Chapter 54: New Demoness
As the energy storm faded and the summoning circle dimmed, she stepped fully into the room with perfect control—like she had always belonged.
Her gaze landed on Alex immediately.
She didn't kneel.
She smiled.
A slow, dangerous, intrigued smile.
Her voice came low, smooth, yet carrying the static weight of a thunderclap. "So… you're the one who dared bind me with a Hell Lightning Core."
She raised her hand—and in her palm, the same soul-core crystal Alex had used was now pulsing again, stolen from the circle as if it was always hers.
Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly. "Do you even know what kind of power you called down? Who I am? Or did you just get lucky?"
Alex met her gaze without flinching. "I knew what I was summoning. I needed power. The kind that doesn't hide. The kind that burns down empires."
She tilted her head, walking a slow circle around him, her tail trailing just behind. "So calm. So confident… and mortal. You smell of blood, command, and something... ancient."
She stopped directly in front of him again, her tone shifting from teasing to something darker—curious, but also sharp with challenge.
"What kind of man reaches into the storm and pulls out something like me?" she asked, eyes glowing like twin suns behind a veil of lightning.
Alex didn't flinch. "I needed a servant."
Her smile vanished instantly.
Crack!
The air pulsed as her palm connected with his chest—not enough to injure, but strong enough to push him two steps back.
"A servant?" she laughed, her voice echoing like thunder across a battlefield. "You dare summon me—a Baroness of Wrath and Lightning—and call me a servant?"
Alex adjusted his stance, steady again, unfazed.
Her eyes narrowed. "Then you clearly don't understand how demons work, human. Only the strong command the lesser. You summon me, but that does not mean I kneel. You must make me."
Suddenly, lightning exploded from her body, crackling across the floor like live wires. The red rune-marks on her skin flared as she spread her arms, and the entire room shifted—turning dark, the air thick with pressure.
A red and black lightning field surrounded them both, and she rose slightly above the ground as energy gathered beneath her feet.
"Welcome," she hissed, "to my domain: the Withered Stormfield."
Alex narrowed his eyes. "A domain-level demon…"
Cypher's eyes widened slightly from the sidelines. "She's serious."
In a blink, Zephyra darted forward, faster than any normal eye could track. Her knee slammed into Alex's side, followed by a rapid spin-kick to his shoulder. He grunted, but stayed upright, sliding back a few feet from the force.
"She's stronger than me physically," he muttered, wiping blood from the corner of his lip, "but that's not enough."
His aura flared.
Blood-red energy burst from within him—violent, thick, and ancient. His body was wreathed in faint demonic flames as a glowing sigil pulsed behind his back.
[Supreme Demon Lineage Activated – Demonic Energy Based Attacks Resistance: 90%]
The moment the system message echoed in his mind, Alex's aura surged with clarity. His blood-red energy pulsed like a second heart, wrapping around him like armor. The hellish heat of Zephyra's domain no longer weighed on him.
Zephyra hovered mid-air, lightning crackling from her palms. "Let's see you block this."
She hurled a spiraling arc of pure hell lightning—fast and precise. It collided with Alex's chest in a thunderous burst… and fizzled out harmlessly.
He didn't even flinch.
Her eyes narrowed.
"Tch."
She fired another. Then another. A rapid volley of lightning spears, thunderbolts, and compressed storm discs—every single one laced with high-tier demonic energy. Any normal being would've been incinerated.
But each time they struck, they merely burst against his resistance field like rain hitting a stone.
Smoke curled from his clothes, but his body stood firm—unshaken, unburned.
Alex slowly stepped forward through the bombardment, his eyes locked on her.
"Is that all?" he said calmly. "Please, if you want to see me naked just say it. You don't have to be an angry cat and burn my clothes for it."
Zephyra bared her teeth in frustration and dropped to the floor. Her movements were swift, elegant—but desperate. She darted forward, fists glowing, launching a flurry of jabs and strikes, enhanced by the storm inside her.
Alex allowed some to land—his ribs cracked, shoulder bruised, chin scraped. But none of it was enough. His regeneration kicked in, his body stabilizing under pressure.
Then he moved.
He caught her leg mid-kick, flipped her over his shoulder, and pinned her to the ground, one knee on her stomach and a glowing fist at her throat.
Her crimson lightning flickered and faded.
She panted hard, eyes wide with disbelief. "You resisted all of it…"
"I told you," Alex said quietly. "I don't need to beat you to prove anything. I just need you to see that you can't beat me."
The silence between them grew thick.
Finally, Zephyra blinked, her pride trembling—but not broken.
Then she smiled.
"Hah…" She exhaled slowly. "I yield."
Her arms relaxed against the cracked ground, wings folding behind her.
"I yield to you, Alex," she said with a growl of reluctant respect. "You've proven you're strong enough to lead. From now on… I am yours."
A system notification chimed softly in Alex's mind.
[Baron-Class Hell Lightning Demoness: Zephyra has submitted to you]
[Congratulations Host, you have subdued a lower class Demoness on your own]

[Gain more recognition from powerful Demons to fully revive the broken Supreme Demon Lineage inside you]
Alex stood, offering her his hand. She took it, rising with grace—her proud, athletic form crackling with restrained energy.
"I will protect your domain," she said, her voice low and reverent. "I will destroy your enemies. And I will be the storm behind your throne."
From the side, Cypher smirked approvingly. "Another one brought to heel. At this rate, you'll have a harem full of Demonesses."
Alex gave a faint grin. "Only if they're useful."
He looked at Zephyra again.
"And you? You're more than useful. Welcome to the family."
