Chapter 45: Gold Hunt
Not long after the four had set forth, they suddenly found themselves surrounded by the ordeal guys—all four of them. Meanwhile, at the Merry, which had set out heading away from the island, they were also suddenly confronted by two foes who claimed to be the relatives of one of the priests.
"I don't see the one that attacked us yesterday," the lance-carrying priest said.
"How unfortunate," the dog priest replied.
"If you focus all your power on us, then you'll lose the war that's currently going on," Lucas said loudly.
"That is none of your concern, blue sea folk," the lance-carrying priest retorted with a glare.
"Well, whatever. Let's get this started, shall we? We've got gold to claim," Luffy said. Immediately, he charged, followed by the others. Lucas turned into Cannonbolt and targeted the round priest. It was at that moment they realized Lucas was the one they had a bone to pick with, but they were already preoccupied with the other Straw Hats. The dog-faced priest faced Zoro, the weird spider-hair guy faced Robin, and the lance guy faced Luffy. Their collisions caused a loud rumbling in the forest as they fought.
Crashed on the far side of the forest, Lucas and the round priest squared off. The previous attack had already dealt some harm to the round priest.
"Ho, ho, hooo! I'll get you for what you've done to me," Satori said menacingly.
Lucas just stood there, looking at him. He blitzed from Satori's field of vision, appearing behind him and landing a blow with the back of his hand. One would wonder how Lucas moved so fast with those short legs. While Cannonbolt is fast when curled up, his foot speed is another matter. Satori crashed into the trees on his left. Without waiting a second longer, Lucas transformed into Four Arms, leaping to where Satori had crashed and proceeding to punch him several more times. As he was about to land his fifth blow, an explosion pushed him back a few steps.
"Finally showed up, eh?" Lucas said, his grin and four eyes met with an electric glare full of disdain.
"Honestly, I thought you'd at this point decided to move further with your plans to destroy this cloud," Lucas said, facing the man.
"You already ruined my plans. If I let you go any further, you would only create more damage," Eneru muttered, standing in front of Lucas. Initially, he had planned to wait for this game he saw as a war to go on before ending Skypiea, but with Lucas's presence, things were different.
"I don't know what you hoped to gain by showing those pitiful Skypieans my goals, but that will make no difference. You're my only threat here, and once I eliminate you, I'll be free to do as I like," Eneru said, standing in a battle stance. His golden staff sparked as he channeled electricity through it. Lucas had shown Conis and her father those memories as well. When he showed the Straw Hats, he also made sure they were safe when Eneru shot down that beam of lightning.
"Hmpf. You need not worry about that. It's just a little something for my own indulgence. I may have accepted that things will be different with me here, but some things I still want to happen. It's more entertaining, after all," Lucas said as he changed his form. "I'll start by breaking this guy out for now," he said with a smile. He transformed into one of Ben's most loved aliens. "Feedback and Chromastone will make a fine fusion, if I do say so myself," he muttered, smiling. Though he looked just like Feedback, some of his skin resembled that of Chromastone.
Eneru charged, a streak of lightning marking his movements. "One hundred thousand volts!" Eneru muttered, thrusting his staff at Lucas. As Lucas caught it with his hand, a ridiculous amount of lightning burst forth from the tip of the staff. The forest roared as the explosion shook the ground and nearby trees caught fire. But as the smoke cleared, Eneru's confident smile turned into shock as he felt the staff still being held firmly. His eyes widened, and his jaw dropped.
"Impossible!" he exclaimed. Lucas let go of the staff as Eneru pulled it back, jumping backward a few steps, taken aback by the sudden occurrence. He had never seen someone withstand such a blow. Lucas's body glowed a bit as he clasped his fist.
"That was quite the blow there," he said, charging at Eneru. Though Eneru was taken aback, he quickly refocused, trying to create some distance. Eneru leaped back to the tree behind him, then jumped upward from the tree. As he hovered above Lucas, he channeled his lightning powers again, calling forth a large bolt of lightning that struck the ground where Lucas stood.
"Uhhh! Eneru!?" Waipa muttered as he moved through the forest, noticing the giant lightning bolt. No one could miss it; everyone on the island could see it and feel its quake. Waipa changed direction, heading towards the source of the bolt.
"Whaaaa!!!" Eneru stood completely flabbergasted, seeing Lucas standing there unharmed. Lucas shot lightning from his hand sockets, propelling himself upward to reach Eneru, who was now truly taken aback.
"Is that all you got?" Lucas muttered, spinning in the air to gather momentum before punching Eneru straight in the face. At this moment, Eneru was completely shocked. He tried to make himself purely energy to avoid contact with Lucas, but it didn't work. Lucas's punch hit him so hard that he was sent flying off to the White-White Sea, possibly even reaching Angel Beach.
While in the air, Lucas transformed into Jetray, flying towards the direction Eneru was sent flying. In no time, he arrived at Angel Beach, where Eneru clung to a tree, one of his arms injured. His face was bruised red, and he bled a little from his nose.
"How is this even possible! No one is impervious to lightning. No matter, everyone has a weakness," Eneru muttered, standing up and holding his staff firmly. "I'm not even on the island now. If I can't hurt him, then I'll use my mantra," he muttered, seeing Lucas landing on the beach. At this point, he figured any strange-looking creature he saw was Lucas. He thought Lucas must have eaten a Devil Fruit as well, given his strange abilities—though this was the first time he had seen someone capable of turning into various forms, even more so than Zoan types.
