Chapter 76
"We aren't strange; you're just thinking too much," Treyton said.
Both of them just have a bit of a problem in their state of mind. However, it really doesn't bother them and others in their daily lives, so he doesn't think that it was a big problem at all.
With how chaotic the world had become, having such issues would be nothing compared to those who had already lost their morals as soon as it became chaotic.
As long as they still have morals and don't cross their bottom lines, everything would still be fine.
In this apocalyptic age, they would surely not only kill zombies in the future but would also kill people.
There's a lot of people who would surely be worse than Mr. Adel's group, and they might even be targeted by such people. At that time, they'll surely kill some of them, because if not, then it would be them who will die.
This apocalyptic time was emphasizing survival of the fittest. If they weren't strong enough in terms of ability, mind, and heart, they would be swallowed with the flow of these chaotic times without being able to do anything.
Treyton doesn't want to be swallowed by such times, so he and the others needed to keep getting stronger. And on their way to become stronger, they would surely need to kill others.
The time they were in seemed to force them to regress their peaceful society back to the times of chaos in history and even make it worse.
So, Luceil's mentality wasn't a big problem in such chaotic times; in fact, it seemed that it was very suitable in the era they were in.
As long as he doesn't become a killing maniac because of his disregarding people as people, then he wouldn't become a problem.
Well, with how lazy Luciel is, he probably doesn't want to do such a bothersome thing. Instead of killing someone, he would probably be more interested in just sitting around and playing games.
"Ok, I'm not going to argue with that. You guys probably don't know it yourselves. Let's just say that you guys aren't strange," Nathan said.
Treyton didn't say anything back to Nathan anymore, who obviously doesn't believe that they don't have any problems.
Instead, he looked at everyone in the room. Wes and Liam were already almost done cleaning the blood splattered on the floor.
Jane and Yang also removed their hands, covering the kids' eyes, as soon as only a little bit of blood was left on the floor.
"Dad, why did you cover my eyes? I also wanted to see how brother defeated those villains," Ashlee complained.
"You'll be able to see it later, but not now," Yang said.
With Ashlee's question, Treyton remembered that he still hadn't reminded everyone not to talk about what Luciel could really do to anyone.
Luceil hated things that were bothersome, so he preferred not to do anything at all.
He also agreed to let Luciel continue his leisurely lifestyle so other people don't need to know that he can really do so that he won't be bothered by other people trying to rely on him.
Fortunately, aside from the seller, Aldo, Jane's family, and Ava's team, the rest were all the people that were with them from the villa.
Mark and the others stayed in their cars to safeguard them. Those people who were also following them went to look for they're on accommodation because they have to look around if they really wanted to stay in this settlement.
"Listen up, everyone. Don't mention what Luciel had done today, even to the others that aren't here. If someone asked, just tell them that we dealt with Mr. Adel's group without mentioning Ciel. Ciel doesn't like bothersome things, so just keep quiet about what he could do," Treyton said while looking at everyone.
"We understand."
"We will keep quiet about it."
All of them agreed to keep things quiet.
"Now, let's talk more about what we are going to do with this survivor's settlement," Treyton said.
While Luceil was sleeping in the afternoon, the other group from the nearby community already visited them to invite them.
However, unlike Mr. Adel and his subordinates, they didn't forcefully invite them.
They just said that if they were interested in staying, then they could join. It seemed that they were also aware that the settlement they were currently in wasn't suitable for long-term survival, so they also expressed in their invitation that they would be moving later.
They probably didn't confront Mr. Adel's group directly because they were also planning to leave afterwards. They didn't want to have unnecessary losses, so even if Mr. Adel's group were doing a lot of bad things, they didn't bother confronting them directly.
Their strength was also not enough to really deal with Mr. Adel's group, so it was still good to stay clear out of each so that they wouldn't have to sacrifice any of their members.
However, such a situation also caused a lot of ordinary people to continue being exploited by Mr. Adel's group.
Treyton wasn't a saint to just help anyone because he saw other people suffering. If it would cause a lot of inconvenience to themselves, then he wouldn't help.
Such thinking was also the reason why he was always scolded by his grandpa, who had always preached that they should always help people as long as they could.
However, he would still try to help if he could and had the power to do it.
"Before leaving tomorrow, we will go and deal with Mr. Adel's main group. Let's learn a bit from Ciel and cause them some damage so that they won't be able to trouble other people later," Treyton said.
"Oh, we are also going to castrate them?" Nathan immediately asked.
"If you want to castrate them, then of course you can," Treyton replied.
He didn't mean to learn from Luciel and castrate them, but it's indeed also a good way to cause damage so that they won't be able to cause more trouble later.
