Chapter 519: SS Level Confrontation
Several minutes later, the convoy slowly stopped in front of the gates of Kunpeng Martial Arts Academy. Chu Mo did not rush to get out of the car. Instead, he had Fan Gao go to negotiate. A few minutes later, the academy's gates opened, and the convoy proceeded to move forward.
A line of luxury cars entered through the school gate and eventually parked in the campus parking lot under the guidance of a security guard. With the continuous sound of car doors opening, about a dozen black-clad bodyguards had already taken up positions around the vehicles.
Fan Gao personally opened the car door for Chu Mo. After getting out of the car, Chu Mo immediately spotted that dazzling red Ferrari in the parking lot, which he recognized as belonging to the girl he had encountered earlier.
Protected by a procession of guards, Chu Mo walked towards the interior of the academy. In front of him was a huge playground, with several teaching buildings standing next to it. At this moment, the academy was very quiet, with no figures walking around. Evidently, it was class time.
The martial arts academy was not only about teaching various martial arts; on the contrary, from primary school to middle and high school, various subjects were also of utmost importance.
The middle-aged security guard, walking in front with caution, led the way. Chu Mo strolled casually; the entire academy was vibrant with flowers in full bloom, and the occasional sounds of clear and sonorous reading from the classrooms were quite pleasing to the ear. Looking at the playground and the sports field, Chu Mo felt as if he had returned to his own student days.
As they advanced, they arrived in front of a teaching building. The middle-aged bodyguard whispered:
"The Grandmaster is in the assessment hall, instructing the students. The assessment hall is on the sixth floor. Please follow me!"
Chu Mo nodded. Obviously, there was no elevator here. Climbing the stairs, he quickly reached the sixth-floor corridor and was soon led by the middle-aged security guard to a door.
Just as the middle-aged security guard was about to open the door, unexpectedly, the door was suddenly opened from the inside. Then a young man in his mid-twenties, with a very fit physique, said:
"Please come in, our Headmaster has been waiting for you for a long time!"
Chu Mo glanced at the fit young man before him. The man was about the same age as himself and approximately 1.8 meters tall as well, but the lean muscles he sported were bursting with explosive strength. The youth's eyes sparkled with energy, clearly indicating his exceptional skill.
Chu Mo nodded slightly to the man before walking through the door first.
As soon as he entered the lobby, Chu Mo saw two familiar figures: one of them was his target, Wu Kunpeng, and the other was the Ferrari girl he had encountered earlier, Wu Youyou.
However, at that moment, a tense atmosphere pervaded the hall. The girl named Wu Youyou was sparring with a tall young man, and both looked serious, evidently wary of each other.
Around the hall, twenty or thirty students were seated, watching the two people in the center of the hall without diverting their eyes. Right then, Wu Kunpeng, seated at the main position in the hall, nodded at Chu Mo.
Chu Mo nodded back. He then waved his hand slightly toward the group of people behind him and began walking towards Wu Kunpeng at the main seat.
A young student prepared a chair for Chu Mo, and as he sat down, a sharp shout suddenly reached his ears. He quickly turned his head to see that the girl in the center of the arena had already launched an attack on her opponent.
The girl's movements were agile and smooth, and each action was imbued with ruthlessness and decisiveness.
Opposite the girl, the tall male student, although not as flawlessly skilled in the "Golden Bell Shield" as Wu Kunpeng, executed it well enough. The two in the arena exchanged blows back and forth, making it difficult to determine the winner for the time being.
Chu Mo's gaze swept around the entire hall. He noticed that nearly twenty students in the hall all exhibited impressive presence. Although they may not match the carefully selected professional bodyguards by his side, in the eyes of ordinary people, each was considered top-notch.
Especially the fit young man who had opened the door earlier; he stood behind Wu Kunpeng. The young man's restrained demeanor commanded respect.
"Ha!"
In the center of the hall, the young girl in white saw an opportunity. She suddenly broke through her opponent's defense, and a rain of attacks fell upon the tall young man.
Meanwhile, the tall male student, knowing he couldn't dodge, held his breath and focused. His muscles instantly turned extremely hard, allowing the girl's punches to hit him without any attempt to dodge.
Clearly, the tall student was employing the "Golden Bell Shield," but he was not quite up to par. His breath couldn't last very long, and after only a short while, his face began to turn red.
If Wu Kunpeng had personally performed, the girl's attacks might not even have tickled him, but that young man in the arena had merely a third of the skill, far from mastering the "Golden Bell Shield."
Similarly, though the girl appeared delicate, each of her attacks contained both softness and rigidity. Her seemingly soft fists, in fact, were capable of knocking down an ordinary person with one punch.
Therefore, after holding on for a dozen seconds, the tall male finally ran out of breath, his previously impervious defense broke, and ultimately, with a fierce shout from the girl, he was forced back three steps.
"The match is over, Wu Youyou wins!"
As Wu Kunpeng's authoritative voice sounded, the two in the center adjusted their breathing and bowed before exiting the arena.
