Chapter 143: Gaming Setup
After dropping off Amelia, Noah headed home after the long day.
arriving at the gates of the complex, Noah gestured for Anderson to come towards him.
Anderson leaned closer to the window.
"Yes, Mr. Thompson. How can I help you?"
"I need you to pick someone who knows about IT, I need him to help me set up my PC."
"This will be paid of course," Noah added.
Anderson nodded and motioned for the guards to listen up.
"Does anyone here know about IT? I need someone to help Mr Thompson with his PC set up." He shouted, his voice loud so everyone could hear him.
One of the guards raised his hands.
"I know how to do it sir, "
Anderson nodded and gestured for him to come.
Glancing at the man next to Anderson, naoh smiled.
"Alright, get in," He motioned to him.
The guard nervously entered the Lamborghini after some hesitation.
"It looks so luxurious from the inside," He thought, as his eyes scanned the interior.
Noah parked and got out, stepping out of the car, he grabbed most of the bags from the trunk and nodded toward the guard, who stood a bit hesitant, unsure if he should offer to help.
"Grab the last bag, and here, take the keys and lock it up," Noah said, handing him the Lamborghini's keys.
"Yes, sir," the guard nodded immediately, grabbing the bag and carefully locking the car.
His gaze remained on the car for a moment before he turned to follow Noah.
"Do you need help with those, sir?" he asked, noticing the number of bags Noah was carrying, while he held the smallest bag that contained the miscellaneous.
"No, I've got it," Noah replied, voice completely unstrained.
The guard followed behind slowly, impressed by Noah's strength and balance.
As they entered a large, open room.
Noah placed the bags down, gesturing to an empty desk on one side.
"Set it up here, alright?"
The guard handed over the Lamborghini keys, giving a respectful nod. "Yes, sir. I'll get it done. It should be ready in about an hour and a half."
"Perfect. I'll be in the living room," Noah said, giving him a brief nod before he turned around to leave.
The guard started working immediately. He unpacked the bags carefully and laid each component out to assemble later on.
Meanwhile, Noah walked down the hallway to his room.
He entered his ensuite bathroom after grabbing some comfortable pyjamas.
After filling the jacuzzi, Noah slowly sank into the warm water, his mind riding the waves.
The quiet bubbling and warmth made him relax further.
After about half an hour, he was feeling much better. He slowly got out of the jacuzzi, his athletic build dripping water on the floor.
He dried himself, then changed into the comfortable pair of pyjamas and left his room, heading to the living room to wait.
Soon the time was up.
"Mr. Thompson? I've finished with the setup." Said the guard, as he approached Noah.
Noah nodded his head and followed him to the room to check it out.
Entering the room, he took a look at the neatly arranged PC, with its glass case showing off the components and RGB colours.
"Nicely done," Noah said, nodding in approval as he scanned over the sleek build.
"Everything is connected?"
"Yes, sir. It's all set to go. I ran a quick diagnostic—everything's working perfectly," the guard replied, his tone professional, though he couldn't hide a hint of pride in his work.
"Good to hear. I appreciate it," Noah said with a small smile. "What's your name?"
"Greg, sir. Greg Hanson," the guard replied, standing a bit taller at being asked directly.
"Well, Greg, thank you for your help tonight," Noah said, reaching for his wallet. He handed Greg 2 bills, more than enough to cover his time.
"Consider this your tip."
Greg's eyes widened slightly as he took the money.
"Thank you, Mr. Thompson, I appreciate this."
Noah's hand slightly brushed against Greg's, oblivious to what was happening, Greg continued smiling as Noah went through his memories.
He had activated his advanced skill 'Memory Glance' to check whether Greg had tampered with his set-up.
He had decided to do it after the set-up, as the memory would not be hazy and he would be able to see it more clearly.
"He didn't do anything," Noah thought, as he finished analysing the final scenes.
Noah gave a nod, gesturing toward the door. "I'll call on you again if I need any other setup done. You did good work."
With a polite nod, Greg gave his thanks once more before heading toward the door, still in slight disbelief at the generous tip he'd received from Noah.
"He gave me $200, what a generous man," He thought, as he closed the door behind him.
He then called one of his colleagues, to come pick him up.
Meanwhile... Inside the mansion.
Noah sat down on the PC, he decided to further check just in case.
After making sure there was nothing wrong, he downloaded a few essential apps like Steams, EpicGamess and BattleNit.
After downloading them, he made an account in each app, he downloaded Underwatch 2 and added Amelia as a friend.
"Friend Request Sent!"
He quickly charged up $500, for each app and bought a few games.
"Ding! Bops6 has been purchased!"
"This game better be worth the hype," He muttered silently, as he thought about all the trailers he had seen recently.
"Ding! Chicken Dinner has been purchased!"
"Ding! RocketLeagues has been purchased!"
"Ding! CounterStrke has been purchased!"
...
after around 10 minutes, he had purchased every single popular game.
After placing all the games on the list of downloads, to download whilst he was sleeping.
He texted Amelia.
"I have finished setting up the PC, I sent you a friend request. My username is FatesChoice, make sure you accept it!" He typed out quickly, "Let's play another time, I'm going to sleep right now."
"Goodnight."
Checking the message one last time, he got up and went to his room.
Setting his phone on the table near his bed, he drifted to sleep.
