[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor

A second rocket flew by and hit the gate, blowing up and damaging the gate even further.

"!"

"Sir! The gate can't take any more hits like that! Please do something!" – said the nervous elven soldier.

"I'M THINKING! SHUT UP!" – shouted the elven captain.

(Think! Think!)

(We can't let these explosive projectiles keep hitting the gate or it will collapse at this rate, but we also can't confront the monsters head-on, now that we know that they are infected.)

(If a single soldier gets infected and we wouldn't notice that, then we risk the plague spreading inside the city!)

(But how do we go there without-)

"!"

"CALL THE TREE GLIDERS! NOW!" – shouted the elven captain.

"…"

(Huh…. They are still…. They are still not attacking?) – thought surprised Thanatos while holding her rocket launcher that was emitting the smoke.

(Holy shit.)

(At this rate, that gamble will win! Honestly, I was hesitant, since the plan had 50% at working….. But I guess I was worrying for nothing.)

(…. The gun overheat is about to end and I will be able to fire…..?)

(Oh, they are coming.) – thought Thanatos as she spotted something leaping off the elven walls.

A squad of the giant flying squirrels that were being ridden on by the elves were jumping off the walls and started gilding above the battlefield, flying above all the monsters without getting bothered, while heading towards the forest.

"…"

(Giant flying squirrels squad, also known as Tree Gilders.) – thought Thanatos while using her telescope to see the flying enemies.

(I've never seen them before in action, but I heard about them from Phantasia as well as from the local elves.)

(Pretty much….. Giant flying squirrels…That is it.)

(They use them as mounts to fly through the forest or climb up the trees.)

(So instead of opening the gates, they are sending these guys towards me?)

(…. Meh. Good plan.) – thought Thanatos, as the flying squad was about to reach the forest.

(But unfortunately for them, I was ready for this.) – thought Thanatos as the flying squad entered the forest and started gliding through it, trying to find Hunter.

"!"

"There!" – shouted the elven squirrel rider as he spotted Hunter on the ground.

"GET THEM!"

"DON'T LET- "

The elves began heading towards Hunter, trying to stop her from firing another rocket, but as soon as they gotten too close, several flying demons and angel monsters appeared, ambushing the squad.

"!?"

(An ambush!?) – thought the elven rider.

(Shit! We got baited!)

"TCH!"

"AIM FOR THAT PERSON! HE MUST BE THE ONE WHO CONTROLS THESE MONSTERS AND FIRE THOSE ATTACKS!" – shouted the elven rider, ordering his other comrades to go after Hunter, even though they were just ambushed.

The flying squirrel riders flew straight towards Hunter, trying to eliminate her in order to put an end to the attack…..

However, as they flew towards her, two figures suddenly appeared right next to the Thanatos.

"!?"

"WHAT?! BUT HE SHOULDN'T BE- "

"…"

"Do you see anything?" – asked the elven captain.

"There appears to be something fighting but-?!"

"ANOTHER ATTACK INCOMING!" – shouted the elven soldier with a telescope as he saw the third rocket coming and then hitting the gate.

"?!"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE IDIOTS DOING!? WHY THE HELL ATTACKS ARE KEEP COMING?!" – shouted the elven captain in fear and fury.

"I don't know! There are no signal flares coming or anything!" – replied a terrified elven soldier with a telescope.

(What is going on?! They should had dealt with the problem already, if not just stopped the enemy from launching any more attacks!) – thought panicking elven captain.

"HEY! HOW MANY UNDEADS ARE THERE LEFT?!" – shouted the elven captain.

"Not many, sir! We are about to wipe them out!" – said the elven archer as the undeads that were attacking the gate had been drastically reduced, leaving only a few undead monsters left.

"!"

(Good! Then at this rate we will wipe out the undeads and then open up-)

"!"

"SIR! THERE IS AN ANOTHER WAVE OF MONSTERS COMING OUR WAY!" - shouted the elven soldier.

"!?"

"WHAT?! THIRD?!" – the elven captain took away once again the soldier's telescope and looked towards the forest, spotting an army of demons and angels running straight towards the city.

"?!"

"WAIT! THOSE ARE NOT UNDEADS!" – shouted the elven captain.

"!"

(Wait! Did they opened the gate for the enslaved?!)

(Shit! This isn't good! We need to…. Wait…. What if those enslaved are also infected?!)

(What if they would also turn into undeads as soon as they died?!)

(There is also the fact that some of them appear to have an ability to fly!)

(….)

"FOCUS ON TAKING DOWN THE FLYING ENEMIES FIRST! THEY MAYBE INFECTED AS WELL! DON'T LET THE ENEMY GET NEAR US AT ALL!"

(This is a trap! They want us to think that we need to open up the gates or the enemy will get in!)

The elves opened fire at the angels and demons, taking them down before they could get close to the walls, but obviously many of the enslaved fired back using divine and demonic magic, resulting in some elven archers getting hit.

However, as they focused on the demons and angels, a fourth rocket came flying, hitting the gate and almost demolishing it.

"!"

"SIR! THE GATE IS AT THE BRINK OF DESTRUCTION! ONE MORE HIT LIKE THAT AND THE GATE WILL END UP BEING DESTROYED!" – shouted the elven soldier.

"!?"

(Shit! What the hell is going on?! Why the hell haven't we heard…. Anything…..What?) – thought the confused elven captain as he saw something leaping off the trees and then flying towards the city walls, alarming the elven captain, that quickly used the telescope to see who was approaching.

"!"

(Flying Trees?! Why are they retreating?! I TOLD THEM TO-)

"!?"

The elven captain used his telescope to look closer at the elven rider…. Only to notice that the elves and their squirrel companions had all been turned into undeads and were right now flying towards the city.

"!"

"THE FLYING TREES HAVE BEEN KILLED!" – shouted the elven captain.

"THEY ARE UNDEADS NOW! SHOT THEM DOWN!" – shouted the elven captain, terrifying the archers that had taken aim against their comrades, and started firing.

"SHIT!"

"CALL FOR THE REINFORCMENTS! NOW!" – shouted the elven captain to the messenger.

"IT WAS NOT A DISTRACTION! I FUCKING REPEAT! IT WAS NEVER A DISTRACTION!"

The elven messenger had already started running away, trying to reach the main army.

However, the organization's assault was merciless.

The elves were panicking for two reasons.

If even one enemy gets in, it could possibly result in the plague spreading around.

And the second problem was that the city gate was already at the brink of destruction.

However, there was a hope.

The messenger.

As soon as the reinforcements come, the enemy won't be able to get in…. Or so the elven capitan thought, as his hope disappeared right in front of his eyes upon seeing an fifth and last rocket flying towards the gates, hitting them and then blowing up, resulting in the gate being torn down by the explosion and path being opened for the group.

"!?"

"THE GATE HAVE BEEN BREACHED!" – shouted the elven soldier.

"…."

"Well then…. I think it is time." – said Hunter as she started packing up her weapon.

"Hey. Are the things ready on your end?"

"Yea. They are ready."

"SHIT! ALL FORCES! PROTECT THE GATE! DON'T LET ANY ENEMY INSIDE!" – shouted the elven captain.

"SINGLA FLARE! FUCKING SEND OUT SIGNAL FLARE NOW! THE QUEEN NEEDS TO KNOW THAT THE GATES HAVE BEEN BREACHED!"

(Shit! I really didn't wanted to use the flare, since it would also hint our enemies about our status, but right now we cannot delay it anymore! We can't let these infected monsters inside!)

"!"

"CAPITAN! THERE IS SOMETHING COMING FROM THE FOREST! AND IT'S MOVING FAST!" – shouted the elven archer.

"!"

In the distance, a massive motorcycle bike with thick spiked wheels and heavy armor was making its way towards.

"!"

"TAKE DOWN THE FAST MOVING ENEMY! NOW!" – shouted the elven captain, causing the elven mages to summon their spirits and start preparing the spells, before then firing them at the fast moving vehicle.

However, the vehicle managed to either tank not direct attacks, dodge the bigger ones or have the person inside deploy barriers of bones and flesh, blocking the more deadly attacks.

The vehicle wasn't stopping at all….. And before long, it had reached the destroyed gate, entering the city.

"!?"

"ENEMY MANAGED TO GET INSIDE! DON'T LET HIM ANY FURTHER!" – shouted the elven soldier on the ground that surrounded the area around the gate, blocking the vehicle's path and forcing it to stop.

"…"

"Welp, I guess this is it." – said the voice as the party of the vehicle started opening up and moments later, three figures jumped out of it.

Thanatos was one of the figures….. But the two other figures alarmed and confused the army.

"?!"

"The hell is going on!?" – said the elven soldier.

"Wasn't he supposed to be at the frontlines?!"

"What the hell Doctor is doing here?!" – said the elven knight as he spotted both Doctor in his much smaller form alongside Maparapara who instantly took on her true form after leaving the vehicle.

"Sup bitches." – said Doctor.

"Didn't expected that, did you?"
