Chapter 59- Throw in

Grey heard these whispers but decided to ignore them. They did not anything to pose a threat to him... yet. But if he finds a malicious intent, he would kill immediately. Yes, he was that desicive!

Grey calmly walked to the stage. He's gaze was detached and nonchalant, but his eyes very determined. When he got on stage, he looked to the other side and saw his opponent.

His opponent was a young girl with purple hair. She had a bored expression on her face until she saw Grey. Her lips then curled into a mischievous grin as she said.

"Oh, Grey hair, grey eyes and deadpan expression. You must be Grey. I heard a lot of things you did, hehe." She said mischeviously but Grey only nodded his head and then spoke.

"Purple hair, violet eyes and mischievous grin, you must be violet right?" Grey said mockingly. The mischievous smile was wiped off her face. She no longer looked at Grey bored but a strange glimmer was in her eyes.

"I wonder why in the name anybody would name their child after a color?" She said. The M|V|LE&MPYR team worked hard on this chapter.

"I wonder why you named yourself after a... Never mind, let's just fight!" He was not used to arguing with girls. Especially after trivial matters. His plan was simple, go up and be done with it as quick as possible without using any special skills.

Seeing that Grey would not follow her to tongue wrestle again, Violet suddenly rushed at Grey who had also done the same the moment he saw her body tense up to move.

Their fists crashed against one another and they both retreated by two steps. In the time space that he was retreating, Grey suddenly brought out his dagger from his storage pouch. Similarly, Violet also brought out somethinb from her bag. It was a small knife.

They looked over at each other and their gazes clahed temporarily. Then they rushed forth again and swing their weapons at each other. This time Grey staggered back only one step while Violet went back four.

Grey rushed out again. Seeing him coming close, Violet suddenly did hand seals and purple mist came out from her body. She pulled her hands together in Grey's direction and he suddenly felt as if he was being squeezed.

This squeezing sensation made him look at his target, purple light suddenly shone forth in his eyes right at the moment Violet looked at him. She let out a low groan and the seal she was castinh broke apart.

With his freedom regained, Grey rushed out towards her again. Although you could not say Grey was overly fast, he was still fast enough to the point where you would only see a blur.

He breezed past Violet and swung his arm but his dagger was blocked by the small knife. Seeing his attack fail, he then swung his free hand towards her chest.

Normally Grey would have felt pensive about striking a lady in her chest, so he changed the trajectory of his fist and it ended up hitting her stomach instead.

Pouring all his strength into his hand, Grey struck and sent her skidding back. A cold glint could be seen in his eyes as he activated Dragon eyes again, but after it had being used on her once Violet no longer fell for the same trick, he closed her eyes and continued on her attack, relying on her perception.

All through no one had said anything, but they both felt like their opponents were holding back. For example, Grey had not used his sword technique and has not tried to amplify the power of Dragon eyes with the purple crystal. If he did that, his battle prowess would have soared.

On the other hand, Violet had not used any of her dangerous techniques. She only used a suppressive technique once and nothing else. As a student of Sky Mist Academy, she would undoubtedly have some other Sky Mist techniques.

Grey on the other hand, only knew Sky Mist art. But he had not progressed far in it. He would hardly be able to defend against any stronger arts.

Just as he was comprehending his next line of action, Violet suddenly sighed and spoke up. "You're not using your full power, and neither am I. So instead of wasting time, let one of us just quit the match. Normally I would beat you up, but because I like you, I will throw in this match. Don't forget you owe me one thousand points!" With that said, she jumped down the stage.

Grey opened his eyed in surprise, he had not expected her to throw the match at all. But he could clearly see her walking away into fge distance.

Feeling a buring gaze on her back, she turned around and saw Grey looking at her with a puzzled expression on his face. Her lips curled into a mischievous grin once more as she disappeared in a flash of light. He then remembered her saying something about him owing her one hundred points.

With a confused expression on his face, Grdt climbed down the stage. He had won despite not knowing how he won. There seemed to be no rule about whether your opponent could admit defeat, but since the examiner did not say a word, everyone kept silent.

But their gazes followed Grey until he went to his teammates side. Strangely, he had not been teleported out of the arena. He himself found it strange.

His team said nothing about it, they just gave him a few looks of surprise, but after that they focused on the other matches. Ange came to his side and whispered softly into his hair.

"What did you say to her that made her to give up the match?" She asked.

"You didn't hear?" Grey was baffled. He was for sure that she spoke loudly. Ange nodded her head and he told her everything Violet told him. Ange furrowed her brows but did not say anything more. Her gaze retracted back to the fight. Although she did take some glances at Grey, she kept quiet.
