In the classroom, the teacher was telling the students about the history of the country. Norton, who already knew everything about the country's history, found it dull and at least wanted to sleep through it. When school finally ended, Norton exchanged a knowing glance with Gwen. Gwen led the way since Peter was working as an assistant to the biology professor; the first thing he did after school was to find Kurt Connors.

"Dr. Connors, here I come," Peter announced.

"Oh, how is Peter doing today?" Connors greeted Peter with a smile. Thanks to Peter's arrival, the progress of his experiment was much faster than before.

"Not bad, Dr. Connors. I was invited by Betty to have dinner at her house." Peter's face lit up with a smile. However, Connors' smile froze when he heard this. He replied, "Peter, you have to go to Oscorp with me tonight. I have made an appointment for you."

"No problem, Dr. Connors, I will go with you," Peter agreed. His character made it hard for him to refuse others, and he believed that Betty would understand, at least he hoped so.

"Really? That's good." Connors smiled again. After all, it was not easy to secure a spot for Peter since he wasn't part of the school-organized visiting team. Connors went to great lengths to give Peter this opportunity.

"Okay, let's start today's experiment," Connors said.

"Yes, Dr. Connors," Peter responded.

Meanwhile, Norton was leisurely drinking coffee and enjoying the scenery of New York with Gwen. The scenery was a bit strange; a gangster was passionately shooting at the police, but considering this was the U.S., everything made sense.

"It's not peaceful in New York right now, is it, Norton?" Gwen remarked while sipping her coffee. Norton felt disdainful of the situation because he saw it as petty. Compared to the extraordinary events that happened later, this shootout was nothing more than play.

"Yeah, maybe one day a hero will descend from the sky to save the world," he mused.

"Hehehe, what are you dreaming in broad daylight? These things only happen in comics; they can't exist in reality," Gwen laughed, taking Norton's words as a joke, which was understandable.

Just as the two were talking and laughing, a familiar voice sounded.

"Oh, look who we have here! My lovely daughter and her little boyfriend are out on a date," George said with a smile as he approached. He had just been on a mission, and dealing with a few gangsters was easy for their experienced policemen. Although they sometimes arrived late, George always found time to tease his daughter and her soon-to-be boyfriend after finishing official duties.

"Dad!" Gwen blushed and quickly pulled George's arm to let him sit on the sofa.

"Uncle George," Norton greeted.

"Okay, I'm here to remind you, your mother cooked some good dishes today, so let Norton come with you."

"But Dad, Norton and I still have to visit the Osborn industry, and we will probably come home later," Gwen expressed her concerns, while hoping that Norton and she could spend the night together.

George, unaware of his daughter's thoughts, proudly pointed his thumb at himself and said, "I definitely know this, so I asked your mother to adjust the dinner time later. I'll wait for you to come back, and we'll have a meal together."

"Do you have time tomorrow?"

"Definitely."

Seeing that Norton had no objection, Gwen could only acquiesce.

"That's good." After finishing speaking, George got up and prepared to leave. Before leaving, he said, "I have to go back to the police station to deal with those little thieves. Take your time."

"Oh my god, Daddy's an idiot!"

After George left, Gwen rolled her eyes, then lay down on the table and let out a cry of disappointment. Norton smiled, knowing very well why George would do this. He was just afraid of what would happen if they stayed out too late. Although he admitted Norton as a future boyfriend, in George's point of view, these are things that can only be done after marriage. George protected her so well that Gwen hadn't been close to the opposite sex since she was a child. As for other people, they just had to look at the police badge.

"Okay, your dad is doing this for your own good."

Gwen waved her hand and said, "I don't want to talk about this now, let's go shopping."

Norton could only helplessly stand up and then bent his arm to reveal a large gap.

"I would love to, my beautiful lady."

Shopping was clearly in a woman's nature. After a short time shopping, they had nearly eight bags of clothes. Although Gwen bought half of them for him, Norton had to accept them.

"Look, Norton, this sweater is so pretty!"

When Norton saw it, he was a little surprised. It was a white and pink sweater, and the lower half of the sweater was black. He was very familiar with this color scheme. Especially when Gwen wore the sweater, he almost thought she had turned into Spider Gwen. Seeing Norton looking at her with fascination, Gwen felt sweet in her heart.

"I'm buying this one!"
