstanding traits. As for you, we have plenty of time ahead; we can gradually adapt," Axis replied as he walked.

The soul and the body were entirely different. 

His own soul was constantly nurtured and strengthened by Ki, whereas those Custodians had only a portion of his Ki circulating through their bodies.

And besides, the structure of the human soul in this world was different from that of the Dragon Ball universe. 

Axis couldn't be sure they would gain psychic power at all.

"What about your two Saibamen? They also possess the ability to use Ki. Does that mean they have their own souls, like you?" Kasha asked.

The question made Axis's eyes light up!

That's right! He still had two Saibamen. 

The seeds of these Saibamen had been brought over from the Dragon Ball world!

Did these two Saibamen also possess souls like his?

"Guess we'll take a look!"

Axis started walking faster, forcing Kasha to half sprint to keep up pace.

At that moment, the two Saibamen in the training room were undergoing their daily exercises.

Axis wasn't sure whether their Ki possessed any capacity for growth.

He could only have them perform some Dragon Ball-style training, mainly physical workouts and sparring matches, to see whether their Ki could be enhanced.

Because Dou's power was comparatively greater, he usually held back his strength when sparring with the first Saibaman.

Upon seeing Axis arrive, both Saibamen immediately stood at attention, bowed deeply, and addressed him.

"At ease. I'm going to run an experiment on the two of you. Relax and don't resist.

"Remember, soon, you need to focus all your psychic power into your eyes and circulate your Ki throughout your bodies. Understood?" Axis instructed.

"I understand, Master! Please don't worry!" Dou nodded, and the first Saibaman let out a couple of enthusiastic cries as well.

"Let's begin, Kasha."

Axis nodded at Kasha, and she immediately raised her staff, releasing a wave of powerful psychic energy, guiding the two Saibamen into a state of psychic sight.

Then, everyone went over to stand before a mirror that could reflect psychic visions. 

This time, both Axis and Kasha were slightly disappointed, there were no golden halos above the Saibamen's heads.

As for their souls, after being augmented by Axis's Ki, Kasha could distinctly sense that their souls, projected in the Warp, were stronger than those of ordinary humans, but had yet to reach the level of a true psyker.

"Axis, they're different from you. Their souls exist within the Warp's Sea of Souls.

"The brightness is greater than that of normal humans, not even weaker than some latent psykers!" Kasha commented.

Axis nodded in response, signaled for Kasha to withdraw her psychic power.

"It seems you really are unique. Your soul and body are completely unified.

"Even my father, the Emperor, wouldn't be able to discover this without examining you with your Ki. But these two greensk– I mean, Saibamen, doesn't seem to be so" Kasha observed.

Axis was indeed very special. 

That golden halo was definitely no ordinary thing, it emanated a powerful sense of sacredness, entirely different from the chaotic and evil presence found in the Warp.

"I have a theory! There might be two reasons why their souls haven't turned out like mine," Axis said.

"Oh? I'm interested," Kasha raised an eyebrow.

"I'll explain when we get back," Axis turnied to the two sibaman, "For now, your training will continue as usual.

"Each day, you must also focus training your Ki control, sit cross-legged and continuously allow your Ki to nourish your bodies, that'll do as basic training."

The two Saibamen nodded respectfully to Axis and Kasha, seeing them off with great deference.

Once they returned to their room, Kasha looked at Axis with curiosity, eager to hear his theories.

"My first guess is that Ki really can strengthen the soul, but the process is very slow.

"Second, these two creatures have only just been born for less than a month. 

"So, while their souls are a bit stronger than ordinary people's, it's not by much, certainly not enough for them to possess a golden halo like mine.

"In short, let's have them focus on cultivating their Ki for now. After some time, we'll observe them again and see if any new changes appear. That way, we can confirm our theory," Axis explained.

Kasha nodded, agreeing with Axis's assessment.

After all, these two little green monsters had only recently been born; they still needed more time to grow before anything could be confirmed.

Who knew if they would eventually develop that same sacred golden halo above their heads as Axis had?

"At the same time, I'll keep using Ki to nourish your body too. We'll see if your soul undergoes any changes. If it does, you should be able to sense it, right?" Axis said.

"I should be. I'm an powerful psyker. I'll notice even the slightest difference in my soul, much less it's overall strength," Kasha replied.

As a top-level psyker, even the tiniest fluctuation in her soul would be immediately perceptible to her.

Axis nodded. 

In truth, there was something he hadn't told Kasha, a theory he kept to himself.

The reason these two Saibamen hadn't developed a soul like his, or obtained an angelic halo, fundamentally came down to the fact that they weren't born in the Dragon Ball world. 

Axis had been born in the Dragon Ball universe, only crossing over into the Warhammer world after five years.

Naturally, he possessed the soul-state unique to the Dragon Ball universe. But these two Saibamen were born in the Warhammer universe.

Once born, their souls would naturally conform to the structure of the Warhammer universe, manifesting as a projection within the Warp.

Now, Axis was about seventy percent certain that Ki could strengthen the soul.

However, just how strong that effect was, or whether one could use another person's Ki to reinforce a soul, still couldn't be conclusively determined 

It required more experiments.

"Kasha, if I want to use psychic power, do you have any good suggestions?" Axis asked.

"That's hard to say. Logically, with your soul being so powerful, as long as you can form a projection within the Warp, you should be able to manipulate psychic power with ease.

"Your golden halo could even have a purifying effect, transforming the chaotic Warp energy into something sacred. But all of this is just my speculation," Kasha replied.

The only reason she could wield sacred psychic power was because of her soul having been touched by a trace of the Emperor's essence.

Whenever she drew power from the Warp, her soul could purify all that Warp energy.

As for the halo above Axis's head, it radiated an overwhelming sense of holiness, an absolute force of order!

There was a very high chance that, like herself and the Emperor, Axis could draw energy from the Warp, purify it, and then release it in a sacred form.

But all of this hinged on Axis's soul being able to form a projection within the Warp.

If there was no Warp projection, then it would be impossible to channel Warp energy into the physical body to use psychic power.

So, in truth, there was no solution, not one she could think of. Maybe her father, the Emperor, could help.

Maybe even Magnus. 

If his research into sorcery was deep enough, perhaps he could help Axis form a soul projection in the Warp.

Clearly, this trip to Prospero to meet Magnus was going to be extremely important. 

Axis had a lot to consider!

"Kasha, when we meet Magnus, don't reveal too much about my situation. Leave all the explaining to me, understand?" Axis said.

Axis was not so trusting of Magnus. 

Even before the betrayal, Magnus had made deals with the Chaos Gods, he had even sacrificed one of his own eyes. Who knew if it had happened yet?

It was said he'd sacrificed the eye to find a way to cure his gene-seed mutation, but in the end, the mutations of the Thousand Sons remained irreversible. 

In fact, Professor Ahriman's experiments had resulted in the Rubric Marines, hollow warriors in red armor.

"I understand, Axis," Kasha nodded.

Two days later, the Space Wolves fleet led by Russ successfully navigated to a safe region of the Warp, finally escaping the dangerous storms.

After that, Axis and Russ gathered a group of Space Wolf Astartes, preparing to enhance them using the power of Ki!

This time, the Ki enhancement would be performed by Axis himself.
