Chapter 60- Counter attack!

Grey waited for sometime before it was Ange's turn to fight. When she went up stage, her opponent looked at her with cold arrogance. He snorted and the match started in earnest!

Ange's opponent spread out his hands and started to create hand seals. The hand seal was completed in a short time and hand suddenly appeared. By that time, Ange had also completed her own hand seal as a yellow talisman appeared.

She threw the talisman and it transformed into a long yellow whip. The yellow whip advanced and headed towards the hand. The arrogant young man was unperturbed. He created another hand seal and pointed down.

Suddenly, a earthen hand shot up from the ground and grabbed the whip. By the long whip flicked and flogged the hand. The earthen hand crumbled, but it had already stopped the acceleration of Ange's whip.

The hand appeared in the next second before it tried to grab the whip. But Ange released the spell and the whip turned back into the yellow talisman.

Because this change was too sudden, the hand couldn't react in time and missed the chance to grab it. Then Ange created hand signs again and the yellow talisman transformed into a knife about the same size of the hand.

At this same time, she also rushed towards the arrogant young man. There was a cold glint in her eyes as a bronze spear appeared in her hands. The young man snorted before he also rushed out to Ange as well. A short rusty dagger appeared in his hand, but the dagger emitted some spirit energy fluctuations. So, Ange could tell that it certainly not an ordinary dagger.

So while Ange's yellow knife and the huge hand fought for dominance, Ange and the arrogant young man fought as well.

'Ding'

This sound could be heard as Ange pulled her bronze spear in defense as she flew back and retreated. The arrogant young man did not waver, he continued to chase after Ange.

Each time his dagger struck forth, it seemed to disappear at the ast moment. Making it unpredictable for her to guess where it would hit. And aside from that, the arrogant young man was in the ninth stage of Qi accumulation.

Just one more stage from the tenth level and he could break through to the next realm. Ange was only in the seventh level, so she was suffering to block each blow.

The bronze spear accumulated some scratches while Ange was forced back repeatedly. Her hands were trembling from the heavy dagger strikes, but she did not stop block them.

A strange glint shone in her eyes at that moment, but she didn't do anything.

On the sidelines Grey was looking at Ange with a strange expression on his face. From what he knew, she was still hiding her real prowess. If she brought out her cauldron and soul refined pills, she would definitely not be on the defensive.

But Grey guessed she was doing the same thing he did. Grey did not use his full prowess either. He did not bother to disperse poison, or use the full power of Dragon eyes. And he had not used the ancient sword art which he had comprehended.

If he had, the match wouldn't have ended that way. But that was because he was a little confident that he could do fine without them. Relying just on his skill. But he could not say the same about Ange though.

If her opponent was in a slightly lower level, then she wouldn't have any problems. But he was in the ninth level, just nearing the tenth level! After that he could break through to the next realm. She was fighting a future Foundation Establishment expert.

But although all this was happening in earnest, he did not believe that Ange would lose. At the very least she was still biding her time until she erupted. He concluded and continued to watch the match.

The arrogant young man, after sensing that time would soon be up, he decided to pour all his power into his attacks and eliminate Ange immediately.

Another dagger suddenly appeared in his other hand as well. He stomped his foot and suddenly, rocks flew up. He created several hands seals before pointing at Ange inwardly.

The floating rocks flew towards their targets immediately with speed that you would have to be wary of.

But Ange saw all of these with a calm expression on her face. She clutched the bronze spear and stabbed at the incoming boulders. When stabbed by her spear, the boulders would crumble. But she was also forced back to retreat continuously until she was nearing the edge of the stage.

Her opponent, seemingly glad, rushed out like a madman. His speed was much faster than before, he finally gave it all he had and used his full power.

One of the dagger in his hand looked corporeal and realistic, but sometimes shuttling between disappearing and appearing.

The other dagger looked ghostly. It did not seen corporeal and looked ethereal, like it did not exist in the first place. With the two daggers in hand, he appeared before Ange in a flash.

His two daggers had already been ready to slash out. Although there was no rule about killing your opponent, it did not matter if you injured them anyway.

Although you could be punished if you outright killed someone, the worst you could get would be to be expelled out of Sky Mist academy. Or just pay a heavy fine.

Luckily, the arrogant youth did not have any intentions of killing Ange. Neither did Ange have any to kill him, but they could severely injure themselves.

As the daggers were coming closer to her face, and with no place to dodge, Ange suddenly reached into her storage bag and brought out a brown cauldron.

There was a strange glint in Grey's eyes at that moment because this was not the same cauldron that Ange aed when they were fighting the Shadow sect members. It was a smaller version. Or the normal version he could say.

Actually, pill cauldrons were not as tall as three meters. This one that Ange brought out at the moment could pass for any ordinary cauldron.

The arrogant youth's dagger struck the cauldron but no scratch appeared on it. Instead, he was visible shaken as he trembled and retreated back several steps.

His face turned pale and he spat out blood.

"A treasure created by Foundation Establishment!" He shouted out loud but Ange ignored his shout and started her own counter attack.

With her offense being the bronze spear, she managed to push back the arrogant youth while blocking the boulders as well. Her brown cauldron would appear in front of her whenever he attacked.

"If you had this cauldron since, why didn't you use it!" The arrogant youth was no longer arrogant. It was clear that he did not expect this seemingly easy match to turn out this way. But Ange did not answer him. She poured all her focus into this match and did not seem to want to be distracted. The arrogant young man bit his lip, he no longer in control of this match as he had been in the beginning.

Instead of being the one pushing her back, it was the opposite. And he couldn't even attack her because the brown cauldron would appear in front of her each time.

He looked to the other side of the stage and saw the hand that was fighting against the yellow talisman on the losing end. The hand already had several scratches and it was clear that it soon lose. Once it did, he would take a backlash and his fighting capabilities would deteriorate.

Right as he was in the middle of a decision and thought about bringing out his full strength. The time ran out. Ange had managed to survive for ten minutes!

With a look of disbelief on his face, the arrogant young man walked down from the stage. Soon, he was teleported out of the area. The seals that he had done before was put to an end.

Ange was panting heavily as she sat on the stage. The yellow knife turned back into the yellow talisman which she put in her pocket, while the cauldron went back into her storage bag.

But despite few minutes passing by she was not teleported out of the area as well. With a pensive expression, she calmly walked over to her team. Her face was slightly pale and her breathing haggard but her expression was still calm. Zayne gave thumb's up while Sylvia smiled softly at her. Alice did not say anything, instead she focused her gaze on the next match.

Everyone saw that Ange had performed wonderfully. She had held back her strength and only used it in the last minute because she did not want to give her opponent time to adapt.

She had fought against him for several minutes, so she was getting used to his relentless daggers. But for him, how could he get over the shock the cauldron brought.

That cauldron could be called a treasure since it was made by a strong expert in the Foundation Establishment realm. No attacks below Foundation Establishment could greatly harm it. That's why it got off without any scratches.

But if he was given enough time to think and adapt, he would surely find a way around it. That's why Ange used it at the last moment, not only that, using such a treasure was bound to drain her spirit energy and mental strength as well.

'All in all, it was a very good counter attack!' Grey said to himself inwardly.
