Chapter 8 Hogwarts
"Oh, you're doing magic, let me see."
The girl leaned against the doorframe and watched Ron cast the spell with interest.
Ron recited a spell in a decent manner and pointed his wand at the mouse named Scabbers.
The wand glowed, but the mouse did not turn yellow.
Apparently, the magic failed.
Lumi breathed a sigh of relief.
"Are you sure that's a spell? It doesn't look very effective."
When the girl said this, Ron looked strange.
"I learned a few simple spells myself, and they are quite effective."
The girl naturally sat next to Lumi.
"I'm Hermione Granger."
"I'm Harry Potter."
"Oh my God, you're Harry Potter."
"Ron Weasley."
"Lumi Guriel."
Hearing the name, Hermione's eyes widened and she looked at Lumi in surprise, "Gu Lier? Gu Lier Pastry Shop?"
"Oh my god, I can only dream of eating your cake again."
Hermione's eyes were bright and she moved closer to Lumi.
Lumi's expression froze and he quietly moved towards the corner.
When Hermione saw this, her face looked a little ugly. Then she took a deep breath to calm down, then took out her wand and pointed it at Harry's glasses.
"The glasses are back as good as ever."
Cracked glasses instantly look like new.
"cool."
Lumi's eyes lit up.
This was the first time someone of his age had cast a spell. Lumi was successfully aroused and moved to the corner again, successfully getting in close contact with the train.
"I think you better hurry up and change, we're almost there."
Hermione was hurt by Lumi's retreat and didn't want to stay here any longer. She left after leaving a word.
When the three of them saw this, they closed the door and changed their clothes.
Finally, the train stopped.
Everyone got out of the car, and every new student walked excitedly toward the door.
"The first-year students will meet me here."
Big Hagrid stood there like a beacon, giving everyone a target.
Everyone followed Hagrid to the waterside and saw the dark river water and small boats.
"Come up here, be careful not to fall into the water."
When the freshmen emerged from the bridge hole and saw the Hogwarts castle, everyone was very excited. They looked at the castle not far away and imagined their future life.
Standing by the water was Professor McGonagall. She was still wearing a dark green wizard robe and stood there with a serious expression.
"Follow me."
After Mag finished speaking, he led a group of little beans into the castle, climbed up the steps, and stood at the door of the auditorium.
She gave an overview of the Hogwarts houses.
The brave Gryffindor, the knowledgeable Ravenclaw, the loyal Hufflepuff and the shrewd Slytherin.
The characteristics of students in the four colleges are different, but the knowledge they learn is the same.
Among them, house points are the top priority every year. Hogwarts uses this method as a means of competition among the four houses, which can be considered very mild.
Although during this period Neville found the toad on the steps and successfully brought an episode to Professor McGonagall's speech.
"It seems everything said on the train is true."
A blond boy with hairspray on his face looked condescendingly at Harry, "Harry Potter has arrived at Hogwarts."
Hearing Harry's name, the little beans around him started whispering.
"I'm Draco Malfoy."
"Pfft."
Ron laughed.
Draco's expression suddenly turned bad.
"Is my name funny?"
"Red hair, old robes, it seems you must be from the Weasley family."
After saying that, Ron's face became ugly.
"You will understand that some wizards are born superior to others, and I can help you."
As he spoke, he held out his hand to Harry.
"Sorry, I think I can decide who my friends are."
When Harry saw Draco insulting Ron, he didn't want to have any more interactions with him.
Draco's face turned stiff after being rejected, and he turned to see Lumi.
"I think you won't refuse my help, Gu Lier."
"of course."
Lumi shook hands with Draco under the shocked expressions of Harry and Ron.
Lumi didn't feel like he had done anything wrong.
After all, it was Ron who laughed at Draco's name first, wasn't it?
Moreover, Malfoy had already extended an invitation to him. How embarrassing it would be if he didn't give him a step to come to the stage.
I tried to make friends with others twice but was rejected in public. If I had a fragile mind, I might have jumped off the building tonight.
What's more, Malfoy should be the son Lucius mentioned, so it wouldn't be a bad thing to be friends with him.
"All right."
Professor McGonagall came out, stopped Ron and Harry from wanting to question Lumi, and said, "Everything is ready, come with me."
People lined up to enter the auditorium.
There are five long tables, and a row of professors are sitting on one long horizontal table. The one sitting in the c position is the white-bearded old man Dumbledore.
In front of the table is a chair with an old hat on it.
"Now everyone goes up when they hear the name."
After Mag finished speaking, he glanced at the roster and called her name loudly: "Hannah Abbott!"
A girl stepped forward primly and put on her hat.
"Hufflepuff!"
The Sorting Hat responded quickly.
Hannah sat down on the long Hufflepuff table, and the people around her applauded unstintingly.
"Hermione Granger!"
"Gryffindor!"
Not long after, everyone was divided into four colleges.
Harry and Ron were sorted into Gryffindor, and Draco and his followers were sorted into Slytherin.
"Lumi Gugliel!"
After finally reading his name, Lumi stepped forward and put the hat on his head.
"Oh, look at you, you shrewd man. I can feel your desire for knowledge, and I can see the bravery in your bones..."
As soon as the sound came out, Lumi took off his hat, threw it on the chair, and quickly jumped back to distance himself.
He didn't expect that even though he was alert enough, he still let this ugly hat invade his thoughts.
"What the hell are you?"
Lumi cautiously hid away, pulled out his wand and pointed it at the Sorting Hat. Although he didn't know any magic, he could at least give himself a little confidence.
"Oh, Gullil, relax."
McGonagall patted his shoulder gently and comforted him: "Don't worry, the Sorting Hat won't hurt you."
After hearing Professor McGonagall's promise, Lumi put his hat back on doubtfully.
But Lumi was already prepared to stay away from other people as much as possible in the future. The magical world was far more terrifying than he imagined.
"Your vigilance is far beyond my imagination. Let me see, oh, you have an interesting talent. If you are assigned to another college, you will be buried."
The Sorting Hat thought for a moment and shouted, "Hufflepuff!"
"Oh!!"
The Hufflepuff table erupted in even louder applause than before.
Lumi quickly put his hat on the chair and slowly walked to the Hufflepuff table, carefully sitting at the farthest end.
After the sorting ceremony, Dumbledore gave a speech, emphasizing that the rooms on the fourth floor could not be entered, otherwise life would be in danger. Finally, he said something that he didn't know what it meant. Until he clapped his hands, a bunch of delicious food appeared on the table.
Lumi looked at the food in front of him and the happily eating classmates around him. He didn't touch any food and looked around with great vigilance.
Everyone here except Professor McGonagall and Hagrid is a stranger.
Alertness: 100%!
After the banquet was over, Lumi followed the prefects to the Hufflepuff lounge.
It's underground, but it doesn't feel cold at all.
Lumi learned how to knock barrels, and by the way, he also learned the name of the founder of the hospital.
The great Helga Hufflepuff!
It's a very cozy place with a warm fireplace and comfy sofas.
According to the seniors, Hufflepuff is the closest to the kitchen and can be reached within a short walk.
Returning to the assigned dormitory, Lumi packed the bed and took out a small box from the box.
It contains bread that can last for three days without going bad.
I took a bite and, well, it was a bit hard, but still delicious.
"Aren't you full?"
The roommate pointed to Lumi's bread, swallowed, and said cautiously: "I am Harvey Huskey. Can I have a taste of your bread?"
Hearing this, Lumi took out another piece of bread and handed it to him.
"Merlin's lace socks! I have never tasted such delicious bread!"
After he took a bite of the bread, he shouted excitedly.
The remaining two roommates were still reserved at first, but after hearing what he said, they could no longer hold back and approached Lumi.
Lumi was not stingy about this.
These three people are my roommates for the next seven years, so it is necessary to put down some caution appropriately.
But they are still relatively unfamiliar, so Lumi's wariness level against them is: 70%.
The bread was only brought for three days. This was Lumi's reminder to work hard to integrate into Hogwarts.
Lumi knew that he had to adapt to the magic of Hogwarts and let go of his guard appropriately.
But his long-term habit makes him not trust others easily, even Rufu, who has been with him for five years.
